   Had never been before. Went because we were t happy with the restaurant we were at previously. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Great ambiance, service and food. The manager (not sure of her name) was very kind and attentive. I spilled a drink and she was there cleaning before it reached the edge of the table ! We will be back

   There were 3 of us for dinner. I had the Wild Boar Ragu Pasta which was outstanding, my husband had the special trout and enjoyed it, and our guest had a seafood pasta which he thought was delicious! Definitely a pleasant evening.

   this was my second visit to vespaio, and it didn't disappoint. we were cordially greeted and took a table in the garden room, which was delightful. started off with cocktails and were able to carry on a pleasant coversation. we shared a romano pizza and it was satisfying and delecious we actually wanted a quiet place for conversation and enjouing each others company. it filled the bill. i will continue to vist vespaio in the days to come

    We came for dinner before a concert and our 3rd party was late from, well you know, traffic! Our waitress was amazing and made us so comfortable and let us know when we should order to make it on time. She was amazing. The Eggplant Parmagiana was delicious and filling, as was the Romana Pizza. The Pappardelle with the Wild Boar Ragu was the winner though. Really good. We had a delicious wine Libero which is a Brunello di Montalcino. It was a wonderful evening and we made it to the concert without a hitch.

    This was our second time dining at Vespaio, and once again, it did not disappoint. We ate on the covered patio. We have had four different pastas over two visits, and all were excellent. The tagliatelle verde is particularly good. We started with burrata, served on a slice of eggplant with roasted tomatoes — very good. Go for the ciabatta over the focaccia. Pleasant and attentive service.

    Surprisingly good food, and attentive service. With change in management at Music Center restaurant, Vespeio is now the go to place for before/after concert hall and theater performances. Would have rated five stars except for large size of restaurant. Researched beforehand, and cannot understand any negative reviews.

    We love the food here, true Italian! A varied menu which never fails to please. The salads and sandwiches are amazing. In the past we've enjoyed the pasta, and have even hosted two group events there.

    The “outdoor” covered space was lovely and spacious and the food was excellent. We had the spinach salad, the salmon and the seafood stew, which was delicious as were the desserts. The only disappointment was the tiramisu, which was missing something—perhaps coffee or marsala wine?

    They were short staffed which left water glasses empty, having to focus to find staff to ask them to take our order, pay our bill, etc. which is a distraction from the dinner conversation. While my sauce was good, the gluten free pasta was undercooked, not el dente but in a few pieces crunchy. Not sure about the staff generally but our server did not have an understanding of what eating gluten free means, which makes eating there a nervous experience. While we overall enjoyed and the decor was engaging, probably wouldn't go back as the value wasn't there.

    We sat at the small bar and it was not busy. There were 2 bartenders. We had to ask to order drinks and it took 15 minutes to get a bartenders attention. We also had to ask to order food and refills on water. They were not attentive at all. One of the worst bar experiences. The food was ok. The eggplant parm was very greasy. We did enjoy the minestrone soup and coconut cake.

    We enjoyed having a quiet table away from others. Our server was attentive, quite helpful and very polite. Both our dinners were tasty indeed; service was quite prompt. The plate of pasta my wife had seemed a bit pricey; my porchetta seemed more reasonable. Close proximity to Disney Hall was a plus.

    The food tasted like an Applebees, and the pizza tasted frozen with absolutely now flavor. The Risotto was undercooked and again, very little flavor. The only good thing was the ciabatta bread but for some reason the oil and vinegar was poured for us and he didn’t even ask what quantities of oil and vinegar we preferred, just poured away and then took the bottles with him. I guess they didn’t trust us to do for ourselves with our $12 bread. The prices were outrageous and comparable to Jose Andre’s restaurant with the only difference, they are not Jose Andres! The only decent thing on their menu is a lunch burger that is not available for dinner. We should have gone to Danny Boys for a couple slices and saved ourselves $100. Not worth with all the other choices downtown.

    As a frequent guest of Vespaio I'm happy to see the remodel went well. the chairs out in the garden area when moved make an awful grinding sound and should have some rubber or support on the chair legs so that they run across the concrete quieter. Service is ok, but gets worse once the crowds arrive. this has been the case at Vespaio for the last few years, they get busy, you wait and wait. best to go early for better service. still I feel that this place meets most of my needs and is overall comfortable for a before show dinner.

    My husband and I came to this restaurant for lunch before the symphony and we were so happy to have had such great food, ambiance, and service. It is so close to all the theaters, the food was so good and fresh, the staff was amazing.....we have found our new spot for pre-theater/symphony place. Thank you!!!!

    This is my go to place for dinner when I have a show to see in The Ahmnason nice friendly staff and we’ve been there frequently enough. They remember us when we come in, so definitely feels like home for us now.

    Food was very good. Food prices were fair. Drinks were ridiculous. $18 for a cocktail. They were good but not worth the $18. Service was good. Nothing special. Not as attentive as we are used to at other places. Distracted server i think. Desserts were yummy. Overall it was fun.

    We really enjoyed Vespaio last week. Elizabeth and our server were fun and relaxed and we were able to enjoy our food and the atmosphere without feeling rushed. The Burrata was the best ever, but one of the specials didn't quite make it for me. I'll try something else next time-and there will be a next time!

    Everything was marvelous! We loved our server (forgot his name!), the atmosphere, the way they catered to our timeline as we needed to get to Disney Hall at 8 and it’s a five-minute walk. A perfect night started here with the kale and ricotta ravioli and homemade pasta verde. We can’t wait to come back.

    i like this place, inside is nice but the "outdoor" space is exceptional, it just feels good out there. service here is spotty though and this visit was no different. i left a huge window so we wouldn't be rushed to get to the Phil and there was plenty of time, but by the time they asked if we wanted coffee or something sweet, it might've been a squeeze. might've been the gig, they didn't seemed thrilled to be working there. wouldn't stop me from returning because overall, i like it, would def recommend [and they take reservations and it's affordable].
