First time visitor, a 1st date with someone I wanted to impress and this is a nice spot for that. The inside looked beautiful, but my date wanted to eat outside so outside we ate. The "patio" here was simply the sidewalk with a few tables so there was some street traffic, but this was a Sunday night in the quietest part of Santa Monica so that worked. It was cool out and there were no heaters and I don't get cold but I got a little cold. The food was very good, the service was very good, but I got "sticker shock" at the bill: Two salads, two entrees, one glass of wine, one dessert, with tip $237. Bottom line is if you don't care about money you will love this place. If you do care about money, go there when someone else is paying!

We were greeted at the entrance by the proprieter, who remembered our previous visit, by name and shown to the booth of our choice. We were delighted with the Ravioli special and ordered the chef's last-remaining half bottle of 2014 Brunello di Montalcino. We especially loved the new polished bronze table lights creating a delightful ambiance. The Fiori di zucca, vegetable soup, mushroom risotto, veal scallopini, and pana cotta crowned our Sunday evening meal - Mangiamo!

Love this restaurant. Lively without being loud. Great service and delicious food. Pricey but the pleasure of a meal there is worth it.

WHAT A FIND! Had such an incredible dinner celebrating my fiance's birthday last night. The staff, the ambiance and food selection was just perfect. Via Veneto is a GEM and is now my favorite Italian resy in LA. 100% recommend to any and all.

I had not been here in 10 plus years. I remember liking the lighting, atmosphere and food. This recent trip, the food is still good, but the serving of the food is very slow. The table next to us was complaining about that too. A lot of time between courses. Like Drago restaurants they really push the truffles and give you no opportunity to ask for LA tap water as they immediately have still or sparking bottles in your face when service starts. The thing that bothered us the most was we ordered their "ravioli sampler" appetizer. We ordered a lot of food so we only wanted a taste of each of the three ravioli types. We ordered one plate. They brought two plates telling us that it was actually one order. When the bill came it was actually two orders (at $24 apiece). We did not complain (and but for OpenTable sending us this "write a review", we would not have complained). Our experience - we think the servers "work you".

Wonderful, indulgent experience. I’d eat here every night and try everything if I could. Some of the best Italian food in Los Angeles. Our server is amazing - remembered my wife and I from a few months back and gave us an impeccable experience.

We were looking for authentic Italian and definitely found it! Food was excellent. The cacio e pepe is the test and it was fantastic! Service was pretty good considering it was New Years Eve. The restaurant is tiny - smaller than many in the same area, and we were packed in pretty tight. Normally not a big issue but with pandemic restrictions enforced everywhere else, I was a bit surprised. Masks were required but that was it. Also it is pricey, but you get what you pay for. All in all a wonderful experience!

Every bite was really yummy. Service was wonderful. Highly recommend for good Italian in LA which is rare. My family is from Italy, we make it fresh all the time, their pasta did not disappoint.

Smaller portions for an Italian meal. Left a little hungry after an app and a pasta dish. It was a weird balance between small fancy restaurant portions but with Italian food, which is contradictory…Stopped for a burger on the way home.

Will be back. Will order more next time.

The space was quaint and interesting, although a bit cool because they kept the front door open on a cool evening. The food was very good but not as special as I had hoped. Great wine list. Service was very good.

Good was excellent, the restaurant cozy, chairs cushions could be replaced. The waiter was really the only real weak spot. He talked to you as if it was the first time dining, he failed to mention specials which we learned after overhearing another tables waiter. Definitely would go back. And recommend you try it.

We will go back to this place someday because the food is exquisite, and both the wine list and ambiance are top shelf. However - and I'm assuming this is due to the post-pandemic labor shortage - our server really had no business working in a restaurant like this. He was obviously inexperienced, communicated in clipped sentences, and was generally gave us what can be diplomatically described as clumsy service. I specifically requested that our dishes be served one at a time and in the order we requested them. I had originally requested that we order one dish at a time but was informed that we had to advise the kitchen of every dish we wanted, which I've never heard of before, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. We informed of our choices, requested they be brought one at a time and in that order, but our server didn't write any of this down. Within 5 minutes, two dishes arrived and I immediately explained to the captain/sommelier that we were NOT in a hurry; things got slowed down after that, although the order of the dishes got spun out a bit. Eventually, the runners and other staff took very good care of us. Interestingly, we ended up ordering another dish very late in our meal and the kitchen managed to get that out without issue, so I'm not sure where our guy was coming from with the demand that we front load our order.

Nonetheless, the food that comes out of this kitchen will literally inspire you to lick the plate. Crab and watercress salad and burrata caprese to start, both prepared to perfection. Scallops with truffle beure blanc that was so rich and savory I can't adequately describe; pumpkin ravioli with sage butter sauce that actually melted in our mouths. Truffle risotto so rich and aromatic it finished for over over a minute like a great wine. Veal al' limone - such a simple and commonly available dish but here - velvety lemon sauce, rich with stock and butter and the most tender veal you can imagine. Bravo!

Very friendly and attentive service, the food was excellent. Great crostini appetizer and the risotto was superb.
Intimate environment. Nice winelist, though there could be a few more availabilities by the glass. Unless you're not price sensitive, ask before ordering any of the specials or you may get a surprise at the end.
