The opportunity to examine a Civil War era map and professional service are the primary features of this touristy spot. The soup and entrees were cold and disappointing. There are many better places in Savannah.

we had our reception here when we got married 3 years ago and returned to celebrate our third anniversary. we had a wonderful experience with Vic's when we got married and were not disappointed upon our return. the ambiance is beautiful with a wonderful view, and both the food and service are excellent. they have quite an extensive wine list and a good variety on their menu.

Went for Saturday night dinner while in Savannah for a long weekend. Requested window seating and that’s exactly what we got!! I had crab cakes which were the best I have ever eaten. It was served with Risotto which was very bland. Our dinner guest had the short ribs which were fantastic! All in all we had a lovely dinner and it is a great value for a downtown restaurant!

We have always been very pleased with our meals at this lovely restaurant. It is a popular place so people should expect to encounter a lively atmosphere with energetic service. My request for a window seat is honored whenever it can be accommodated and I very much appreciate that courtesy. The seafood stew is fabulous and the shrimp and grits are our favorite of any in any restaurant in Savannah.

We came here for my wife’s birthday. She’s wanted to try it for quite some time. The lunch was phenomenal. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. The flavor pairings in the food were perfect and seasoned just right. We got the beef carpaccio as an app. It was arguably the best in the southeast. They made my wife’s birthday memorable and we will be back for a dinner service.

Our reservation was honored promptly but the restaurant was CRAZY-BUSY!! and so there was lots of coming-and-going...we were seated near the front door thus VERY aware of all the chaos...AND...as a result our service was POOR...very POOR! The food was good as always. I prefer this restaurant for lunch...not dinner. Thanks

Great seafood in a historic building. Service was excellent and you will not leave hungry. She crab soup was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed a grouper special and my son had the pecan crusted flounder. It's pricey but worth it.

Very good place for dinner, interesting wine list and menu. Obviously Fried Green Tomatoes for starters, I had the she crab soup and it was awesome. The Mahi Mahi was very fresh and tender, mi wife ordered the roasted half chicken and for dessert the basket, it is a classic , I’ll leave you in suspense, just try it.

We visited Vic's for dinner during a long weekend. It did not disappoint. The service was warm & helpful (without hovering). The crawfish beignets were unexpected & did not disappoint. The oysters Rockefeller were classic & delicious. But, the star of the meal was the shrimp & grits. I have had this dish in many iterations but this one was far & away the best I have ever eaten. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not miss Vic's shrimp & grits!

This is our second visit to Vic's and we do enjoy the ambiance! We had a 6:00 reservation on a recent Friday evening. The atmosphere and the food were both very good, however the service on this visit was poor. While we were not in any hurry, we placed our orders for food around 6:15. At 7:30 our entre's had still not arrived. I located the manager on duty who apologized and by the time I returned to the table the food had just arrived. The manager offered us a desert on the house for our inconvenience, which we declined. We do like this restaurant and hope this poor service experience was a one time issue. We will certainly give Vic's another try.

The apps of beef carpaccio and crab cakes were great! We all had salads - the Crobb and a poached pear - which were also very good. Service, however, was awful...our server’s attitude from the moment we sat down was horrendous. She brought out the bread basket at the end of the meal, literally rolled her eyes as she was walking away a couple of times and in general was unpleasant. One of our $14 cocktails was made incorrectly and you could not take more than a sip. Instead of even trying to assist she charged us and basically said “too bad”. We have NEVER heard of that - if it’s a restaurant’s fault that a drink was made incorrectly why ever would you be charged??? I’d skip this place...plenty of great places in Savannah to go where servers actually want to do their job and be pleasant while doing so.

Everything was delicious! The scallops were huge and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the apple, fig & walnut turnover for dessert. WOW! I'm not sure what coffee they brew but even a cup of coffee tasted 1000 times better. Must visit location while in Savannah.

Nice restaurant located on Bay St...food was excellent...crab cakes were to die for, nice pieces of crab in a delightful mustard sauce....some of the best I've ever had. Seating for two is small and intimate. We had reservations but had difficulty finding parking. The restaurant has valet parking, but we couldn't find it after dark, so we drove around the block several times before finding a space and then had to walk quite a distance. We were late but were seated quickly and the rest of the evening was very nice.

Warm, inviting riverfront dining. Can't beat the prime location on the vibrant Riverwalk. Romantic, upscale atmosphere and delicious food — the shrimp appetizer was unbelievable, as was the pecan encrusted flounder and filet mignon. Beautiful view of the Savannah River and Georgia Dream riverboat. For a speciality after-dinner drink, I recommend the Chocolate Martini!

Vics on the River is our new favorite spot in Savannah! It's beautiful on the inside with a wonderful staff. We had no trouble setting up a reservation, and our waterfront view while dining was the best! Everything we tried tasted delicious-the salad with blue cheese was a favorite, the brasied beef short ribs were fantastic, and the shrimp & grits were some of the best ever!
