Our waitress Amber was great. She was very knowledgeable and informative about the menu. The Angus burger was made to perfection, according to my husband. The duck fat fries are a must try!
We had a very nice meal this evening. The duck fat fries were as good as we'd heard. Entrees were good, too. The bread pudding dessert was tasty and sized for sharing.
We have been fans of Victoria's for years. The food is delicious and the vibe is fun. We would visit a lot more often if they would seasonally change the menu. On rare occasions they add or delete an item on the menu and the only seasonal nod I look forward to is the cheese stuffed squash blossoms in the summer. They are fantastic and worth a special trip. So, even though the lobster grilled cheese sandwich is very good ( although the lobster was pretty skimpy this visit) and the duck fat fries are amazing, we will continue to limit our visits to two or three times a year. Howard County is blessed with MANY great restaurants so we can find variety elsewhere.
Great list of beers and our waiter knew the list well. The menu was less interesting, but my fish and chips were good and others seemed happy. They have a beer club for regulars.
Love the food, drinks & ambiance!
Poutine was excellent!! Victoria's crab dish was ok. The crab meat was fresh the veggies were fresh but not seasoned well. The biscuit was off, not good.
It would be lovely if you had a gluten free menu for brunch!
The food and service was great. I had the sirloin which was super. I had a cherry shout that was awesome.
Food was delicious, but slow to come out. Otherwise, server and overall experience great. Will definitely go back.
Used Open table to make a reservation. As a special note I asked for a quiet location for a business lunch. Restaurant was very accommodating and our seating was conducive for a one-on-one conversation.
Our server was excellent. She did an exceptional job handling a very large room of diners. I wish I had caught her name as she did an excellent job and is to be commended.
Food is ok for a lunch. I had the mushroom burger and my guest had a Reuben. I would order the sandwich again, but not exceptional.
Overall I would say it was a good experience and would recommend that diners give Victoria Gastro Pub a try.
We were a group of 11, and the staff was very accommodating with our reservation and me adding a couple on the day of. We were initially impressed, but one server trying to take care of all of us got challenging. I don't remember anyone's water glass being refilled, anyone being asked if their meal was ok. I'm used to better service at other restaurants.
This place has a great happy hour, but bar seating is limited so I def recommend getting there early. Regular lunch and dinner are also delicious, but not the same steal you're getting at the bar during happy hour. Chicken sticks we're delicious. Husband had a burger, side salad was amazing (if you like cinnamon apples). Overall, I absolutely recommend this place.
Our first visit to Victoria's pub was a pleasant surprise. Our server was very helpful, and service was good. The menu lacked choice of vegetarian entrees, and even appetizers. Still, my sweet potato gnocchi was very good, and I will keep a look out for changing menus so that I can go back and sample their food.
Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. Interesting food and beverage choices, excellent wait staff.
We had a great dinner, too bad we didn't get the large poutine!
Loved it, as always. Our waiter was happy to split the check for us. Thanks!
Great wine list. Delious lobster grilled cheese sandwich
Our waiter was great. Food very good. Enjoyable evening
Fantastic food putting creative twists on old favorites. Our personal favorites are the Beefwich (think eclectic French Dip), the Wild Boar Grilled Cheese, the Cloak and Dagger, and the Chocolate Praline Cake. There are so many more but those top the list for sure. The beer selection is extensive and diverse, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about both food and drink. My husband and I love Victoria for dates, special occasions, and sometimes just a treat.
Great brunch. Staff was great. Very fair pricing. Will be back
Service was quick throughout the meal. Our server Donnie was attentive and polite. The food was amazing. We enjoyed our favorites: duck fat fries and gnocchi. It was a wonderful experience as always.
Love the lobster sandwich and chocolate praline cake
Food was amazing will definitely be back ASAP!
Excellent starter menu but limited entrée menu. However everything was delicious and we would definitely come back again
Although pricey, the food and beer is worth it! I love the different beers that they have and that they provide the alcohol content! Try the Lobster Grill Cheese! It's the best. Their hamburgers are great too!
There was no steak on the menu at all. Chef thought it was good to take it off the menu on a busy day. Waitress was great though. Very nice and courteous.
Valentine’s Day - We like to go back to the place we had our first date, got engaged, and had our pre-wedding family dinner. Lots of good food was eaten and many great memories were made there.
Excellent food and service at dinner on Valentine's Day.
Poor service on a special day with a Valentine’s date with my husband and son.
It was their first time at the Vic’s and they will not go back:((
Our server was Joey and we had several hiccups in our night. He forgot our son’s juice/ got duck instead on chicken on pasta/ dessert took an extra 10 mins after we had paid and were waiting to leave to go hom
On a school night. Not sure if he was distracted or kitchen was backed up!
When I provided a feedback to the manager I was told oh that’s surprising since Joey is out too server!!
The menu itself was ok but food was good.
Will not recommend or go for special occasions especially if the menu is Pre fixed.
It was horrible experience never going back ! We went there for Valentine's Day and we got seated outside , it felt like a farm house ! The food was horrible . My hubby ordered chicken liver it was so bad that he gagged:( my fish was undercooked we had to send it back to cook ! So I understand that they were busy bcs it is valentine 's day but better quality y then quantity ! Sad ....
Fantastic as usual! Have been about 4-5 times and every time it's a hit. We went in for Valentine's day, and both the food and service were wonderful. They had a special prix fixe menu, but we opted for the regular menu, mostly because we had to get the duck fat fries poutine! Had the chicken and pork chop entree which were very tasty! We were so full that all we could manage for dessert was ice cream, though the citrus trifle sounded delicious. Our server Rachel was very nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend for any occasion!
As always, outstanding burger with duck fat fries. Can't be beat!
VGP always has great beer, and the menu is always solid, with a couple standby go-to's like duck fat fries and lobster mac & cheese.
It's a nice place and tries to play upscale. Neither of us were blown away by the food. On par with a chain restaurant but with a higher end price tag. Steak and pasta were run of the mill, potatoes and vegetables were undercooked.
Very disappointing brunch for 5 people. none of our group liked their food which included spatsli, English breakfast, hamburger and duck fat fries. The food was tasteless, cold coffee and inattentive waitress.
First time guest. Was seated earlier than reservation on a crowded SAT night to our pleasant surprise. Great beer menu, and solid wine list. Dinner menu has great variety and choices. Ambience is outstanding, and our waitress Rachel was top notch! We were with friends we hadn't seen in a while, and Rachel NEVER rushed us! Highly recommend giving this a try!
We enjoyed our early Valentine's Dinner. My husband got a beer flight and I got a 20 oz. beer. We thoroughly enjoyed both the beer and our dinners.
Great location. Great food. A bit noisy where we were seated especially when quiet location was requested. In future will request the booths that are separate from main dining area
Very good service.
Food was good. Had the fish and chips with a side Caesar salad. The salad contained mostly white romaine lettuce. The fish and chips were good - crispy, hot and delicious. Took quite a bit of time for server to first come over to table, then all he did was introduce himself and said he would be back with waters (which we did not ask for). He left so quickly, we could not tell him our drink order - had to wait until he came back with the waters. Then, took another while for the drinks to come. Seems a bit of a convoluted process for a random Thursday night.
