The steaks were over cooked with a crunchy charred coating. The table by the door was very uncomfortable. Just not a great experience.
Good food slow service would recommend to others. Pricey
table cloths were sloppy, tables too wide, no flowers or candles....food was very good and service very attentive
Early dining is a great value. The petite filet for twenty four dollars is well seasoned and grilled perfectly. I love this place.
My husband had the pork ribeye and he said it was the finest piece of meat he has ever eaten! I had the filet and it was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. This was our first time and we will be back.
We've lived in Vero for four years now and had never visited Vero Prime, but were aware of it's good reputation. We had a fabulous dinner earlier this week - food was great, drinks outstanding and service was top notch. We'll be back for sure!!
We love Vero Prime. We tried early dining and food and service was great. We try to dine here every couple of months, wonderful for summer dining, too.
First time at Vero Prime. The meal, service from Corey and atmosphere were great. We definitely will be back. The choice of signature steak was excellent.
First time at Vero Prime. Overall it was excellent.
The four of us dined for our 53rd wedding anniversary. We we given a complimentary champagne for toasting. Our waiter was excellent, everyone's food was so good. One of the top restaurants in Vero Beach. Will return!!
Always a nice experience, I just don't get over to you guys enough. Been busy; looking forward to sreing guy's more in the future. Maybe sitting at the bar, to enjoy that moment. Chaz
It was so noisy the server had to scream to tell us the specials. I frequent the restaurant but this was the worst noise level ever. We couldn't carry on a conversation without leaning over the table to be heard.
Absolutely delicious food . Highly recommended
Great waitress named Stuart
Reliable local steakhouse. The quality of the meat is good, as is the preparation. The Berkshire pork chop is superb. Some of the sides are sub-par. Bar scene is generally lively. Ambiance is casual but not sloppy beach-goer attire. Reservations on line are a plus. If you're in the area and crave some meat (or seafood) give it a shot.
Great experience! Everyone was very nice & attentive! Meal was delicious but the asparagus could have used some spices! We were there for a 65th Birthday celebration.
They treated the Birthday girl to a free dessert of her choice! Desserts were delicious! Corey was a fabulous server! Will go back!
Vero Prime—the good, the bad, and the ugly. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated promptly. Our waitress quickly greeted us and took our drink orders. Our bottle of wine appeared with water and bread shortly after we were seated, and our waitress said she would be back to take our food orders after we looked at the menu. When she returned, she said she had some bad news. Their grill wasn’t working and all grill items were being pan cooked. Of course, my husband was chomping at the bit for a “wood fired” dry aged rib eye that he’s had before and was very disappointed. He felt we should have been given this bad news before we were even seated or at least before we ordered our wine. Our waitress recommended he order the prime rib special that night, so he did. Another person in our party went ahead and ordered the pan cooked filet mignon, even though he, too, was disappointed it wouldn’t be wood fired. Also, I passed on the Caesar salad normally grilled (which I like) because it was being served cold, but our dining companions ordered it anyway. Now for the ugly...about a half hour after placing our order (8:00 dinner reservation and it was now 9:00), the hostess (manager? owner?) came to our table to ask my husband what else he wanted to order because they were out of Prime Rib! At first, I honestly thought she was kidding. My very annoyed husband said, “You’re telling me this now? Why don’t I order something that doesn’t have to be cooked, the steak tartare.” And that was all he wanted at this point. To their credit, we were comped our bottle of wine, and I didn’t see my husband’s steak tartare on the check. Overall, everyone agreed the food was just ok. Along with another diner in our party, I had the crab cake special. I also had the artichoke franchese. Nothing was outstanding, but our opinion of the food could be tainted by an experience that left a bad taste in our mouths!
The crab cakes and salad were nothing special, but who throws down over $100 for that? Dinner entrees were very good. I ordered the sirloin tips stroganoff and my fiance ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were very good and the key lime pie was phenomenal!! The carrot cake we thought had too much frosting.
