Fabulous experience! Everything was perfect (except possibly the music mix; some fitting--lounge and French influenced), but some atmosphere-killing (top 40, trendy loud).

LOVE this place. From the red sexy french vibe to the food and service, everything is top notch. Our server was very attentive - the perfect amount of attentive. Food was excellent - we started with the fried lobster tail. Then split a ceasar salad (they do it tableside which makes it cooler). My husband had the ribeye (not the bone-in) and it was seasoned perfectly. I had the duck and it was very good (a bit salty but not bad). The duck fat fried potatoes they serve with it though should be a menu item! Then it we ordered the bananas foster, which is also served tableside. Its my husband's favorite dessert and he loved it here. It was our anniversary and they comped the dessert - we had no idea until we got the bill. Which was a wonderful surprise.

Sorry the food was not very good. I ordered a $54 steak medium well and it came out rare. The outside was cooked but the entire inside all red. I could hardly cut it. I complained and they told me that was their medium well? I sent it back and had them cook it some more. They need to be on board with everyone else on what medium well means. It also had a very weird taste. NOTHING like an aged steak should taste. Dessert was awesome. Service was good. $250.00 dollars! I could have eaten at Longhorns 4 times and been much happier.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great atmosphere and even better food. If you're just in the mood to have a drink and a bite to eat alone the bartenders are very friendly and mix great drinks. Definitely a place you should try.

For our 10 year anniversary we wanted to try a different upscale restaurant. I read about the different steakhouses in and around our area and Viande Rouge scored very well. So excited- our 10 year anniversary would be spent at a new restaurant that would be attentive to us as we dined and celebrated.
Epic fail is what both my husband and I said to each other. While making our reservation, both online via Opentable and calling in on the day of our reservation, we wanted to ensure the staff knew we would be celebrating a special occassion. We were seated at a booth/table that said ‘Happy Birthday!’ Promptly the host removed it when we said we weren’t celebrating a birthday but was actually our “10 year anniversary”- hint, hint. We thought, oh-they know it’s our anniversary and erred.
Overall, service was fair; presentation was fair; food was good. Waiter asked if we wanted dessert but didn’t have the menu with him. I replied no, husband said we have to, it’s our “anniversary”, of course, again, clearly so the waiter would hear. Dessert came- no recognition it was our anniversary.
We paid. We left. Uneventful, discouraged and underwhelmed Unfortunately, we will not return to Viande Rouge. We will, however, continue to support the fine, we’ll serviced steakhouses in the area we traditionally visit.

Third time here, and it's always been a pleasant experience. Servers know how to serve without being intrusive. Noise levels are low enough that you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice. Food isn't amazing, but it's very good. Although Viande Rouge isn't cheap by any means, I always walk out the door feeling I got value for my money and saying I'm glad I was there.

It is great experience dine in this restaurant first time. The food was delicious. Steaks are cooked perfect. There was a group of people who made loud noise once a while. Other than that, it is a gem in the neighborhood. We will be back soon.

One of the best dining experiences we have had in awhile. Everything was above expectations and the meal was amazing. A little expensive, but the entire experience reflected the price If we lived in the area we would definitely be back, but we were here for the evacuation of Hurricane Flo.

Once again, another outstanding meal. Service was outstanding as was the food! We had pre-ordered a special, "Cow-Girl" (yes, cowGIRL) Ribeye - not to be missed. So much better than imagined. A leaner, thicker cut with outstanding flavor and is quite rare. If you have the opportunity either to pre-order or it happens to be on the special menu that night - DON'T miss it!

Appetizers and desserts were exceptional as well. The only slight disappointment is that their wine list has changed and become a bit more limited than on previous visits.

Will be back again as this has become one of our favorite "local" steakhouses without having to drive into Atlanta for higher prices and lesser quality!

We celebrated our 21st anniverary at Viande Rouge and it was a wonderful experience. We started with a half dozen oysters on the half shell and were given a few extra for free. Very fresh and tasty. My husband had the Duck Confit & I had the Steak Diane, which was cooked tableside. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We also added a side of cauliflower mash that I would order again and again!
Dessert was Bananas Foster, which was rich and delicious. The restaurant gave the dessert to us, as a gift for our anniversary. It was a great surprise!
Overall the service was impeccable, the ambiance was quiet, but not too quiet, the food was perfect and we enjoyed a fabulous evening out. We will be back!

