Versailles - Chateau Elan

Elan Ballroom is dark and horrible for a temp setup. It is really a catered event, not like a restaurant.
Didn’t like it was buffet style
Servers were excellent! Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Smoked salmon and made to order veggie omelet was amazing!
Glad to see renovations are being made on decor. It will be beautiful.
Loved the live piano.
Hasan is one of the best waiters I have ever had. Extremely professional, courteous, attentive.
I wish the restaurant would enforce the dress code. I am out for an elegant dinner with my wife and saw men in shorts, flip flops, baseball caps on backwards in the restaurant.
We had a big problem with flies. We kept having to swat them away while we were trying to eat. The food was incredible but the flies nagging us and the ambiance did not allow us the romantic feel that we were desiring while celebrating out anniversary.
Great food, pleasant surroundings, service was excellent and very relaxing atmosphere!
We had the buffet. Too expensive- for the food choices.
The pork belly sliders were DIVINE! Brad was great. Will definitely be back.
A wonderful place to sit and visit. Great - really great - service. The Food was ok. But just that. It was buffer night, so maybe it would be better a la carte.
I would give it another try, for sure.
The food was excellent! My husband and I enjoyed everything about the experience.
We chose the buffet, which had excellent choices with a great salad bar, outstanding shrimp and mussel appetizers, wonderful beef, lamp and trout entrees and dessert offerings. We were not rushed at all, were able to enjoy beautiful piano, so it was a wonderful evening!
Tres elegant! I look forward to bringing other friends to dine with you soon!
The atmosphere and service were nice but the food was not up to the par. We had the steak which was dry, over cooked.
Great food, service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend it
ravioli was unrecognizable and not the taste advertised, not great salad, the meat was overcooked and even the wine was just OK
Staff was extremely accommodating to all our requests for an anniversary surprise.
Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The inn and restaurant are so beautiful. It’s really quiet and serene!
The food was great, was my first time. The ambience is out of this world. I will go again and again and again. :)
The service was excellent. The food was good. I would highly recommend dining here to anyone.
We love this elegant dining room and have chosen to eat here on several special occasions (communions, graduations). This Saturday it seemed quiet for lunch, only 2 other tables were occupied, but we did arrive on the later side.
Food is fantastic, large varied salad bar, soup, pasta, and 3 entrees per chefs choice (this time excellent grouper, chicken, and pork medallions, with roasted red potatoes and steamed vegetable medley). Fancy dessert selection but could be a little more kid friendly. Maybe add some cookies/brownies/ice cream?
All this for less than $25 pp is an outstanding value.
Service is very friendly, prompt and professional.
Can't wait to go back and eat here again after the planned renovation.
I ate at Versailles while attending a workshop nearby. I had been looking forward to an outstanding meal all day, but I was quite disappointed. The special salad that I ordered was just a head of iceberg lettuce cut into one quarter, turned over and surrounded by several sliced grapes and a few candied walnuts. The seared salmon came with brown sugar and dill coatings and was just too sweet to enjoy. It made me question the freshness of the salmon. The wine orders were also problematic. I had ordered a reserve chardonnay to go with the salad and a $25 Montepulciano to go with the main course. The chardonnay never arrived and the Montepulciano was very mediocre. And those "vines" out front, they are really just shrubs. There are no grapes grown here that I could find....disappointing.
Although the menu is somewhat limited during the week and some items were not available, the quality of the food was very good. My husband thought the filet was very tasty. I had the veal which was a huge portion and prepared well. The dining room is nice but quite casual for a fine dining restaurant. Our server was very nice.
Limited food ,especially breakfast items,
, also expected mimosa or some type of coctail for the price , poor service, just expected much more for the $90 + pp price, came accross cheaply done.
would not recommend and wont do again
Most of the food was pretty bland. There was a great amount of food, but I found it to be outrageously overpriced. Our server was very nice and attentive but did not emulate fine dining. The decor was ok, but I noticed SEVERAL spider webs in the corners and the windows of the atrium were filthy. Definitely not worth the price.
We have been to other brunches at Versailles before. This was the first time we attended for Mother’s Day. We had sticker shock when we saw the $85 per person price tag. In the past we have enjoyed brunch there for under $50 per person. There was not much in the way of breakfast brunch items, although our waitress nicely accommodated our son’s request for pancakes. I was also very disappointed that there was no fresh fruit. Definitely a disappointing experience overall- the staff was courteous and friendly- but seemed to be short handed. We will not come again.
Very nice place, good food but price was bit expensive for Mother’s Day lunch buffet.
Everything was perfect! Food was so delicious. Service was great. Definitely will be returning .
I felt the buffet was reasonably priced, however the food was less then desirable. It lacked flavor and looked like hospital food..
Great food, lovely ambience. Beautiful property. Will definitely go there again.
A very basic buffet nothing special. The place was not very busy and I can see why.
This is our second time there for their lunch. It's buffet style. Although the selection is not huge the quality is exceptional. The service is very attentive. We were helped by Elias both times and Alfredo also the second time. They were both some of the most professional waiters I have met in my lifetime of eating out.
it's great food but I wouldn't drive an hour just for the food? However, when you combine food and service, I would do it. It's nice to walk the grounds after lunch. relaxing for the whole family.
It was a nice place. The service was good. Honestly the food wasn't as extravagant was I thought which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Everything was different for my tastes but not in a bad way. Price was good and overall the experience was good. It was a Mother's Day gift for my wife and she loved everything about it so that 's a win in my book.
Is the best breakfast ever. The food was perfect the service is very nice. My Kids loved too. I'll come back soon
We have stayed here in the hotel and have visited the spa and Versailles too! The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious. The servers are helpful and very efficient. We have visited the restaurant for Christmas, graduation and Mother's Day as well as just for a "good meal!" The buffets are delicious whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner! Highly recommend!
Food was decent, but extremely overpriced.
Tries to be elegant (and prices reflect high-end), but falls well short. Food is average at best, servers try their best but are clearly under-trained, decor is dated and shabby.
Not even as good as nicer chain restaurant quality but charging way above that price range. Don't mind spending money on a great meal but this was nowhere close.
Good brunch with great service.
Well, it all comes down to the food. I felt was overpriced based on quality, flank steak over cooked, salmon and chicken just average, veggies were average. Prime Rib was fantastic! All in all it was an average meal at best for 4 guests at $240
The entree' presentation was a disappointment. Fried chicken was piled unto a dinner plate so small that it was impossible to eat it without it falling onto the table. The dessert was so frozen that we could not eat it. The chocolate ganache' tart should have been a delicious choice. We needed a sledge hammer to get a bite. Our waiter,Deepak, did not reappear so that we could ask for help.
Clearly our $208 plus a tip resulted in our disappointment and an embarrassment because we had brought along two of our best friends as guests.
We have had other wonderful experiences at the winery and wish we had gone there instead! My mistake.
