My favorite place to eat in Beverly Hills (I’m from the east coast so definitely have not tried all the restaurants but eat here whenever I’m in town). I love the ambiance and the food and service is great. I think the food is reasonably priced, especially being in Beverly Hills!

Service was terrible. It’s always nice when your appetizers arrive half way through your main courses.

Hmmm.... As a regular patron of all the Drago family establishments, I was very surprised with the poor experience I had. The food was average, took forever to get a waiter's attention (because my fork was sticky - yuck), and most surprisingly, the waiter asked if we want cheese on a seafood pasta (I thought it's suppose to be an authentic Italian!) Sadly, it's starting to feel like Olive Garden...

Celebrating my wife's birthday. The food was outstanding, particularly my pasta dish in duck ragout. The only detraction was the service, which, at times, was inattentive. For example, I would have liked a second glass of wine with my meal, but I was done by the time the server came to check on us. Despite this quibble, I would return, and I would also recommend this to any one interested in comfort-style Italian cuisine.

The ambiance was great... the food not so much. One person had Clam linguini and the linguini had absolutely no flavor at all. The only flavor in the dish was the clams themselves. Another had eggplant parmesan which was just OK ... nothing to rave about. I had Risotto al Funghi and it did not have much flavor. It was finally OK when I had them shower it in a ton of Parmesan and added salt. Overall a great disappointment in Italian food! The bread and wine were good. Our server, Raoul, was excellent.

The staff were excellent in terms of warmth. But you don't have you just one waiter, they sort of team up. Which ended up meaning a lot of crossed wires, miscommunications, orders not coming out or getting mixed up. Different waiters coming repeatedly and asking the same questions.

We also had the strange experience of the chef -- who seemed like a fantastic person -- coming out to check on us and telling us one thing was available, and then other waiters saying no, it wasn't. It was all kind of a mess, honestly. The food was fair but nothing special. And it was really loud -- which is fine, it's just not at all what we expected.

Very very slow service. Place was not that busy that we had to wait 15 minutes for waiter to take order. Had to ask for bread. My guest ordered risotto which he was served in 5 minutes along with my salad. Very surprised a Drago restaurant would serve pre cooked rice.
The rice tasted ok but was over cooked.
Surprised as I have had many good meals here, maybe an off day

We were put in the back by the super loud AC Unit. Food was sub par. The waiter was cool but seemed way over worked. Absolutely no reason to go here when there are so many better options.

My wife and I were hoping for a nice, quiet, good meal together in a comfortable, upscale restaurant. This one had been recommended to us by a friend, so we tried it out. I don't know why, but I had visions of a nice room with tablecloths and dim lighting, but what we ended up in was, in essence, a sports bar, with numerous TVs around the room and a bar right in the middle. There is outside seating, which may be nicer, but on this night it was too cold for that, so we took a table near the door. But here's the deal: Even though the ambiance was a disappointment, the food was outstanding, which made up for a lot! We had the Burrata for an appetizer and it was really, really good. My friend raved about the risotto here, so I tried the Risotto al Funghi, which was outstanding. My wife had the special of the day riosotto (curried), which was also delicious. And we closed with a wonderul warm chocolate cake (hard to mess that up). So overall, if you're looking for good Italian food and don't care much about the atmosphere, Via Allloro is a good choice. But if you're in the romatic mood, I'd try elsewhere.

Well, it was Valentine night. This restaurant is just plane overpriced for the food. Not that the food is not bad Italian just not worth the price! Small Caesar salad $12, but if you want Anchovies add $3 more. The main course was Cod - not special except for the price of $36.
The waiter: a likable guy but condescending with not much charm.
The desert: I asked if the barriers between the cake (looked like a hamburger bun) was moist. Waiter said yes. However it was as dry as the stones in Rome. I informed him of the dryness and his response was “I’ll let the kitchen know”. Big deal he’ll let the kitchen know. I paid for it.
Overall, there are better and less expensive Italian restaurants in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills.

Day before Valentines Day Dinner. Made a reservation in advance and asked for quiet table as possible. It was not that busy for the night before Valentines and there were plenty of tables. My girlfriend went in early as I parked and was seated on the patio within a 2 feet of a loud group of 4. I asked why we didn’t get a more romantic spot and I was told by the hostess that “this was quieter then inside”. That was not the case. Very disappointed and should have insisted we move. The group next to us was so loud tables well away from us were rolling their eyes. Food was good, but if you are looking for a nice romantic dinner look elsewhere. Really disappointed!!!

Via Alloro is one of our favorite restaurants, but the service the other evening was very slow, not just for us, but everyone around us. It took an hour and a half to get our meal. Don’t know if some people didn’t show up for work or if there was a problem in the kitchen, but this was not their usually level of service.

Tanino and Giacomino do an excellent job here. It is always an enjoyable evening even though some of the wait staff could use a little more training. One waiter really stands out. He is from Messina and knows his business. The changing menu is the way to go although just a pizza sometime is very good. The Dragos have their own bakery and bread is excellent along with their private label olive oil. The price is also right!

Via Alloro is the most underrated restaurant in the Drago brothers' culinary empire. Menu covers most Italian foods. It is broad based and solid, but not exceptional. Don't go there if you expect to find a memorable dish such as the uniquely prepared baked artichoke served at the unforgettable Piccolo Paradiso, or the well prepared Buccatini with Meat Balls on the menu at the amazingly popular Il Pastaio.

But, go there if you like a well managed and fun restaurant, with plenty of elbow room, excellent outdoor seatings, and great variety of wines by the glass, dispensed by state of the art equipment. And especially go there if you appreciate excellent service and management that are truly attentive to your requests.

Worst experience. Worst service. Worst food. Worst attitude. Sat indoors in a small tight uncomfortable table squished against the glass. Waiter was in a terrible rush as he took our drink orders on the fly as he ran by. I asked for still water and was informed they only carry Evian. Odd choice for an Italian restaurant. I asked what sized bottle & he pointed to a table I could not see. Drinks came. Bread did not. Had to ask for it. Had to ask for olive oil. Appetizers took over 30 minutes. Dinner another hour. Tried to flag down the waiter several times to no avail. He ignored us completely. Saw 3 men in suits roaming the restaurant and tried to catch their attention to no avail. Watched them talking & laughing at a station near the kitchen. As we both waved our arms for attention our waiter finally acknowledged us. We asked for our dinner. His response "it's not my fault". It arrived. Salmon was average. The Paillard Di Pollo which was advertised as grilled chicken was swimming in brown grease. The taste was worse - sour, inedible. Flagged the waiter and told him. He took it away, no questions asked, no offers made. He asked me to tell the maitre d'. I told him to relay my message as I did not want to prolong the evening. Naturally, the maitre d' came over. I told him the chicken was swimming in brown grease and ...
That was as far as I got as he walked away mid-sentence.
This was our third attempt at this restaurant. Something always went wrong. This was the worst.
Three strikes and you're out.

The food was good. However we were seated outside and although there were heaters it was quite cold. The prices are pretty high however the service was pretty terrible. Really abrupt and no care given or time spent looking after the table. They brought out soup to one of the party and served it when they were away from the table so the soup was just left there getting cold. They brought over the wrong wine (Sauvignon Blanc)and obviously hadn’t checked the bottle to check that it was correct (Riesling). We had to point it out it was the wrong one. Food was just plonked down in front of us and the bill was brought to us without us asking for it. Overall very disappointing and when spending that much money service is everything.