Food and atmosphere is pleasant we have been before. We invited friends who went the extra mile to splurge for my husbands birthday. They were told you could bring wine so they did - waiter failed to say there was a $25 cork fee. Manager made it right we paid but gave a$25 gift card. Still when you ask someone to go out and eat for a birthday dinner that’s $ you hate for something like that to happen and $25 gift card probably will not get used.

Second visit. Very nice consistent. Excellent service and presentation. Went for a birthday. Nice touch of a signed birthday card from the staff on the table. Comped the birthday dessert. Place ain’t cheap but creates a nice memory for a special occasion.

Awesome French-inspired cuisine, excellent service, lovely decor. Our only negative: the annoying 70s/80s music soundtrack was absolutely out of sync with the general vibe of elegance.
Please play instrumental music as background!! This is not the place for old pop tunes.

Birthday dinner. Took in-laws out to dinner at Viande Rouge. They loved it. Much better than driving down to Buckhead or further for other restaurants. Close to home, great service and an overall outstanding meal. One of our favorite spots.

Modern steakhouse with a few continental touches and tableside preparations (Dover Sole, Steak Diane) Food quality was outstanding. However, Steak topping @$10 and above are not a good value. Steaks don't seem to be prime as their menu price would indicate.

What a fantastic find?!! We ordered the grouper oscar as an entree and crab beignets with napa salad for appetizers. Both were amazing and a delicious. Fresh, light, and refreshing food and the service to match. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet and perfect for the romantic ambience I wanted for the evening. Five stars all the way!!!

Always a good experience!! We went for our anniversary and they brought dessert out on them! It was amazing food and great service all around. This is our go to spot for special occasions because of the quality and service. We will definitely be back. The Swiss fondue is a MUST try.

Simply Amazing!

Tried this restaurant for the first time on our anniversary. Couldn't have asked for a better night. A card on the table wishing us a happy anniversary and signed by all the staff was a great touch! Both food and service were phenomenal. We started with the lobster bisque and spinach and mushroom salad. Both were excellent. I had Steak Diane and my better half had the Beef Bourguignon both of which were amazing. Too full for dessert even though it was a special day and the dessert menu looked killer. I know we will be back. Sorry it took us so long to discover!

We love Viande Rouge. We feel if it's not the best Atlanta has to offer, it is very close. We went for an early Father's Day, the staff is always gracious and they have great knowledge of the menu. I have tried just about everything on the menu and it is all excellent. Maybe not the French Onion Soup. From Steaks, to Fried Lobster Tails, to the Dover Sole................. New on the sides is the gnocchi and it is sinful. Jim

Our favorite place celebrating special occasions. This place is better than anything in Buckhead or inside the Perimeter. Great menu and servers are very knowledgeable. Spinach salad is great and steaks are tender, juicy, and flavorful.

Chef Steven was very gracious and spent time talking to myself and other guests about our plates. I absolutely loved the froi gras and escargot plates. It is difficult to find both items at establishments in Georgia so I appreciated having the option to order it here.

The sauce for the foie gras had an infuse of maple syrup which was incredibly delicious! I would highly recommend sitting at the bar to enjoy a drink or two. The bartender was courteous, knowledgeable and made an excellent old fashioned!

I think this is a great establishment for professionals or a couple going out for the night.

After doing a search on open table - the great reviews caught my eye for this restaurant. I'm usually skeptical of some reviews because there are a lot of fake ones out there... but some of the comments seemed to be pretty legit - so we decided to try it out. It was my wife's 42nd Birthday, and when I signed up on Open Table, I had put that in the notes. Originally we had reservations for earlier in the day - but had to change it to 8:15pm on Saturday night. When we arrived, it wasn't crowded and we were greeted and seated right away. The waiter that waited on us was absolutely excellent. He really helped us feel right at home - offered his opinions and recommendations and did an excellent job of complimenting the chef and everybody who went with it. My wife had the duck and I had the Veil chops - AMAZING! We also had crab cakes to start, and to end had a couple of deserts... again - it was amazing food - and yes it is a fancy restaurant and you should expect the price of dinner to be 100 dollars or better... but the portion of food we received really showed it was worth it... Did I mention that they even had a birthday card for my wife with everybody's signature? again... I could not have been happier at a restaurant... Thank You!
