Via 45 Ratings and Reviews
The appetizer that we shared was the calamari which is always delicious. My entre was grilled salmon with various sauteed veggies which was perfectly prepared and enjoyable. He had chicken parm with ziti. He said it was good but the chicken was very thick and he didn't have room for the ziti so I ate it. The ziti tasted very good. We shared a nut laden dessert which tasted creamy but light. After that, we both happily rolled out of Via 45!
The meals are always delicious and very creative here. The inside is like being at home with different chairs, plates, tables etc, very eclectic. The staff is very helpful and service is friendly, jovial and informative. The menu changes every day as the chefs find what’s in the markets and make a hand written menu each night from what they find. They were totally filled all night that we were there, they are always filled. We started with a plate of Beets and Oranges and also an order of Mussels Fra Di Avolo, fabulous. Then three of us had the Herb Crusted Swordfish and an order of Lobster Ravioli, all cooked to perfection and quiet delicious. We took pictures so you can see some of our visit. There is no way you can’t have a great time here and enjoy the vibe along with your meals. All of us highly recommend this restaurant for fine dining that feels like you’re at home with their excellent service and meals. Claudette and Lauren sure know how to keep everybody happy with their excellent cooking. Try them, make a reservation way in advance and feel the taste of their delicious meals.
We finally got a reservation to this extremely popular dining spot - and I can see why it's hard to reserve. First of all, I think lots of large groups tend to dine here, so limits the amount of smaller parties. However it is a fun and festive place to have a big group! The food is very very good - all cooked to order so piping hot and fresh. Pasta is house made and wonderful - I had trout piccata which was really fresh and lovely. My friends enjoyed the cheese board and they split the ravioli and loved it. Our server was attentive and friendly and efficient. Sadly we were too full for dessert, but will try another time. At the end the chef/owner came to greet us, which as a lovely gesture. One tiny criticism - walking to the back for the restrooms, you pass the kitchen, which is a disorganized mess! Lots of people, stuff all around, etc. I think it could use a little Marie Kondo-ing.
Had a great meal with another couple. The food was very good all-around, but as a celiac - I opted for the GF pork-chop Milanese which was prepared well - only a little plain. Everyone else was very pleased - however the meal/service did take far too long. We were seated at 6:30pm and it was 9:30 by the time we paid the bill. We will be back for sure - one thing you will notice, the staff is very friendly and the ownership really cares about the quality of the food and their customers.
The food and preparation of the meal was excellent. Alan and I shared the fried calamari as our appetizer which tasted fresh and really great.
His entree was the monkfish francais which didnt taste francaisy. He didn't like the sauce that it was cooked in. He liked the fish itself. I had the grilled salmon which was very good....not too salty and the salmon was very fresh. The bread dipped in the dipping olive oil in the beginning of the meal was good.
Our dessert was great. Raspberry sorbet enclosed in a dark chocolate covering. It was light and refreshing. The only downside was the group of screaming ladies on our right who definitely enjoyed themselves even though the noise they made was enough to give you ahjaduh (phonetically) and an earache. No fault of the owner of Via 45 who are very nice.
Wow! We love Via 45 and wonderful chefs Claudette and Lauren.
Everysingle time we come to their "table" we are delighted and
From the amazing "purses" and Burrata salad, and delicious trout
(which I never ate before Via 45 and now love it)
Eggplant dinner and I could go on.
We go as often as is possible and will keep coming back.
Thank you Ladies and Michelle, our wonderful server, for a "10"
This Tuscan experience is waiting for you. Claudette welcomed us upon arrival and even checked in a few times.
They change the menu every day and all meals are prepared from scratch! It is BYOB so be prepared to bring your best bottle of Italian wine to this wonderful find.
We recently took our grown kids to dinner at Via 45. Everyone agreed the food was delicious! My husband had the salmon, which I tasted and it was great. Two of us had the Haddock, which was moist and tasty, and my youngest ordered the pork chop, which was one of the specials. We agreed we would definitely visit again. Service is not rushed, and the atmosphere is relaxed, which both my kids liked.
