Food was all overly spicy, in an unpleasant way. Sat 15 mins after our reservation. Friendly and attentive waitress.
Interesting ingredients presented in a palatable way. Hope restaurant overall
The food was divine and complemented by excellent service! Daniel was our server and food/wine guide for the evening! We started with the Gimlet Verde - delicious even for a non-gin lover. We also had the crispy onions... so yummy with the cheese dipping sauce. We switched to wine after the cocktail and got some pretty unique whites. For food, we split the chicken, an arugula salad, the soprasetta pizza, and the Cappelletti pasta. Everything was scrumptious... highly recommend the chicken and the pizza! If I did it again, I'd skip the pasta or try a new one. The restaurant ambiance is great and loved the soft lighting. If you get a booth, there is plenty of room. Most importantly, you can hear the people you are sitting with :)
Super fun service. Great food and wine
The food was delicious however; the portion size of the Brussel sprouts and cavatelli pasta dish were very small. My boyfriend and I shared all the food we ordered and we left dinner still hungry!!
As always good lunch, they have half plate pasta's so you don't get too full. The potatoes that come with other meals are just what you need on a cold day.
Great egg white frittata. Good size and healthy.
Love Maggie at the bar!
Loved everything about Vic’ s. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and great value
Super nice and friendly. Food was excellent
Great atmosphere, good food and impressive service. Our wait staff was so very kind, patience and helpful. Just a delight.
Vic’s is a consistent winner. The food is imaginative and well prepared, service is professional And there are often new dishes or variations on the menu. It is our go-to restaurant whenever we go to the nearby Angelica or public theater.
As always it was soooooo good! The Cacio e Pepe is everything
Service was elegant and excellent. The brisket sandwich is huge and the accompanying potatoes delicious. The Cacio e Pepe was no doubt the highlight of the meal - perfectly executed. I wanted to love the bibb salad with hazelnuts, but it was simply overdressed.
Had the panna cotta with red wine poached cherries, um - would come back for this again
and again, it was that good.
Over all, well done!
Food was dreadful...sloppy pizza and drenched greens...awful
First time here- used to love Five Points which this used to be. Fortunately they maintained the lovely and cozy atmosphere of 5 Points and it's still relatively "grown up" and comfortable. Food was very good, especially the pasta and appetizers. Main course pork was pretty fatty and gristly so was mostly not eaten. That was a waste of money but the rest of the meal was delicious and the service was warm, friendly, and attentive. Will go back!
we made a reservation for 2 but we had to wait 45 minutes in advance to sit on our table. If you won't be able to sit your table on the reservation time, what's the point of doing the reservation?
Always top notch
I came here with a friend for lunch on a weekday. The ambiance/decor was lovely, it was quiet (I assume because of the time we were there), the food was delicious, and our server was very professional and polite. I would definitely return!
The place was dope. Server was friendly, food was above average and reasonably priced. The ambience was perfect - great lighting.
The pizza was fantastic. The pasta was fantastic. The dessert was fantastic. The garlic bread would've been fantastic but the crust was too hard and tasted a little burnt, sadly. It would've been amazing otherwise.
We loved this place and plan to return often. Lovely interior, excellent service. The food was fresh, creatively prepared and delicious.
Great option for brunch on LES. They take reservations which make planning easier versus other similar spots. Great menu, yummy options for all.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!! Our waiter was phenomenal, he let me try 5 wines so that I could find the best one. The food was out of this world. Could not have picked a better place to celebrate my 30th birthday. Already planning our next trip back!
Loved this space as 5 points and love the reinvention as Vic’s its’ become a neighborhood staple for my family and we love introducing new folks to the warm atmosphere, excellent, inventive cocktails and the fabulous pesce friti, the fried onion appetizer, and the awesome pastas and the delicious chicken. Can’t go wrong with this restaurant.
Great service and fun ambiance!
Slowly becoming one of my favorite go to restaurants. Great location, unbelievable ambience, and reliably delicious food.
Hilary’s food is amazing!
Food is amazing. Love the open kitchen in the back. Definitely returning!!
The sunchokes, the carrots and the pastas (namely the cacio e pepe and the "little purses") were excellent. The burrata pizza was average, would not order again. We were seating right next to the kitchen in the back room which turned me off, but made a Friday night reservation only a day or so in advance, so couldn't complain. Overall, I would go back again with my husband or friends.
I've been to Vic's a few times and always enjoy the place. The food is always good and inventive enough without being too crazy. The sound level is acceptable in this day and age when most restaurants try to chase you out with loud music, and the wine list has enough choices by the glass to keep it interesting. Sadly this last time we had a server who must have been having a bad day and just seemed utterly incapable of mustering up any level of friendliness or even a smile. From our lunch order, the tomato pizza's crust was quite good but the tomate tasted like paste out of a can, the pastas however we're delicious as were the selection of starters we shared. I'll likely be back and if I have the same server again I will hope that she is in a better mood.
I absolutely loved this place. The food was incredible. Service was excellent. I will definitely be back for that borsa and burrata pizza. Drooool.
Great experience! Followed instructions for birthday perfectly and even added some things in. Highly recommend!
We love Vic’s! I had the porcetta, which was richly flavorful, tender, and delicious. My wife had a yummy bolognese with penne, and my dad had the olive oil poached cod. We loved everything. The cocktails are perfectly prepared and a generous pour. The only drawback is that it can get a bit noisy, but the service is impeccable!
my party of 8 enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food!
Food is really fancy and creative, but I'm not sure if we call it Italian. It's tasty, but if you look for Italian food, this place might not be. Staff is friendly and overall atmosphere is nice and energetic. Good for someone who wants to try "trending" place.
Brisket sandwich would have been perfect had not 1/2 the meat been fat. Brisket is a fatty cut, but this was extreme. Filled a small bowl with inedible fat. Shame, because the actual meat was delicious. Brunch partner’s fritatta was poorly executed — more of an oily omelette - and sausage was less than half cooked. The served thanked us for our “feedback”. The breakfast potatoes were delicious tho. ;-)
Pains me to give an average review at Vic’s, it is one of my all time faves in the city. But our server was pretty awful, inattentive and just absent, we had to flag down another server to take care of us through the night (she was lovely). Unfortunately one of our dishes was undercooked. Just not the best experience and a little embarrassing because we had out of town guests dining with us. The manager on site was wonderful at the end of our meal and apologetic. We will be back but it will be a while before we do.
