We were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. Food was very well prepared. Service was good but slow. Was not offered refills on our drinks (non alcoholic), other than water.

Verona's is an excellent example of fine dining in Modesto. We appreciate their willingness to address personal tastes and, with some notice even serve favorite dishes no longer on their menu. Verona's continues to be a favorite with us.

Food and service were excellent, but really skimped on the food. I left hungry and everything is "extra".

Not the best experience we’ve had here.. to start, from the time we were seating it took 15 min before we got water and drink orders taken. We ordered the bread plate with drinks and it was another 20 min before we received the bread and drinks. The bread plate was supposed to include sourdough baguette and focaccia and oil/vinegar, all we were given was sourdough and had to ask and wait another 10 min for the oil/vinegar. It took another 15+ min before our order was taken. My wife ordered a salad to eat before dinner, it took another 15 min for the salad to show up. Finally after almost an hour from the time we sat down we got our food.. my wife’s entree was great, but mine on the other hand not so mush.. I’m not a picky eater by any means, but the one thing I dislike is bell peppers and my mushroom raviolis were covered in them.. no mention of that when we were told the specials!! That was just the icing on a not so good evening for me. I can looked past the bell peppers and I was able to work around them and enjoy my dinner, but I can’t get past the service and long waits for everything. I do not blame this on our server at all she was doing her best, but she was running her butt off and taking care of probably 15-20 tables it seemed. She was not to blame and I made sure to leave her a generous tip for her efforts.. I blame Verona management.. they were clearly understaffed and the staff they did have were working as hard as they could but just couldn’t keep up.. do better Verona management.. this is not the experience returning customers want after coming back to you after lockdown!

Food was excellent, service a bit slow, granted was a busy Friday, atmosphere was nice, we sat in an outdoor covered area, nicely done.
Will do it again.

We celebrated a Birthday and were happy to find an open resturant for dinning in. We loved all thr food and service just though some of the menu items were a bit exspensive. Overall qe have a wonderful time.

We have been to veronas a few times and have had a great experience every time. The brick chicken was the special and did not disappoint!! Service is always very classy and ideal for a date.

Despite COVID, Verona’s kitchen remains reliable, with dining in the outside patio (enclosed by a wall, and heating lamps provide comfort).

Food was awesome and service was the best! Highly recommend! Heaters on the patio! It was perfect!
