Bianca Truffle Cheese Pizza
The food and ambience was superb -waitstaff on their game and very pleasant.
We had a pre-concert dinner last night and couldn't have been more pleased. The decor was modern, warm and beautiful. We started with one of the evening's special appetizers, a crostini with burrata mozzarella, prosciutto, shaved black truffles, and micro greens, which we loved. We shared another special, the Chilean sea bass in a light lemon butter sauce, and their classic lasagna with meat. Both were equally good. For dessert, we shared the Bombolini - the perfect dessert for two to share. Our waitress, Jasmine, was delightful and the service was well-paced so that we were able to enjoy our dinner in leisure and get to the theatre with time to spare.
We had a wonderful time. Our dinner was fabulous and our waiter was even better. We will come back again next time we are in town. Thanks for the great birthday dinner. It was very memorable.
It was the perfect place before Theater night! Service was prompt and we were well taken care of. Timely appetizers and entrees!
The service was too-notch, very attentive and personable. The salad was well dressed and not overly done. The pasta knocked it out of the park and the fish was good as well. The dessert portion was huge!
We were going to the theater as a family and wanted to eat first. This is our 4th time eating at Vespaio in the past 3 years. Our table was on the patio and very comfortable. Our server was wonderful.
A very nice experience.
We dined here pre-theater and the experience was so-so. When we were seated there were literally 3 other tables occupied but for some reason it still took them 10 minutes to greet us once seated.
Service was a bit slow paced during the entire evening.
I’m not sure if our waiter was just having an off night but he got half our order wrong (I ordered the tagliata but received the tagliatelle instead) We ordered the roasted vegetables as a side and there was zero seasoning, it came out super hot which leads me to believe that they were pre roasted then zapped in the micro before service.
Since we were on a time limit I just ate the pasta and didn’t send it back.
For dessert we ordered the fruit tart and pistachio gelato, the server even read it back, and what was delivered was a Nutella gelato instead. Again, pressed for time we just ate it rather than dealing with sending it back.
Overall not that attentive, food was ok, but definitely not for the price tag. A cheese board, two pasta mains, a vegetable side dish, one cocktail, a glass of wine and a bottle of sparkling set us back nearly $200. The price definitely did not mirror the service or food quality.
Probably won’t be back here.
Wonderful food, lovely ambiance, fantastic location!
Beautiful architecture! Great customer service! The food worth its price!
New patio layout and furnishing very pleasanr. Service excellent. Extensive variety of dishes excellent. Very enjoyable dining.
The restaurant finally got the timing right so that the main course doesn't arrive and get cold before I finish my soup.
Decent food with great outdoor patio
I had the chicken paillard salad and the chicken was tough and dry, the other friends were happy with their meals. I was unhappy that they don't serve bread.
This is my favorite place to dine when attending anything at the Disney Hall or Music Center. The food is always excellent and the location is perfect. Thank you for making our dining experience always memorable.
Elena, the manager, could not be doing a better job with Covid. The food is excellent and nicely presented. We had wine and cocktails and had California and Italian choices. Highly respect the work of this restaurant!
All around great restaurant! Our kitchen away from home 💜
New Year’s Eve, post-concert at Disney Concert Hall. Our server, Sylvia was superb.
I know it was NYE and it was crowded but this was not a good experience. It took 20 min. to take our order. Our appetizer only took 10 min. The beet/arugula salad was delicious. The Caprese had no olive oil or balsamic and thus was just tomato and cheese. No flavor at all. It then took 45 min. to get our main dish. The Branzino had no flavor and really dry. We ordered extra lemon. My rack of lamb that I ordered medium came really rare. Our food arrived at 10pm for an 830pm reservation. We had tix for Disney Hall at 1030pm and so we gulfed down our food and took the dessert to go. The panna cota was tasty. Too bad I ate it at 1am in my PJs at home. Our poor waiter look frazled the whole time.
Our mains were poor, the risotto tasted like cooked rice with flavorless gravy. At least they removed it from the bill. My penne with tomato sauce tasted like it could’ve come from a jar. The menu said the wine was a 2017 Pinot Noir from Santa Maria, what we were served was a 2019 from Central Coast, and it was fair at best. And finally the restaurant packed in too many people, it felt unsafe. We won’t be back.
We had a reservation on New Year’s Eve prior to attending a concert at The Walt Disney Concert Hall.
We arrived early but we were promptly taken to our table . The restaurant was decorated beautifully for New Years Eve.
They had a price fix menu or you could order from the regular menu and our server was very attentive and we got our food promptly and the food was so delicious.
Our Beet salad , the Pastas were delicious and best of all was the Chocolate Ganache and also the Apple Cobbler.
We were out in plenty of time to attend our Concert.
They did a fantastic job on New Year’s Eve with all the requirements and short staff. You could see everyone helping and working as a team and I commend the leadership for fostering an environment for all to work together to pull it off. The menu just needs a little tweaking but overall they nailed it for the night.
