One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had!
Had a very nice evening ! With outstanding service, atmosphere a nd fantastic food. Our servers were extremely knowledgeable and were there without being there. We loved it.
The tasting menu is a tour de force of textures, flavors, and sensory experience. Servers are incredibly knowledgeable and great guides through each course and its ingredients. Particularly fun is how they give you a preview of some upcoming courses as they come out of the oven (whole baked tarts, roasted whole fish are examples) and before they are prepared for your plate. Pastas are inventive and delicious. You’ve never eaten anything like this, come hungry and don’t miss the cheese course with some dessert wine.
Exceptional. Will make a point of going any time I am in Philadelphia.
Best meal we've had in Philly for a long time. Everything about the dinner was perfect. Each course was delectable. The pasta melted in our mouths, the Dover sole was scrumptious , and desserts were yummy! Well worth the price!
Dinner was amazing!!! The service was wonderful. Everything we ate tasted terrific.
Food was amazing. Service was outstanding. Maybe best I've experienced.
What a night. Enjoyed every plate. Service was dynamite. Definitely a special meal.
Tremendous hospitality and cuisine. Just a true culinary experience with wonderful staff. Made us feel at home and welcome.
My thanks for a lovely evening we will always cherish
Splendid food + great dining experience. I’ve dined in Michelin-star Italian restaurants before but still Vetri Cucina blew me away. Each course was pretty delicate and the taste was very well-balanced. Scallops were a refreshing start for lunch. Lamb sirloin was very well cooked and the quality of lamb was fabulous. Fettuccine was really rich in flavor, meanwhile not greasy at all. They also have really great wines to pair with each course. I would definitely come back again!
Nicely designed menu. Every dish was delicious and the service standard is exceptional.
Will definitely come back!
We had a wonderful meal. The approach is so thoughtful and the service is impeccable. Loved being able to try so many different dishes. Everything was cooked perfectly. I wish I could eat this way every day!
One of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. Amazing overall experience from cocktails to dessert!
The scallop dish had the best scallops I have ever had. Easily a top 5 dish of all time. Everything was great!
You can’t get any better than Vetri. From the small, quiet dining room to the perfect service. What tops it all is the food. There is no better place to celebrate a special occasion.
Fantastic! Every bite & sip worthwhile.
The staff and food at Vetri lived up to their name. Everything was wonderful. Our server took the time to explain everything to us and also threw in some extra tasting offerings to surprise us. Marc was there and visited the tables. It was a great, relaxing experience and we would highly recommend it.
This is an exceptional place for fine dining Italian style. Very course was prepared with diligence and esprit, needless to say that the taste profile of the entire sequence of courses throughout the tasting menu was spectacularly harmonic. Service is very personal and caring, just a place you feel at home while always feeling to be a little special to the host. Only little improvement i would suggest: When it comes to pick "your favorite" for the various courses, just add the question "what is the dish you don't want to have" - I just got one which I really didn't want (it was very good though, but it there was an ingredient used which I am really a big fan of). Other than that, it is worth every dollar you will spend (and you will spend quite a few there)!!! Thanks again, a great concept!
Fabulous meal! Fabulous service!
One of the best dining experiences of our lives
Every was so kind, knowledgeable and attentive. They truly cared about what they were doing. That’s hard to find.
The occasion was an early Valentine’s Day dinner. I don’t know where to start as everything was excellent! The service was superb, our waitress was very knowledgable and answered any question we had regarding the menu. The service was excellent like fine dining should be. We were not rushed and we were able to discuss each plate without having to dive into the next course. We enjoyed the chef’s selections as we were excited not knowing was going to be served to us and every plate served was delicious! With that being said, between the two of us we were served almost every item on the menu and by time dessert rolled around we were fully sated. Although it is on the pricey side it was by far one of the best dining experiences my fiancée and I have had together and well worth every dollar. We are looking forward to our next visit!
Awesome food as always!!! Wouldn’t ever expect any less.
Best restaurant experience in my lifetime. The staff was amazing and overly accommodating. Each course was a piece of art. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Love being able to place ourselves into the chef and sommenlier's hands. Amazing experience.
Best meal in a long time!
Exceptional food. Some of the best pasta I've ever had
Very pleasant restaurant with out of the ordinary Italian dishes. Wonderful meal and excellent wait staff. A must try if you’re in the area.
