Via Verdi also offers an outdoor patio that is open year round. The green garden space is set up for a lovely weekend brunch or to accommodate a large group for dinner. It is the perfect place to eat al fresco.

Via Verdi Cucina Italiana Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant is good, but needs to be cleaned up a bit. The wine room had a mildew smell that forced us to choose outside dining. The occasional motorcycle or noisy car was a distraction. The service was good. The high point is their appetizer option; 5 picks for $23! It was excellent...especially the Octopus!
I really want to like this plave. It's a cute concept with the setting what should be romantic but the street noise just killed it.
The foods are good but not exceptional. It's within Italian gourmet restaurant standard. The pastas cooked perfectly al dente with the right flavour of sauces.
overall the dining experience at Via Verde is always great! Their food is really terrific, and so is their service. This is not a large place, so they have cozy tables and a nice ambience. I had the branzino and it was really terrific. Their wine list is good and affordable. This place is very good!
A casual spot and a wonderful find. The AUTHENTIC Italian food is deliciously prepared and the service is very genuine and friendly. We chose to order dishes that were basic Italian dishes but they were prepared with just a the right touch of original flair that made our casual lunch really stand out from typical Italian fare. We were very impressed and we look forward to returning to this little gem!
Very much enjoyed this restaurant. Appetizers were excellent. Had the fried meatballs, and polenta. Also veal with tuna sauce excellent but not a very generous amount of veal. Pasta al dente like it should be. Had the carbonara which was very good. Pumpkin cheesecake just so so. Whipped cream on cheesecake fresh and very good.
Always was curious about the place driving by every day. Food was very good across the menu from start to finish, home made pasta incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. Really liked the place; need to check whether a/c deficiency was a snafu of that day or a structural problem before going back in the summer heat.
If you're looking for a true Italian cuisine give this place a try. I have visited twice and both times the food was excellent. Servers are friendly, managers make sure that everything goes well, and the food speaks for itself. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
I first came here a year ago with my wife and it was delicious, we ordered the risottos and the 5 for $23 appetizers. It was phenomenal, and more than enough for the value. I recently visited Via Verdi for the second time for my birthday dinner with family and it was a hit. Everyone loved the food, the environment, the first class service and the prices. I strongly recommend for anyone who A. Loves Food and B. Loves Authentic Italian Food (just about everybody).
We make a point to come here when we are in town for the South Beach Wine & Food Fest. It is a bit off the beaten path but worth the short drive. Fabrizio is the consummate chef/owner/host. The menu is mainly pasta but anything you order will not disappoint! The 5 for $25 tapas is a perfect way to start. Try one of their handcrafted cocktails or a bottle from their reasonable wine list. The prices can't be beat. Make sure you finish with at least one of the delicious desserts.
Went here for Valentine's day and the menu was outstanding. The service was a bit slow but that was because they were pretty busy, but it was very much worth the wait. They have many wines to choose from and an abundance of authentic Italian dishes that are amazing. I highly recommend Via Verdi for a real Italian meal!
From the outside--this restaurant can easily be missed. It's an old house that has been modified with a hedge on the perimeter of this corner location hoping to mute the noise level of the very busy Biscayne Blvd. There is live music by the bar and smoking is allowed there as well...A few steps to the left there are the open air tables nicely dressed table cloth and also an indoor AC dining area. This restaurant location is relatively new for Via Verdi Cucina---they have been there for only 3 years--with this in mind and judging by the energetic crowd it commands at the bar with live music and sings along a good portion of the night it gets my applause. The food is so-so, there are plenty of tapas like plates and numerous choices of pasta--the main course is limited to fish, pork chop or chicken (only about 3 items). I was quite impressed by an MIM-o salad with super greens and a delicious dressing. The wine list is ample although not outstanding and the prices are very reasonable---there is also a full bar menu. Parking is ample--they have two adjacent parking lots (on 69th St) and across the street, there is Chase bank with a paved parking lot and by agreement with the restaurant- it's OK to park at the bank after 5 PM. My server Rafael originally from Venezuela knew well what he is doing-- he was beyond attentive and very interested in having his customers leave with a great dining experience---the bottle of wine I initially requested was not available and he brought a similar substitute with the bottle on hand for my expected review and acceptance of the same with a price match to the first request. I would return to Via Verdi Cucina Rustica with the intent to have a seat at the bar and listen to the energetic music and crowd.
