Excellent service, very friendly. Steak a bit overdone, fantastic sauce on steak, side veg. dish really good. Chicken Abruzzi very good. Plan to bring friends for dinner. Our first time so not too much to comment on as to above. Coconut shrimp very yummy and different from other prep.
Was here with friends and we were able to talk and enjoy the food. Service was good as was food.
Although this is an Italian restaurant, I found the choices varied enough to please any pallet. The service was quick. Food was great.
For an Italian establishment emphasizing its home made processes, I was more than a little disappointed with their Stuffed Shells in marinara. The meal truly reminded me of store bought stuffed shells, with minimum ricotta used, and surprisingly bland. The Sauce reminded me of my....RAGU! The meat balls seemed to have just a bit too much filler (bread product). On the other side, their Abruzzi Chicken was excellent! A very sizable meal with properly sautéed chicken in a brandy cream sauce that was very pleasant and not at all overpowering garnished with fresh asparagus. SERVICE (Kyle) was exceptional. Very attentive and not intrusive. It was the service that we will remember and the reason we will return.....to give the pasta another shot!
We shared the Aunty Babs' meatball appetizer, which was most wonderful, as well as the Italian Wedding Soup (loaded and wonderfully spiced). Then, hubby enjoyed the apple pecan salad with chicken, and I had the Venetian Salad, for our main dishes. Both were huge and really excellent. Highly recommend all of it!
We picked this blindly from Open Table reviews while travelling in Wilmington. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was a bit out of the way from where we were staying, but worth the drive!
I came here with my wife and 2 children a few weeks ago and we were very impressed with the food and with the story of the owner whom we spoke with when he stopped at our table. That is something that I love in a restaurant, when the manager/owner takes the time to check on you. Anyway, the food was outstanding and our server was fantastic. This visit we had Jessi, and she was also extremely attentive and pleasant and also took the time to make sure we were happy. The first time I was here I would have rated the ambience at maybe a 3-4, but this time they really stepped up their game with table cloths on all tables and nice candle lit dinner, simply amazing. You must try this gem!
Not happy about the experience we had. Service took very long. There was only one waiter and 6 tables. My table alone had 6 people. Food was not the greatest. Everything had a charred taste to it, even my sautéed spinach. How does that happen? My sister had to send her food back back because it wasn't good. I will not be going back. I saw they have been under new management this past year. It's ashame because the restraunt has gone down hill since.
I was here again, this time on a very busy night and I was just as impressed, if not more impressed than the first time I tried this restaurant under the new management. This is an outstanding restaurant.
I didn't like that they put us in ballroom and I made reservations. We had Jason he perked up when it was tip time. Our food came out slow. 2 hours start to finish. Got tiramisu...watered down. Had better from Acme.
Went for Valentine's dinner specifically because they advertised live music. When we arrived, the mother/daughter team was very flustered. We were seated in the Paradise Room, which had no view of the live music. It took a very long time for our waiter to arrive. Each time the waiter came to our table, he apologized because everything was slow and repeated over and over that things were "crazy." I'd think that if they were booked solid, as they mentioned, they would provide the appropriate number of staff members. Food was just okay. My sauce was watery and my husband's chicken was watery as well. All and all, it was a disappointment for Valentine's Day. Go to Mrs. Robino's in the city instead. I've never had a bad meal there in 20 years.
We had a reservation for 7 p.m. but really we didn't need it, the place was empty. Service was great, our waitress couldn't have been nicer. There was a guy singing Sinatra songs but we felt so bad for him, he was great but was singing to a big empty room. Everything we ordered was really good and very reasonably priced, portions were generous. All in all we couldn't understand why the place wasn't packed, not sure if something awful happened there that just the locals know about but we'll definitely go back. Maybe with a bigger crowd to fill the place up.
Great buffet, we decided on this restarunt based n our previous experience's. The food was great, the music was a pleasnt surprise. The service was good and attentive. Great time, good food, will do it again!
We found this restaurant thru opentable and I am going to tell you that I don't know if I have had better marinara sauce anywhere. The food was quite simply amazing, the servers were extremely friendly and went out of their way for you, even though most are young. It was my anniversary and my wife and I were so impressed we intend to take our kids here for dinner this week! You must try this restaurant.
Service was attentive and excellent. The food was acceptable but not the best. Overcooked pasta and shrimp, flat soda. Chicken was very good as well as the sandwich. Odd that an italian restaurant overcooks basic pasta. Service made up for it!
Great service and food!! Had a wonderful lunch with my co workers here. They were extremely accomodating and understanding to our very large party!
Coconut shrimp and crab cakes were delicious as was the wedding soup. Portions were large enough for a take home bag. Booths are a little outdated.
Relaxing, quiet and romantic atmosphere. Attentive staff. Fresh made and very good flavors. Chef asked if anything wasn't to our liking and talked with us a while. Friendly place.
Second time here and no improvement. Good food, poor service. Unwiped tables with spots and rings from previous drinks. Some had tablecloths, many did not. Not set up for FRIDAY night diners. Disorganized management. Seemingly no sections or host/hostess. Young, unknowledgeable staff. Squatted tableside to take order. Slow, 25 min for salad arrival after placing order. Beer tap broken, no draft. No glass for bottled beer. Delicious entrees but parmesean in a shaker is for pizza, not a decent entrée. Kitchen does its job. Management needs to instruct and guide staff to SERVE the product for a great dining experience.
The Chicken Lamberti was tender and flavorful even though I ordered it without cheese.
The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Food portions were large, almost too large. Food was decent. Chef/owner was friendly. Pasta dish billed as "pacheri" was really rigatoni. Some tables had table cloths, others did not. It would be nice if all had table cloths. Wait staff was good. The general atmosphere was good and pleasant. The outside "patio" overlooked a parking lot. It was not inviting: no plants, white lights, etc. It would have been nice to have eaten outside in a pleasant space.
Overall, this restaurant has great potential, in large part because of the atmosphere, wait staff, and concerned chef. It sill has a ways to go. However, do not exclude it from your choices. Give it a try. I think they may improve over time.
Beautiful restaurant, very clean and cozy. Food was delicious, wonderful service. The servers make you feel at home. First visit, very nice experience.
When I arrived there were only 2 couples dinning in. The waiter didn't stop by our table for about 15 mins after initial seating. He seemed to not know his menu when we asked questions. We finally placed an appetizer and it didn't come out correctly. When we finally got the opportunity to order our lunch (25 minutes later) my food was over cooked! Who wants to eat tough chicken. Also the salmon was dry.