The New Years Eve Dinner wasn’t good for the $200 price. Lamb was raw, French fries were cold and soggy … the sauce on the NY steak was not good. They were out of crab cakes right from the start. I give it a C- overall. It really sucked.
We went for New Year’s Eve hoping for a great meal and experience. The service was pathetic, they couldn’t even set tables, of which we had two. Our food was cold and the portions were small and overpriced. Our teenagers were still hungry when we left. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
New Year's eve early dinner at 5:30, we were seated at 5:15 pm. There was a prixfixe menu for $98 pp for 3 courses or one could order off the main menu with raised pricing. We ordered off the main menu and wine. They struggled to get the wine and had to return to verify the wine order. Things did not go well after that. Order taken 20 minutes later keep in mind there were 2 other tables with parties of 2 in our area. Waiter back to inform us they had run out of crab cakes which were on the prifixe and reg menu, so we ordered the swordfish carpaccio to replace it. One appetizer brought to table, and no swordfish. Finally a salad was delivered asked what it was, the waiter realized it was the wrong order. So after another wait the correct dish was delivered and the salad was left at the table at no charge. I think they had crab cakes but they chose to only leave them for the prifixe orders. At that point it was 6:15, so at 6:20 we asked the busboy, waiter not in sight, to ask to have our mains fired up. At 6:30 our mains arrived, we rushed to eat, 20 minutes later we had to leave for a 7pm show. Check came in with crab cake charge so had to request new check. All in all terrible service, not focused, for $ 168.00 for 2 I would think elevated service would be provided. No one ever checked in to ask how our meal was, no follow up. I will say the food was excellent and would go back to see if this was an off night but New Years eve is kinda special and a screw up really spoils the evening.
An early dinner at Vespaio New Years Eve 2021 before a show at Disney Hall. The service was great. The food and cocktails were good and prompt. We had plenty of time to enjoy and get to our show. I would highly recommend the restaurant. I gave food 4 stars because the pasta dish was a ground sausage and it was over occupied with the meat more then the rest of the ingredients. Sort of a fancy hamburger-helper with truffles. The goat cheese/beat salad and bruschetta appetizers, plus the fish entree my husband got was wonderful. I wish they had more pasta dishes to choose from but this was the only one available for the night. In general a little over priced. They did not have NY $95 prefix menu, or additional modified menu, available to see before arrival. Not on website, and even when I called, it was not available to tell over the phone. Get the Booster Martini, it rocks!
It was freezing and they sat us in the coldest area of the restaurant where the heaters were not working without telling us that the heaters werent working. There were better much warmer tables available. They didnt inform us & No one was there as we were early pre-concert next to Disney. Our bill was over well over $200 for 2 of us with 1 drink. The food was pretty good but the lack of consideration is ridiculous.
If you consider to charge $$$, you better deliver service, which was lacking here. Food is average, ribeye was really poor, very chewy, most importantly staff was not up to it. Not trained well and could hardly explain the menue.
I don't think it's worth the price..
Our son was home for Christmas and we had tickets to a Holiday show at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Our dinner was pre-show and it fit the bill perfectly. To assuage our COVID fears, we dined on the patio, which was mostly enclosed, warm on a chilly night and beautiful but had windows open on one side for ventilation. The menu was extensive and the food was all really good. My son and I had pasta dishes and my husband had salmon. We arrived early (6 pm for a 8 pm show) which turned out to be perfect as the pace of service was relaxed. We will definitely dine there again when attending Music Center or museum events!
Before concert dinner
We attended before a concert at Disney Hall. Everything was excellent and most of all the service. It was tops. Serve staff are very attentive and accommodating. The food delicious….cocktails too!
Overall, a good experience.
The service was VERY slow even though we told the waiter we have a show at LA Phil, we barely made it and I had to walk over to him and ask for the bill 2ce and then walk the credit cards to him. The food was ok, but did not match the prices. It has very convenient location next to LA Phil, but next time we will walk a bit for a better dinner experience
The food was absolutely amazing! The calamari was 👌 perfect. I had the Porchetta and amazing doesn't do it justice. It was tender flavorful, melted in my mouth. The rosemary potatoes were cooked perfectly with just the perfect amout of rosemary. I only wished I had room to try one of the desserts, but I was stuffed. I will definitely be retiring here as much as possible!
Vespaio has fully reopened, and they are in top of it. Delicious food, excellent service, and a terrific menu. They’ve got it made with the location and their fabulous patio.
Just not great and overpriced
Food was delicious and server very attentive. Great experience.
Pizza has no taste. Pasta is a better choice. Prices are elevated. Great service by staff
Carrot cake like I have never had before! Delicious. And a pistachio cream to dip a forkful in.
It was a lovely lunch. We were a table of 4 and our seating was comfortable, the ambience was nice, and the service was great.
Food is delicious! Maybe they'll start serving family style so I can get "seconds."
