The food has greatly improved under new ownership, management and especially Chef Antonio. He makes the best Branzino in Delray. Service , Derrick, was also so excellent.
We Had a delightful dinner with friends outside on the ATLANTIC Avenue side. Food and service were excellent.
My wife and I have eaten at Vic & Angelo many times over the past 7 years. We ate there two nights ago and we will not go again. Apparently the Delray location was sold last month. Many things have been changed for the worse. My wife used to enjoy the cheese ravioli. It was traditional Italian style with a delicious red sauce. Now, it is filled with spinach and covered in some strange green sauce which our waiter said was asparagus. My wife couldn't eat it. I always liked the veal parmigiana with the side of roasted vegetables. Well, the veal was half the size it used to be and the roasted vegetables were discontinued. My wife used the ladies room and it was a mess. Obviously no one was cleaning it during the dinner hours. The outside dining area is now jammed with twice as many tables as it was before. We were elbow to elbow with customers on both sides. We will check this restaurant off our list.
There are new owners of Vic and Angelos and they have made some changes to the menu. I’m not sure if this was a positive move.
V&A has been a favorite of my family’s since they opened but our last meal there had us questioning if it will be our favorite going forward.
Food was decent but they did mess up on my daughters penne with chicken. They actually shredded the chicken. The waiter was awesome and had them remake the meal and it was better.
Our experience was not bad but it does seem different and not sure this is a good thing.
I hope they are successful as we have eaten there well over 30 times over the past few years.
We had an outside table. Food is aways great, salads are wonderful. Fun to people watch
Never disappointed. Always leave full.
Vic & Angelo changed the menu & We came for their baked clams & they are no longer on the menu & their chopped salad which is also no longer on the menu. My veal Parmesan & the sauce was delicious, but the tomato sauce on the rigatoni on the same plate tasted different then on the veal & not quite as good. I wish there were more choices for dinner like the old menu. Yummy garlic bread. overall it was a very nice meal . Great atmosphere & view of the Avenue if you sit outside .
Great restaurant, excellent service and fantastic food. Customer service was suberb. Will definitely return.
Really enjoyed Vic and Angelos. Food was good, service good. Location, people watching excellent. There is something on the menu for everyone.
Enjoyed food, priced right both food and drinks - only drawback VERY loud
We had an extremely rude waitor. Who announced to whole restaurant we werent giving him a good enough tip. Extremely rude but the food is good.
First time. I was very disappointed. I ordered Caesar salad. It was fair. My entree was salmon. I asked for it cooked medium well. Not raw. When I got it, it was raw inside. I sent it back. When the fish was brought back to me. It was still not cooked as I asked. The spinach on the plate was half the portion it was before and the potatoes were ICE COLD. I am not sure what they did in the kitchen. Really bad!!!!
Our friends were not happy with their meals either. THEN we ordered coffees and cappuccino. The waiter came back and said they didn’t have any coffee to fill our orders. He said there is a new owner and they are having problems with their purveyors?????? We couldn’t believe a restaurant like this wouldn’t have COFFEE!! WE WON’T BE BACK!!!!!!
I don’t know whether, as others have reported, ownership of the restaurant recently changed. But what I do know is that my experience there tonight was not as rewarding as my past meals there. On the positive side of the ledger, we were seated promptly upon arrival, in accordance with our reservation, at a curbside table; our server was friendly and came by after the meal was delivered (which also was promptly) to ask if everything was ok, and the food itself was tasty though hardly anything memorable. We did, however, have to ask our server a second time, when nothing happened for 15 minutes after our first request, to bring us lemons for our water — not a huge deal. Far more of a concern was the value of our entrees. I ordered the diver scallops special, and was very disappointed when they were served to see my plate had only three small scallops on the bed of risotto. My wife’s order of shrimp penne alla vodka was disappointing for the same reason — only three or four small shrimp on the plate. In sum, a good meal but far from anything special. They used to do better.
Had a great time! Waitress was sweet and funny! Service was quick! Drinks were definitely bottomless, never empty!!
Excellent food. Excellent wait staff. We had a super fun night!
They were unable. Period.
The hostess situation there was a joke. She couldn’t find my open table reservation, called over another fellow millennial dear in headlights hostess, finally two brains combined as one and they got it figured out(or said to heck with it just stick them somewhere).
It was a rainy night with lots of available covered tables out on the street so my date asked if we could sit at one.
One girl said sure, the other proceeded to take us to a table that wasn’t where we asked, and was the one table that was having an awning issue and was soaked. Even a server came over intervening and said you can’t seat them there it’s getting wet. So the girl says wait here(where we’re getting wet) and she’ll see if she has anything available. Comes back, takes us to another patio table that’s a two top with one seat under the awning and the other in the rain. Looks at us, sets the menus down and looks at us again. Seriously??? So we decided the outside idea isn’t working out can you please put us anywhere that’s not going to get us rained on? “We don’t have anything else” ...really? It’s 6:30 and half the restaurant is empty and we have a reservation!!
