"The tiramisu is to die for," he said. "So many people come in and say it's the best tiramisu they've ever had." Five of us got together for a birthday celebrationon a week night. We made our reservations on Open Table for 7:00 pm but when we walked in, I got the feeling it was a bit of a surprise to the staff. We had to wait for them to put tables together and set up to accommodate us as though we were walk-ins. We waited an inordinate amount of time for our food to come to the table after we ordered (about an hour). At least bring the salads out guys to hold us over and let us think the food is somewhere in sight. We were so famished we went through 2 baskets of bread. Now, in Vicolo's defense, it was a Thursday evening which is a buy one entree, get one free. So it was quite busy. However, this generous deal has been offered Mon-Thurs for years, so I would think they'd have their timing down pat on a busy night, whether its BOGO or not. I would imagine it was as busy as a Saturday night. Anyway, despite the tortuous wait time, the food was fabulous. I ordered the Branzino special which was absolutely delicious. One of us ordered the ravioli and raved how good it was. So I"m torn - great food vs. terrible service. We had to call the server and eventually the owner, when the server was unavailable to move the dinner process along. Can we order dessert now? Can we have the delicious flavored grappa that is offered complimentary? Can we have the check? I got the impression when Benny, the owner saw our frustration, he realized I had put a note on the Open Table notes that we were celebrating a birthday, so he brought over a sample assortment of desserts with a candle. Good save, Benny! The desserts were delicious. It would have been nice if coffee was offered at that time. I will definitely give Vicolo another chance but improving the service would have made the evening perfect.

This was our first visit to this small yet wonderful restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious no matter what was chosen. AND FURTHERMORE we had a fun filled night singing along with Friday Night entertainer Neil. The wine list is extensive; and they even have their own bottled Vicolo wines which were surprisingly good. We loved the home made desserts and after dinner drinks too. I highly recommend this place to all. Like mom always said: "Always look in your own back yard". Yummy. I already made my next reservation for 6 of us. Enjoy!

Food was good.
Waiter never came back to see if everything was ok.
He only took our order, then disappeared.
Two other people brought our appetizers and main course. Neither came back either to check on us.
Meals were good, but felt they were overpriced.
Would not go back.

Food portion was very generous. Didn't expect much but the taste was pretty good. The clam linguine was a little salty for us but our lobster tail with lamb was excellent.

Always a satisfying stop. Had not been there for dinner in a while. This visit was encouraged by a Groupon coupon. Service excellent without hovering. Food excellent especially specials. Portions more than adequate. One suggestion: when taking leftovers, have the bus staff remove the plates from the table instead of unceremoniously sliding them off the plate at the table into tin foil containers.

Dined here with friends for the first time. Seated us promptly. Shared a stuffed clams appetizer which was very tasty. Our entrees ranged from swordfish, chicken, steak and pasta. Everyone was pleased with their selections. The food was fresh and presented well, accompanied by a house salad. We shared a tartufo, cannoli, and tiramisu for dessert. The owner gave us complimentary after dinner drinks. A nice way to end our dinner.
