Our waiter was great. Food very good. Enjoyable evening
Fantastic food putting creative twists on old favorites. Our personal favorites are the Beefwich (think eclectic French Dip), the Wild Boar Grilled Cheese, the Cloak and Dagger, and the Chocolate Praline Cake. There are so many more but those top the list for sure. The beer selection is extensive and diverse, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about both food and drink. My husband and I love Victoria for dates, special occasions, and sometimes just a treat.
Great brunch. Staff was great. Very fair pricing. Will be back
Service was quick throughout the meal. Our server Donnie was attentive and polite. The food was amazing. We enjoyed our favorites: duck fat fries and gnocchi. It was a wonderful experience as always.
Love the lobster sandwich and chocolate praline cake
Food was amazing will definitely be back ASAP!
Excellent starter menu but limited entrée menu. However everything was delicious and we would definitely come back again
Although pricey, the food and beer is worth it! I love the different beers that they have and that they provide the alcohol content! Try the Lobster Grill Cheese! It's the best. Their hamburgers are great too!
There was no steak on the menu at all. Chef thought it was good to take it off the menu on a busy day. Waitress was great though. Very nice and courteous.
Valentine’s Day - We like to go back to the place we had our first date, got engaged, and had our pre-wedding family dinner. Lots of good food was eaten and many great memories were made there.
Excellent food and service at dinner on Valentine's Day.
It was horrible experience never going back ! We went there for Valentine's Day and we got seated outside , it felt like a farm house ! The food was horrible . My hubby ordered chicken liver it was so bad that he gagged:( my fish was undercooked we had to send it back to cook ! So I understand that they were busy bcs it is valentine 's day but better quality y then quantity ! Sad ....
Poor service on a special day with a Valentine’s date with my husband and son.
It was their first time at the Vic’s and they will not go back:((
Our server was Joey and we had several hiccups in our night. He forgot our son’s juice/ got duck instead on chicken on pasta/ dessert took an extra 10 mins after we had paid and were waiting to leave to go hom
On a school night. Not sure if he was distracted or kitchen was backed up!
When I provided a feedback to the manager I was told oh that’s surprising since Joey is out too server!!
The menu itself was ok but food was good.
Will not recommend or go for special occasions especially if the menu is Pre fixed.
Fantastic as usual! Have been about 4-5 times and every time it's a hit. We went in for Valentine's day, and both the food and service were wonderful. They had a special prix fixe menu, but we opted for the regular menu, mostly because we had to get the duck fat fries poutine! Had the chicken and pork chop entree which were very tasty! We were so full that all we could manage for dessert was ice cream, though the citrus trifle sounded delicious. Our server Rachel was very nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend for any occasion!
As always, outstanding burger with duck fat fries. Can't be beat!
VGP always has great beer, and the menu is always solid, with a couple standby go-to's like duck fat fries and lobster mac & cheese.
It's a nice place and tries to play upscale. Neither of us were blown away by the food. On par with a chain restaurant but with a higher end price tag. Steak and pasta were run of the mill, potatoes and vegetables were undercooked.
Very disappointing brunch for 5 people. none of our group liked their food which included spatsli, English breakfast, hamburger and duck fat fries. The food was tasteless, cold coffee and inattentive waitress.
First time guest. Was seated earlier than reservation on a crowded SAT night to our pleasant surprise. Great beer menu, and solid wine list. Dinner menu has great variety and choices. Ambience is outstanding, and our waitress Rachel was top notch! We were with friends we hadn't seen in a while, and Rachel NEVER rushed us! Highly recommend giving this a try!
We enjoyed our early Valentine's Dinner. My husband got a beer flight and I got a 20 oz. beer. We thoroughly enjoyed both the beer and our dinners.
Great location. Great food. A bit noisy where we were seated especially when quiet location was requested. In future will request the booths that are separate from main dining area
Very good service.
Food was good. Had the fish and chips with a side Caesar salad. The salad contained mostly white romaine lettuce. The fish and chips were good - crispy, hot and delicious. Took quite a bit of time for server to first come over to table, then all he did was introduce himself and said he would be back with waters (which we did not ask for). He left so quickly, we could not tell him our drink order - had to wait until he came back with the waters. Then, took another while for the drinks to come. Seems a bit of a convoluted process for a random Thursday night.
Victorias is a go to for me in the Columbia area. Its great for business lunches, dinners, and gatherings with friends over drinks. The place is crowded every night, so make sure you make a reservation.
It was fine ... server was very good ... food tasted delicious but disappointing portion for the price ... they left us alone to enjoy our conversation after we were done eating which was great ... overhead music was *very* loud ... even with a reservation, we were seated in their unconditioned space with alternating very hot space heaters and cold air gusts ... Great beer /wine selection but limited entree choices ... probably would only visit no more than 2x per year
Crowded, noisy and bustling past our table. tables crowded together. food mediocre and some was cold or warmed up when served (dry). our waitress kept forgetting us.
Service was terrible. Waited for 30 min for water. Alcohol took an hour. Server was terrible . Food was amazing.
We went here for my birthday on Friday evening with a group of 6 people. Our waitress was not attentive to our table. It seemed we were left needing something or waiting for our food for an abnormally large amount of time. When the food finally did come out 2 plates were wrong and 1 plate came out a full 20 minutes after everyone else’s food. By that time we were all starving and pretty unhappy. I felt bad recommending this place for my family to celebrate my birthday. The only saving grace was that they offered free dessert at the end. It didn’t seem like the waitress even cared that our table wasn’t getting any attention. I don’t know what the issue was that night at Victoria’s but I was extremely disappointed and am not sure I will ever come back or recommend it.
Comfortable pub atmosphere with a small, focused menu and better than expected quality. A few favorites and usually a couple of surprise specials. Vast wine and drinks list.
Great salads for lunch
When I first saw this restaurant 's name it put me off. Then a family member told me they loved it so I had to try. I was not dissappointed. I had the gruyere burger and it was wonderful; moist, flavorful and fresh. I also tried the duck day fries. They too were good although my cholesterol probably took a big hit. Noisy but worth the food.
