Verona Cucina Italiana Ratings and Reviews
This was the first time I had tried Verona Cucina. My son-in-law enjoyed the Sea Bass, my daughter her pasta, and I had one of the specials, Prime Rib. Service was very good and there was appropriate time between the salads and the entrees. Will definitely be back.
We were just getting to church at the House Modesto and being from Tracy wanted to make a reservation for dinner afterwards. I used the Open Table app and selected this restaurant.
It was a little difficult to find but our great experience started from the greeting of the hostess to the beautiful restaurant. I was a little leery that the restaurant was not packed on a Saturday night.
We ordered Bruschetta, clam chowder and the sea bass special. All were amazing. The tiramisu was also wonderful. Our waiter Jeff was perfect. Attentive, informative and the consummate professional.
Thank you Open Table for finding this great restaurant.
I've eaten at Verona's numerous times. The food is always very good and the chef will work with you on any modifications. This time I had a salad with heirloom tomatoes and faro, topped with goat cheese. I also had the halibut special.
There are numerous pasta dishes . Think most diners are repeat customers.
We have been coming to dinner here for nearly two years. Great food always nicely prepared and presented pleasant people , the hostess is so friendly, wait staff very professional and accommodating especially Paul. Very good value, we always come back. Keep up the good work.
We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were seated on time and the service was very good except we never got the bread. We got plates but no bread. Other than that the food was excellent. Nice menu selections and a nice variety of specials. I had the braised short ribs special and my wife had the scallop special. Both were very good. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion as it is a bit pricey.
When I booked the reservation, I wrote in the comments that we were celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgement of the occasion. Service was very slow. We waiting an extensive time to be seated and a long wait to order drinks. The special was good but overpriced for the portion and not much flavor. My husband loves Italian food but he does not like mushrooms and almost everything on the entree selections included mushrooms. We used to frequent Veronas occasionally but our satisfaction has decreased.
Staff was underwhelming. Lacked attention. Far too infrequent visits to our table. Asked for water twice and barely got 1 refill. Forgot a 2nd Peroni my dad had ordered and charged us for my mom's dessert (75th birthday dinner - I made mention of this on the resv. AND called in advance to let them know). The server even mentioned happy birthday to her!
Food superb and authentically prepared, service excellent and the price very reasonable. The ambience and decor was modern not too much to my liking although the music was very well chosen in line with classical and in the "background". The clientele, two large groups (6 to 10) were noisy. It seems they were more interested in having fun and it didn't matter if others dinning liked it or not. It seems politeness has all but disappeared with the "selfish" generation.