I am sorry to say that the restaurant is declining in every aspect. It used to be a very good authentic Italian that now is becoming a tourist hangout with sub-par food. The owners seem very respectful and professional but in my humble opinion, as chefs, they should attend the kitchen and not the front of the restaurant. Also, the service was slow and inefficient (got a waiter that seemed to be faking an Italian accent). By the way, if you are offering a courtesy "limoncelo" to some customers at the end of the meal, it is disrespectful not to offer it to everybody else in the room.
The overall feel of the location is just the right amount of cozy romantic, however the service was sub par. i dont know if this is because the tip is already included however our server seems annoyed by our presence. missing utensil, napkins and each time we would ask something he seem to roll his eyes.
Food was good service ruined the experience for us.
We've eaten here before a couple of times. The service has never been the best, but this week it was absolutely horrible. We likely won't go back.
After being seated, it took at least 20 minutes to get service from a waiter. All of the tables surrounding us were already complaining about their meals. Most of them smoking in a restaurant too (which is illegal) - the restaurant was providing ash trays instead of trying to stop them. Disgusting! Did I mention it is illegal in Florida? Yes, even for outdoor seating.
Once we ordered it took another 10-15 minutes for salads. Our table was cleared and we waited another 30 minutes before asking for the manager to check on our entrees. Not only had we not had a single visit to our table for those 30 minutes, but after asking the manager he informs us our entrees were never ordered - had we not asked we would have been left sitting all night.
The manager did rush our orders and was apologetic, and did comp our salads. We informed him that some of our party had early flight and we were now in a hurry after waiting more than an hour. He said he would have our orders out very fast and he did. We thought things would get better from there.
Food arrived and 3/4 of the table was complaining about portion sizes and seemed left hungry. I felt bad because my portion was significantly larger. Aside from portions, the food was actually really good, as expected.
Waited another 15 minutes to get attention to get the check, finally got it from the manager again. Our waiter showed up with the check and apologized w/ excuses, then disappeared for yet another 15 minutes while we're holding up the bill and card to pay. I had to walk the check inside toward the kitchen to get someone to take it, and it still took another 5-10 minutes for them to bring it back for a signature.
Honestly shocked because we had been waiting months to bring family to Via Verdi after loving it ourselves and everyone left upset and disappointed.
The service by our waiter/bartender, Dimitri, was wonderful. We went on a Saturday for brunch, not knowing that they only serve brunch on Sundays. Despite that, Dimitri let us order from the brunch menu anyways. The mimosa selection was fabulous - bottomless for $20. The food wasn't great, but the kitchen did have trouble prepping for our meal since it was unexpected. I would still recommend. I can't wait to try again for dinner - the atmosphere is cute & quaint.
Can't wait to go back! Luca was wonderful. I have been to many Italian restaurants in my life but when you are here you feel like you are in Italy. The pear martini was perfect and everything we ate from the shared appetizer plates to the fresh pasta, Bronzino and dessert was delicious. I highly recommend Via Verdi Cucina Rustica!
I stumbled on to this restaurant completely by accident once, and 2 days later brought my best friend so I could experience it again. She loved it, too!
I brought my mom for Mother's Day brunch. I took my boyfriend on our second date, and once again just for no reason, then the other day for Valentine's day.
My boyfriend loves the veal meatball appetizer. I. Love. Everything. I've gotten the vongole on more than one occasion but I've tried pretty much everything at this point.
I'm not a fan of mushrooms but their "tagliolini alba" is insanely good.
They have perfect appetizers that come in perfect portions.
They are creative with their drinks, and the way my boyfriend puts it is that this restaurant is a bang for your buck.
For a great meal and ambiance (plus the service is always on point), without spending the week's paycheck, this is the place.
I swore I would leave a bad review so that no one else would meander over to this place (I've never had to wait for a table, even on Valentine's day) but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Absolutely my favorite restaurant, hands down.
