Unimpressed by this establishment. They clearly do not want to cater to larger tables. We had 12 people in our party and went through an absolute nightmare to get 2 tables. What we found was surprising, was the restaurant was not fully booked, and there were plenty of open tables, but for some reason they refused to seat us together, and we had to talk to 3 people to figure it out. Also, the food was just OK. $110 for the porterhouse special and you could have gone to Outback and gotten a better steak. 2 People in our party had to send their food back, and for the price I was COMPLETELY underwhelmed. Also- they have a firm policy about check splitting and refused to split bill by what you ordered vs a 3 way even split. Cause a horrible argument at the table and waiter refused to split the check another way. Service was just OK for such a "Fancy" place.
For the price of the breakfast buffet, I and my guests eating there for a business meeting expected much more than what we paid for. We would have preferred to order off the menu versus the buffet but our server only mentioned the buffet.
Our server Rodrigo was amazing, I would definitely ask for him if you eat here. Very attentive with the right amount of banter. The food was very good, but about $5-10 higher than should be for the appetizers and $10-15 higher than should be for the entrees, in my opinion. For the quality and portion sizes, I would expect it to be a bit less. Its an open air restaurant, so the noise can be a bit loud, but the re-do of the air was very well done!
Great meal. Service was awesome! Portion of scallops was a little small.
A very pleasant relaxing dining experience. Service was timely, food was delicious and served warm. Ambience was light friendly festive.
The lobster Mac and cheese was the best I’ve ever had and the leftovers tasted even better the next day! Our server and the staff were so nice!
Great place to have a glass of wine while visiting Atlanta area
Seated promptly, but then told there is no menu only the breakfast buffet. The buffet was nothing more than a continental breakfast with an omelette station and they were charging $28 per person!!! Total rip off.
Susan, a woman working at reception desk was rude. She turned my wife and I away because we were 10 minutes EARLY to our 11:30 lunch reservation. She asked us 3 times if we were sure we had a reservation (we did). And claimed it was due to them being booked. The entire time we ate, 3 other tables were sat. There was also one large bridal party sat. The restaurant was at nowhere near 50% capacity. I did not appreciate her attitude - unfriendly, unprofessional, and flat out unwelcoming. Had a much better experience everywhere else we ate.
Great experience. Nice waiter and atmosphere was grest
Loved every minute of it!!! The customer service was exceptional!!!
Great Food, Great Service and Very Nice Ambiance.
Delicious and elegant. Wonderful atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back.
The shrimp pasta dish was bland. The French onion soup, on the other hand, was so salty it was inedible. The crab cakes were just ok. I wouldn't eat here again.
Overall experience was nice. Food was good. I would definitely recommend to a friend
My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Chateau Elan and had a delicious dinner at Versailles. Service, food, and atmosphere we're all top notch.
Our server was very sweet. The lobster Mac & cheese was sooooo good.
We were seated in a booth and noise was not a problem in the busy restaurant. Good service. Enjoyed our dinner.
Over the course of a few days, we were able to enjoy both Breakfast and Lunch at Versailles. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our dinner experience from both a quality and value point of view.
The experience was great but the seafood was undercooked. May want to stick with steak or chicken items.
Great place , food was good but for amount that was served , seemed expensive.
Great job love the renovations!!
Excelente place to eat and celebrate special occasions.
We took a few days to spend at the Villa and took our family to Easter dinner. Several items were unavailable. We had 4 entrees, no appetizers, no dessert and no alcohol because we had wine from the winery. Our bill with gratuity was $275. My short rib was bland and chewy. The Lobster MAC and cheese was not cheesy. We have eaten many places within and outside the US. I will not have dinner here again.
very expensive for value of food. dessert was warm and watery, most was more basic buffet with exception of shrimp and crab-legs
Beautiful place to spend time enjoying the grounds the spa and the dining.
Easter brunch. I have been several times and actually lived in the resort previously. The meats were dry, limited salad and vegetable selection, and no candy trail and room for kids to load up on. I was so disappointed in the limited selection of food compared to previous years, especially the complete lack of breakfast items. I felt it was very overpriced for selection and quality. I won’t be back.
Very nice Easter Brunch. Expensive would be the only drawback. Because each station had it’s own servers, many service employees were necessary and I’m sure that was why it was more expensive than in pre covid times. We felt very comfortable, everything was very well managed. Flowers everywhere! Glorious Easter brunch as well as delicious.
The service and ambiance were as expected. The food, however, was unacceptable. Just passable seafood, pasta salad dry and flavorless, red snapper overcooked and dry, roast so tough it was hard to chew. Charging over $100 per person for truly lousy food is just not acceptable. Will never eat at Versailles again. McDonalds would have been much more enjoyable.
My family and I celebrated Easter at Chateau Elan, one of our favorite local spots. The atmosphere is always beautiful- the grounds are lovely and inviting, and this visit was no exception. However, overall this was a rather disappointing experience because of the quality of the food. The Easter brunch buffet was extremely limited in terms of selections offered, and the quality was very poor. The sides were mostly tasteless, and the meat selections were dry and overcooked. The rolls were cold, hard and stale. The seafood selection- cold shrimp, crab legs and mussels- was welcome and tasty. The charcuterie board also looked very tasty. However, most of the entrees, including the risotto, were cold and not maintained at a warm temperature. The desserts were mostly so so- but the chocolate cake was utterly dry and inedible. The service was impeccable and the staff very attentive and welcoming- too bad the food was so poorly done. Chateau Elan is still one of our favorite places and we will definitely give it another try- perhaps they were having an off day food wise. However, as our bill for three people was $360 including gratuity (which was well deserved) and tax, the food quality this time was very disappointing.
Service was great! I would definitely recommend to our friends.
Lovely dinner of lobster Mac n cheese...LOADED w lobster! Hubby enjoyed short rib plate. Tasty dishes. Nice setting.
I’ve planned for months on visiting your location. Finally able to see what all the buzz was about made my day. Truly thru these hard times life hasn’t been easy but being able to come and experience dining there has given me hope and excitement. This was only the tip of the ice berg I would love to experience all that chateau elan has to offer. I also would like to take time out and give all your employees a hats off for all their outstanding efforts and hard work. The facility was very clean and breathe taking. Thank you for having such a exquisite establishment. I will continue to frequently visit there often.
We went there as I am a vegetarian and they had 3 entree items that were vegetarian. Unfortunately they were out of 2 of them. Steak for another guest was overpriced for the meal. They also let 7 guests enter who were not wearing masks. Not cool.
We went for Breakfast.. food took a long time considering it wasn’t crowded. Luckily the atmosphere was pleasant to enjoy while waiting. They need to service specialty coffees or have the waitress get them for you from the upstairs coffee bar. Otherwise a good experience overall.
First time here and everything was amazing from the customer service to the food. A nice vibe for sure!!
The service was excellent. Our server made great wine recommendations, and we came back to the bar several times during our stay for the draft wine.
My experience was superior. We had a waitress that was very helpful and attentive. She made our experience beyond awesome. The food was delicious and fulfilling. The restaurant was clean and elegant. The Versailles at Chateau Elan experience was everything I expected and more.
