What Insiders Are Saying
Vic’s in Noho is a restaurant to keep in your back pocket for when you need something easy and good.
This is an inventive menu of food done well. All of the ingredients shine. Fabulous dishes for our group: the Peppernota to start, then most had different pastas (Hazelnut Borsas so good, as was the Rye (!) pasta). I enjoyed my Pork dish with fennel (tad fatty piece of pork but the mat was still delicious). Yummy desserts too. Our server helped choose our dishes (explaining some of the ingredients) and she made a great wine pairing suggestion too. Second time here and we again thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Had to wait over an hour despite having a reservation.
what a great find. our party all ordered pasta at vic's and every dish exceeded expectations. desserts were not as exceptional, but still quite good. with regard to ambiance, this is a busy place on the weekends, with a very high volume, lively bar area. the dining experience nevertheless retained a warm feeling, and why? the excellent service. our server was outstanding, and that was the factor that put the whole experience over the top.
The pizza was nothing special but the occhi pasta was delicious. Also staff service needs to be more attentive it took longer than 15 minutes for our meals to come out.
We ordered food. One of my is ordered a potato with egg option. Egg came out separately and main component didn’t. We requested it and it came out wrong and then they replaced egg twenty minutes later.
Other orders wrong too. Awful
Vic is a millennial and this is his go-to spot for self-conscious preening. I miss 5 Points.
Great service! Fun for a group and girl night out!
Too loud. Limited menu. But good value. Good location and attracts a good crowd
The service was so good, I'd give the team 10 stars if possible. The food was very good and the overall ambiance was superb.
My husband & I chose Vic's b/c it was close by to where we were shopping, it had a $ rating, + it was classified as Italian food. Our reservation was for 12:30pm. The dining room decor was very attractive & inviting. Each table was nicely set with a water and wine glass I immediately noticed there was a sunlit room at the back of the restaurant which allowed natural light to enter the main dining room. I also noticed there was a brick oven in that back room. I suspected it may have contributed to the lack of a/c in the dining room. The menu wasn't as extensive as I expected for an Italian restaurant. There was also a meager number of alcoholic beverages on the menu. I mentioned it to our server, & she presented a separate wine list. The number of wine selections was adequate, but most bottles were priced well above what I expected for a restaurant rated as $. We selected a bottle of Sicilian red wine that was priced at $48 (which was toward the low end of the range). It was certainly not the best wine I've had at this price point, but it was drinkable. We went directly to ordering our entrees since none of the appetizers were attractive to us (not even the roasted blowfish tails). I ordered the entree called "Calabrian Chili Crispy Chicken" which was described to me as boneless chicken coated in rice flour and cooked in a spicy chili oil.
Topping was a purple lettuce cousin to endive called "treviso", along with fennel and caraway. No starch came with this entree so I ordered Yukon gold potatoes as a side. My husband ordered the broiled Sea Scallops entree. It also came with no side, so he shared the potatoes with me. I have to say that the presentation of the chicken entree was excellent. Very colorful and interesting appearance (see photo). I love spicy food, and the Calabrian dish definitely delivered heat but I could barely taste anything else. Only 4 scallops on plate which looked lonely, so shared my food with my husband. Bill was $104 which was pricey :(
Second time at Vic’s and it did not disappoint!! Had dinner before a show at Subculture on a Monday night. Service is top notch. Very attentive and knowledgeable waiter. Food was excellent and came quickly. We had the sesame garlic bread and the crispy onions to start. We split small servings of cacio e pepe and the bursa pasta! We were so full we didn’t have room for dessert!
best spot in new york
if you get to chat w chef hilary sterling you're a lucky customer
her awsm vibe is the heart of this restaurant
Best waiter ever, really made the experience great. Tasty food. Salad a bit salty, but everything else delish.
The food is always excellent! Our server, Daniel, crafted a beautiful night of food and drink for us. A+
Nice spot. LOTS of construction in the area right now but once you're inside it's a bit of an oasis. Nice variety on the menu with a good range of prices. The marinated tomatoes ... delicious!
Good solid restaurant with decent service and good food. The noise level was deafening. We couldn’t talk without yelling. Would not come back because of the noise level.
The salad was good, but the fish was salty and overcooked. There was a good amount of space between tables.
Vic's is my favorite and based on last visit lives up to all expectations. The fried onions are divine
and the service perfect....thank you!
Great food, good ambience, get the cacio e pepe, the garlic bread and the gelato!
I've eaten here @3 other times and really like the menu's use of local in-season ingredients and the interesting and delicious combinations of foods in their salads, pastas, and ALL their vegetable dishes. Brunch isn't their forte; I'll come back again for dinners.
The food was amazing! Service was excellent! The calibrian crispy chicken is top notch!
Loved it and LOVED our server Daniel. He was amazing and so kind, helpful and provided excellent service.
Food was incredible and affordable. Staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable.
Vic’s was a good place for an after movie meal, food was good, nice menu selections, service was professional and friendly. Noise level was very high.
Everything was exceptional as always! Our server was lovely and attentive, with excellent wine service and great menu recommendations. The food was particularly great tonight, and our table was spacious and beautiful. We love Vic’s!
I Love This Restaurant. Pizza is really delicious and fried onion is great. The server is very kind. Highly recommended
Vic's is wonderful, and very dog-friendly with outdoor seating! We come here after often after our dog's obedience class in the neighborhood.
Service was superb and quite attentive. Cocktails were well made and tasty. Get the crisp onions, it’s an experience they’re known for. Overall we loved the place.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in NY. Always great!
I always love it but usually go for dinner -- went for a low key wedding shower brunch and it was perfect.
Just okay. Food was cold, both plates. Wouldn't return.
The flavors and presentations for every dish we ordered - exceptional! Fish, chicken, pasta, appetizers each distinctive and highly memorable. This was a Sunday evening get together with friends, but my visits for business lunches have been most enjoyable and to my guests, impressive.
The Wait Staff knew the menu well, were obviously proud of what they served and very helpful.
Amazing evening! Good food, lovely ambiance, great service — highly recommend
Our waiter Anthony was outstanding in every way. Food was excellent and we enjoyed the companynof the tables next to us as well. We sat outside and it was lovely. Inside is a bit noisy but very vibrant.
Enjoyable fresh Italian food with menu items for all different types of eaters. There is outdoor seating as well as quieter areas to dine and the more bubbly/active dining room.
Outstanding in every way. Food is inspired, setting lovely, service exemplary, price appropriate. Sets a very high bar.
Although we went to Vic's as a go to post theater drinks and dinner spot, the staff and setting always make it special. We are teated attentively and are made to feel like we are valued guests.
Despite a few minutes wait for a reserved table, the service was excellent. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable, the bartender quick and personable. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the roast chicken, which was juicy and crisp on the outside and too big for 1 meal. My companion had the clams which she loved. Get the garlic bread with goat butter, and roasted carrots. Great value for the price. Highly suggest.
