Delicious ravioli and wonderful wine! Would definitely come back.
Absolutely wonderful experience like always. Love the servers.
Via Veneto is a special place. My husband and I went for a belated anniversary dinner and we had a wonderful night. It's got a great ambiance and the service is amazing, not to mention the food. We are fans of Italian food and this was not only authentic, but next level ( and I think just about everyone who works there is Italian). Also, Simone rocks!
Good food and pleasant service. Pricey. Very noisy and small tables.
Via Veneto is the best Italian restaurant on the Westside. It's only one of a handful of places in Los Angeles where I feel as if I'm eating a fine meal back in Rome, where I once lived.
New favorite restaurant. Seriously still dreaming about this meal. Truffle heaven.
Amazing everything about it was perfect. I always comeZ great for dates and authentic Italian. Best in Los Angeles
The food was outstanding, the waitress super nice and knowledgeable, the ambience great, the only draw back was we had to wait over 1/2 hour from our reservation time to be seated and there was no place to sit or get a drink in the mean time, seemed like they were a bit overwhelmed and maybe overbooked the night, and did nothing other than say sorry.
Slow service. I think they needed more servers. I asked specificity if my fish was cooked with lemon and olive oil only, our sever said yes. Then it comes with a tree trunk of rosemary inside, Which I’m allergic to. Everything else we ordered was delicious. Very expensive. Great ambiance.
Delicious. Wonderful ambiance and the staff above and beyond!
Amazing food, service and ambiance! Great for a romantic dinner!
Traditional Italian excellent consistent food
This restaurant is a gem. Great atmosphere, outstanding service and the food was incredible. Great for a date night, you won't be disappointed.
Foods amazing great ambience but loud!
For years this has remained our favorite restaurant in Los Angeles and it never fails to provide the most magical evening with perfect food and perfect service. Pricey but worth every penny. Lobster Pasta, Branzino, you name it. Perfection!
The food was generally great but we felt that we were taken advantage of. The waiter told us that “everybody orders the ravioli appetizer” so we did. It was 8 small raviolis (which were delicious) but he didn’t tell us they were $38 dollars each! My wife ordered the fish special at the waiters recommendation and it was $56. So when the bill came it was hundreds of dollars more then we expected. We paid the bill and gave a nice tip but We really felt like we were taken advantage of. Food was pretty good but we will never go back and would never recommend it to friends.
Via Veneto was such a discovery! Masterful, Ramon, its chef, made dishes that, as an Italian, I would not find as good even in Italy sometimes! Bravo Ramon! And Christian and his staff made service beyond excellent! If you have a special occasion, romantic date, or are simply celebrating life...I’ll say you must try it! I was, an in heaven! So happy to have found an authentic Italian restaurant in la! So they do exist! Looooooove this one! The spaghetti alle vongole GF were to die for, and the appetizers...octopus and tris di pesce...omg!! The wine “antica,” Chardonnay, suggested by Christian, just exceeded my already high expectation, and finally the panna cotta as a dessert was otherworldly! You cannot give more than 5 stars to this place! But a review that actually gives less than 5 stars is just damn wrong! Cheers to Italy, Ramon, and authentic Italian cusine
Fantastic food and incredible service. Best Italian restaurant on the west side.
This venue is consistently outstanding. Especially when white truffle season is here.
What can I say? White truffles were in season and I couldn’t resist. The food was perfection, service was impeccable and this is a meal I’ll remember for a long time. Via Veneto is a bit pricey but so worth it if you are a foodie looking for an outstanding dining experience. Wouldn’t eat there every day (couldn’t afford it) but for a special occasion or the few times a year I really splurge on a fine meal, this is my go to place. It’s a small place so reservations are a must unless you go very early during the week. I am never disappointed at Via Veneto.
Incredible food, some of the best we’ve ever had, and I consider myself to be a foodie. Truly authentic Italian is hard to come by in LA, and via Veneto does it perfectly. Amazing food and wine list. Easily went to the top of my list for a special occasion restaurant!
We need to dine their more often. EVERY time we do, it's wonderful. The staff is so attentive and friendly and upbeat. The food - the FOOD - THE FOOD is wonderful. Always seasoned and lively. Vegetarian options as well, and they don't disappoint. Pasta cooked to perfection. Incredible wine list. The ambience is moody, but we can still read the menus. The music is 'just right'. THANK YOU for not making your restaurant loud. Vie Veneto 10/10. LOVE you guys!
Overall very good (as always). great food and great service (not to mention an excellent Italian wine list). My only “complaint” is the small tables combined with large plates. Two people ordering 2 mains and a side, when there are water and wine glasses on the table as well creates a problem. I’ve had people at the table next to mine (on more than one occasion) bumping into my table and even into the glasses on my table when leaving or returning to their table. It’s all just too tight.
From moment of arrival we were made to feel welcome. Food was superb. The whole experience was excellent.
Would definitely recommend. Moody romantic lighting, great service, delicious food. Loved it.
only critique it was extremely warm inside. Other than that had a lovely time!
simply fantastic. that’s really all I have to say.
Awesome!! Thank you so much for everything.
Via Veneto is one of the best restaurants in all of Los Angeles, not just Santa Monica. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable and the ambiance is warm and cozy. If you drive by Via Veneto you would never guess that the experience inside is a warm, energetic and romantic oasis as compared to the somewhat urban beach vibe of the surrounding area. I highly recommend this amazing venue without hesitation or qualification of any kind whatsoever.
The BEST Italian we have had in a very long time! LOVE the atmosphere too!!
The service is excellent, but the meal was not. Nothing was truly outstanding for the prices paid. I ordered the special which was Denver sole. I didn't even think to ask the price because it's sole. It's one of the cheapest fishes you can buy and I didn't want to sound tacky asking the price in front of my guests. I was charged $50 for one piece of sole. Nothing else comes with it as it's all ala cart. The appetizers were good, the pasta was probably the best part, but the entrees were just okay and the desserts less than okay. I won't be going back there even though the service was wonderful.
Ambiance was nice, very authentic Italian. However, there was no follow through on the service. After we placed our order no one came by after to pour our wine, offer more water, etc. For the price Tasting Kitchen, Felix or Capo are all much better choices. Fun to go here once, but now I understand why it’s not a spot people talk about. Was underwhelmed.
Way too expensive
Dinner was excellent. Likewise the wine and dessert. Service was very good, the only issue being the decibel level of the waiter. Too loud.
We had a very nice anniversary dinner.
Food is always consistently awesome! We are regulars.
Desert was not good at all and waiter did not seem to care. It was the "special" of the evening and seemed like it was made several days before and sat in refrigerator. Very disappointing for $16. The rest of the meal was quite nice.
Wonderful restaurant, perfect for a romantic date or any special occasion. Great food, lovely staff, I can't say enough positive things about the place
For someone that’s love good Italian food this is the place
The food is delicious very consistent and fresh
We go there at least twice a month
Excellent meal for 4 of us with assorted pastas. Lovely space, great service. On the pricey side.
Best dining experience in LA
Great food and great location!
