We made a reservation for a birthday celebration. We both had the house salad. The salad was good and the dressing very tasty, but too much dressing made the salad a bid soggy. I had the ravioli special (crab and scallop) which was delicious. The cream sauce was amazing. I had to bring some of it home as I could not finish it and it lasted me for two more lunches. My husband had the veal scaloppine and they were very good too. The wine choices are good. The atmosphere very nice, except this night there were some very loud women at the bar. I was disappointment that the occasion (birthday) was not acknowledged as many restaurants now would offer a small dessert to the birthday guest.
This was our second visit to the restaurant. We ordered items from the Via Vino menu and from the Sugo's menu. A little bit refined and a little bit rustic. Went with three other couples and enjoyed ourselves. I like the vibe of the restaurant in that it's classy, but not stuffy, and doesn't feel like you are sitting down to a formal meal.
Our waitress Hanna was Amazing a asset to the restaurant. She was attentive informative and professional. The food was an experience that reminded me of our trip to Tuscany, fresh original and full of flavor.

Restaurant opens at 5 and we arrived a little before that. It was our first visit and we weren't sure where the entrance was as it seemed to be part of a frontage that blended in with another restaurant, "Sugo". As it turns out, they share the kitchen.
Our server, Wade, was excellent, informative and attentive without being obsequious. We inquired about the other restaurant and he told us about the kitchen situation and brought us the menu from Sugo which we were able to order from in addition to theirs.
We were a party of three. One ordered the Ariabatta from the Sugo menu. From their menu, one ordered the chicken Scaloppine and the other one of the specials, the fish which was oven roasted Corvina. The first two were very good with the Corvina being outstanding.
Overall a very pleasant experience with a return visit certain.
Our sevice was excellent Called ahead to request an outside table because of great weather
They were accommodating and we had a very nice atmosphere with good service
The food was very good and once the music for Sugo's died down it was a pleasant experience
Would recommend that for outdoor dining the music does not need to reach Vio Vino

Really enjoyed our dinner. Was our first time and will definitely be back. We had the lobster risotto and shrimp risotto. Easy dish to screw up, difficult to make it perfect. They nailed it. Was incredibly delicious. Service was terrific. Allowed us to finish each course before bringing out the next. Which you think would be a simple concept but many places don't follow. All in all was a great dining experience.
Initially a little off-putting, as you enter the restaurant by walking through the sister restaurant next door. We had to hunt down the hostess when we arrived, and she seemed put-out that we were there... very strange. Once seated, service was ok but fortunately the food was excellent so it ended up bring a reasonably pleasant experience.
We have eaten here multiple times and have always had a decent to good experience however this was not one of those times. The service was phenomenal from the server we had. He was truly exceptional. However that's where exceptional ended as the bread came out burnt that they brought at the beginning of the meal. The appetizers that we had which for the artichoke and the cheese plate were both good. Our entrées didn't all come out at once and the two chicken entrées were very tough as though they were either overcooked or just sat under the heat lamp too long after being cooked. You actually needed a steak knife to cut chicken medallions with. Then to end our meal the sister restaurant next-door that's connected via an open doorway abruptly closed and the lights were turned off as if to give us a hint to leave at 10 PM at night from dinner.
As always wonderful Italian food, done right. Problem on 11/26/16 was the service. Only two servers in full restaurant that we could tell and they were way overworked. Never got around to asking if we wanted ground pepper on salads until we had given up and used the table pepper shaker. My dinner was served with the three other entrees but was not what was ordered. Server apologized, admitted she was wrong and said the correct entrée would be out soon. I watched the three others eat and then ate after they were finished. We had extra glass of wine for "dessert", which also took forever. When check came no comp glass of wine or anything. When I said something she said, "Oh we will comp your dinner that was wrong". My thought was this should have happened automatically without us saying something. Again, great food as always but really bad service that night.
Sadly, not a good experience at this restaurant. We were seated for 30 minutes without a server coming by our table. We flagged down the hostess and asked for our server. Still nothing. A person in our party got up to find a server and couldn't find one in the whole restaurant. By chance a server from the sister restaurant next door was walking through and she asked if we needed help. Fortunately she was lovely and helped us even though we weren't her table. Unfortunately the food wasn't even good enough to make this situation better.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was short-staffed Saturday night, so our service was not up to the usual standard at Via Vino. However, our server did all she could to make our dinning as good as possible from her end, and that helped. We'll go back, as we like the food and atmosphere. Hopefully, we'll have a better experience.
Have been there at least 25 times, but the last few times the service and food have significantly degraded. The last three times appetizers have been forgotten (or brought after the entrees), and the service hasn't been good. Also, some of the recipes seems to have changed and not for the better. Came back this time after taking some time off to see if things improved, but sadly no.
Very loud place - this is a bar that happens to have some tables. Menu in the restaurant was different than the menu online, which is always disappointing. The entrees (a pork special and a chicken piccata) were very good, but the salad was overdressed. I would consider going back to the Sugo's restaurant next door given that the entrees were good, but would pass on Via Vino Enoteca.
While the food was good, virtually nothing else was. We had to go through Sugo's to get to Via Vino. There was no hostess stand or anywhere to stand while waiting to be seated. A blond woman talking to a table asked me what I needed - when I told her I had a dinner reservation, she told me she'd get back to me - and went back to talking to the table. There was a large party coming in so only the banquets across from the bar and the tables along the front windows were available. We sat at a table that had absolutely no lighting over it. The same blond woman waited on us and clearly had too much to do and was always in a hurry. More than once she interrupted conversation with us to talk to another party. And she never introduced herself. When we only ordered a coffee after dinner and no dessert, she deserted us - we never saw her again. We had to chase down one person to get our check and another to pay the check. The food was good but I expect better ambiance and not to sit virtually in the bar when I'm spending $30+ for a plate of pasta and wine. I was disappointed because we took my friend there for her birthday dinner and it wasn't impressive. And - might sound like a small point - but what's the deal with not carrying tea? And no, coffee and tea are not interchangeable.
This was my third time visiting for dinner and the service was TERRIBLE all three times. They make you go in through the restaurant they also own next door. Then the hostess tells you to walk through the dining area to get to the Vis Vino. Once you are there you stand around forever because they have no hostess so you have to go next door again to practically beg to be seated. Reservations don't mean anything either. I have had them all three times and the tables are never ready. Once we had to wait a half hour for an empty table. We ended up having the hostess from the other restaurants seat is, the bartender from Via take our order and the bus boy bring us our food one time. I am giving up on this place!!