She again schleps us up to the host stand and the two of them get back to trying out figure out where to sit us, while I’m staring at a dozen empty, clean tables. Then she points to a table that’s dirty and asks us to wait while it gets cleared and reset. We gave up. It was embarrassing, but it worked out, we ended up at SALT where they got us right in like pros and the food and service were on point.
I get that it’s a puzzle to organize reservations and tables and varying times, but as guests it’s not our problem. We did our job by choosing you, making the reservation and showing up on time. Just get us to an open table and sort it out after.
Food is consistently good...attentive service. Early evening deals are great!
This used to be my favorite restaurant! My husband and I used to dine here at least twice a month and whenever we have family in town this was our go to spot since they were famous for the table side mozzarella!! but we went there this past weekend with some friends that were in town from NY and it is under new ownership they took the table side mozzarella off of the menu, the food was tasteless, everything was disappointing. Unfortunately we will never go back.
We had reservations but the restaurant was super busy. We were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside - answered inside and immediately told - no tables available inside. Confusing? We were given a table outside which was loud, next to train tracks, and located by the wait area. We did not have one waitress and instead multiple ones - it appears that they need more wait staff. In addition - we were by the bar area where people were smoking. Food was very good, waitresses were nice, but too hectic environment for us.
Management and staff are friendly and fun!
Great happy hour, great ambiance, lots of great entrees to choose from! Definitely recommend
This was a great first experience and we'll definitely be back. The food was excellent and so was the service from Ben!
Celebrating my father in laws birthday. I thought the waitress was a little stand off-ish
Great portions...make sure to leave room for dessert. They have all the italian classics but our favorite sweet treat is actually the banana cream pie.
Overall the food was good, not great. The Veal was good but did not care for the risotto. The squid ink pasta special was again good, not great. Pizza looked delicious! The garlic bread they served was good. The dirty martini is FABULOUS!!
The service was a little lacking and the waiters were a bit unprofessional discussing the cash tip that I left and looking my way while I waited for my ride. I assume that they didn’t the 18% was enough? I always tip based on service and experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t warrant 20%.
It was my husbands 60th birthday. It would have been nice if his dessert had been on the house. We had a good dinner and good service.
V&A's is always great for brunch, and the bottomless drinks are just the start. Great for people watching and train watching.
I'm from LA and come to Delray 5-6 times a year. I went this past weekend as per usual to get the famous table side mozzarella. Was catching up with a friend and didn't pay much attention to the fact that it is now buratta and mozzarella, we ordered and continued chatting. When the underwhelming buratta and mozzarella came out you can imagine our faces, wait where is the table side mozzarella!? We were told the restaurant is now under new ownership and they decided to get rid of this item, the hook of the entire restaurant. Bizarre. My friend a local and myself said that's the only reason we would come to Vic & Angelo's. Disappointed, will not return, unless they re instate the table side mozzarella.
Great food and our server Joe was great! treated us like family! We will be coming back soon!!
Ossa Bucco special was great!!
My niece loved the cotton candy firework birthday surprise!
Been going there for years, but the food used to be better. Great garlic toast! Waiter was friendly and great service, he said we should of told him and he would have replaced the pizza and heated the lasagna.
Limited menu, weak food., noisy. Wouldn’t go back.
Everything was very good. We did order 2 pizzas ( way too much) and split a Caesar with shrimp, for 4 people. Pizza was plopped down on side table and we were left to serve ourselves. Bottom line I will return
Waitress took A half hour to bring drinks and then when she did they were the wrong drinks. Food tasted like a TV dinner.
New owners. New menu. It’s like they want to lose money. Why would you take away or change your most popular items? Doesn’t make sense. Used to live chicken milanese and pear cheese tortellini.
I guess some people just want to watch the world burn
Wow, what an incredible date night! My girlfriend and I got an awesome table outside on the Ave last Saturday Night. It was great for people watching and the weather was perfect. Our server Megan was wonderful. We started with creamy Burrata and fresh tomatoes it was Delicious. Then the fried calamari which was cooked perfectly (this is not easy to do). We shared the “Sunday Gravy” over fresh fettuccine. What a true Italian treat! Finished the evening off with two espressos. Such an awesome evening, we will definitely be back soon.
Went for lunch on a Saturday. They have some lunch specials which are excellent value.Excellent service. We sat inside however many people were enjoying the nice weather sitting in front.Very good portion saved some for later.Exceptional restaurant