Insanely good as always. I think we had a total of 18 plates hit the table between the two of us during the course of the evening, not including the amazing bread, made will house milled flour.
I had wanted to try Vetri for some time, and it did not disappoint. Every single course was delicious, unique, and so thoughtfully prepared. The service was outstanding and unpretentious (the staff is just delightful), and the wine list was fabulous. I highly recommend doing the wine pairing - you get to try so many interesting wines, paired perfectly with each course. So often meals are rushed, even at nicer restaurants, but the pace of this dining experience was nothing like that. I felt like I had all the time in the world to savor every course. I can't wait to go back.
Magnificent. This is the third or fourth time we've been, and the execution is consistent and flawless. The wine pairing is thoughtfully assembled and adventurous, albeit spendy. I would call it modern Italian. Mr Vetri and his team deserve the many accolades.
From the moment we walked into Vetri, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The maître d' graciously welcomed us and offered a delicious apéritif while we waited to be seated. We were on our honeymoon and everyone congratulated us and went out of their way to make us feel special.
Each course was so meticulously crafted and perfectly plated with the utmost care and poise. My wife and I were beyond impressed with the world-class level of dining at Vetri. Our wine pairings heightened each course - both of us appreciate excellent wine, and I can't imagine experiencing the courses without wine pairings!
We loved learning about each course and learning about the wine, winemakers, and vintages. This was the highlight of our honeymoon, and a meal we will remember for years to come.
We were especially impressed with the pistachio flan and onion crepe - easily our 2 favorites!
Thank you, Vetri, for making our night truly one to remember.
Food was beyond amazing. 3 hour dining experience. Expensive but a great special occasion night.
This restaurant is a once in a lifetime kind of dinner. The food, the service, the ambiance was all incredible. The Prix fixed menu is $168 and chef's tasting. It is a great restaurant to really celebrate a big event, worth every penny. I recommend going with 4 people. We were able to pass all the plates and taste a little bit of everything. If you are only with 2 people, you likely won't get the chance to sample every dish. There is a reason this restaurant is in the top 10 restaurants in Philadelphia and it the food and service really speak for themselves.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had. It was a pure pleasure from start to finish. I had no idea what to expect with the tasting menu. I could not believe how many items we were able to try over 2 and a half hours. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. It is one of the costliest meals I have ever had, but it is worth it. Come prepared with an open mind to experience new things.
Great experience cozy dinning room can't wait to go back.
Food was absolutely amazing. It is expensive but they are very upfront about the price. Service was attentive and the entire experience was fantastic. With regard to our menu they created a different menu for both of us so we could share and have a full taste of the menu
Our visit to Vetri was a Christmas gift to my kids who enjoy good food and wine. Our experience was unparalleled. The food and wine pairings were amazing, outstanding all and the staff were warm, friendly, and treated us like old friends. The evening was a huge success. We will do it again as soon as we can.
On our latest trip to Philadelphia, we made sure to include Vetri on the itinerary. The restaurant is still very small, plain and simple (almost rustic in décor); the service is still exemplary; and the food, for the most part, is fabulous. Upon arrival, we were presented with the menu and asked if there were any particular dishes we wanted/did not want. After that, the courses came in dizzy procession: For appetizers: tuna crudo; sweet onion crepe with truffle fondue; beef tartare with bagna cauda; day boat scallp with foriana; tortellini pie; for pasta: swiss chard gnocchi with brown butter, almond tortellini with truffle sauce; chesnut fazzoletti with wild boar ragu; tajarin with king crab and caviar; casoncelli with brown butter and sage; for mains: capretto with soft polenta and duck with chicory. Before dessert, there was a mandarin orange/pistachio sorbet palate cleanser. Desserts were pistachio flan; chocolate polenta soufflé; and a chestnut napoleon. With so many courses, we opted for the wine pairings, which went well with each dish. The servers did a great job describing the dishes as well as the wines. Our only quibble was with the main courses: neither the capretto nor the duck were particularly good. Having had so many pasta courses, we probably could have skipped the mains and have been perfectly happy. None of this comes cheap; Vetri was the most expensive meal by far on the entire trip. Nevertheless, we continue to be impressed with Vetri and will return.