We had a very good dinner. Unfortunately, however, a power outage before we arrived caused the grill fan not to operate so there were no grilled items on the menu available. We were able to find alternatives though and enjoyed our meal.
The noise level in our dining room was unusually high because there was a table of 6 celebrating. Next time we will asked to be seated in a room without large tables in order to keep the noise down.
We are never disappointed! This our go to spot for guests!
I enjoy their homemade bread pudding. The preparation and presentation of the food makes the taste great. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent - too bad we didn’t hear about your restaurant until the end of three months here. God willing we will be back next year, and look forward to another fantastic meal.
P.S.: We arrived in a torrential downpour, and a nice touch was when the waiter brought us towels!!!
Great food and service; the sirloin was cooked perfectly and crusty chicken was delicious
Bad table. Alita refused to improve table even with better open tables throughout dinner. Steak wad over cooked. Won’t go back.
Ordered rib eye steaks and they were prepared just perfect.
Only problem is that there was no decent club soda available ( e.g. Peligrino, Perrier etc) to mix with my cocktail (Scotch), only gave me club soda through the "gun" which is mixed with local water and tastes terrible and ruined my drink. Was told the water is filtered, but it wasn't. Food excellent, esp. short rib lasagna (we were Avanzare regulars for 10 years)
Our visit was wonderful! We enjoyed the food immensely!
We will definitely be returning. Our waitress Bridget was lovely.
Not to focus on the negative but service at the bar is what I would consider less than exceptional. We were invisible for at least 10 minutes before having to walk down to where the male bartender was and asked for service to be greeted by what appeared to be an annoyed look. There were two and the female completely ignored us and actually left the bar area after walking by us numerous times. The dining experience was spectacular. Our server, Dave, was terrific. Very congenial and patient. Food was outstanding, Great rib eye for myself, all in our party enjoyed their meals completely.
The steaks were excellent, as were the grilled Caesars and brussel sprouts. The only downside was that one steak was overdone, although they corrected it very quickly and were very gracious and apologetic about it. They also brought a complementary shrimp cocktail while I waited. The glasses of red wine were a little expensive, but they were outstanding.
This was my second visit “benefit of the doubt “, not coming back
Caught the early bird special before a show. $16-20 for 2 courses, with rolls, and a side. Reasonable entrees that include burgers, steak sandwich, salmon, ribs, and small filet.
The petit filet had a small upcharge , but was done perfectly. My husband had the ribs which was a healthy portion. He thought they were just okay. Lobster bisque needed some sherry and some lobster in it. The wedge salad was another choice which had ample blue cheese crumbles.
Our first visit. It was just okay. The lobster bisque had absolutely no lobster in it, the house steak was good, the twice baked potato just okay. My husband and I were not overly impressed.
We visited Vero Prime as a party of 3 on a Thursday night. All of us were very pleased with our meal. The pompano special was delicious (side dishes average). My father really enjoyed the veal dish. Our only disappointment was the service. Drinks and appetizers came in a timely fashion but our entrees took way too long. Our waitress was very nice but we were not offered any explanation or apology for the delay. That being said, I would return and hope for better service.
Everything was awesome! So glD to find some Avanzere favorites.
Ate at the bar with a friend. Best bar in Vero Beach. Super attentive bartenders. Big screen with golf tournament. Great bar menu. Food is outstanding. Look forward to my next visit. Try the lamb lollipops or prime rib sliders, or wedge salad or broiled calamari and shrimp. Also the prime filet.
First time there. Went to the Early Bird dining. Great servers, good portion sizes, and delicious steak ! We will be going again!
Great dinner. We went for the early bird special. Fabulous food for a great price.
The food is delicious and always cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Vero Prime.
I had the dry rub aged rib eye. It was ok. I’ve had better rib eye at Carrabba’s for half the price. The steak could have been more tender. The sides were great. I just expected more from a “prime” steak house.
