Jolene is one of the best bartenders in vero beach! Food and everything service including dinning room are eccemment
This was mine and my husband's second time dining at Vero Prime. It was absolutely delicious the first time and did not disappoint a second time. A few of the dishes we have had: prime rib, Parmesan crusted salmon, and caramel and sea salt cheesecake. Ahhh, if I could afford to have a personal chef I'd want them to be from this restaurant ;)
We've lived in Vero Beach for 1 year now, and have always had Vero Prime on our to-do list regarding trying new restaurants. The ambiance and service was excellent, but the food definitely did not live up to our expectations; especially considering the price tags. My wife's prime rib was decent but not special and not as good as we've had at a lower price point. My porterhouse was cooked correctly, but seasoned poorly. There was also an overpowering lemon flavor that distracted from what seemed like a quality cut of meat. Based on our experience, I do not recommend Vero Prime. There are many restaurants offering better fare with far less damage to your wallet.
The atmosphere is great it has great lighting for romantic date but our table was wobbly my husband said something to our waitress she said she would let somebody know so they could come and fix it but nobody came then when she brought my tea It had two cracks in the glass for a newer restaurant I would expect things to be maintained better. I ordered the Vero prime signature steak and it was OK nothing special for the price but for dessert I ordered the chocolate paradise and that was the highlight of my dinner it was chocolate perfection
Our food and side dishes were marginal . We regularly dine at restaurants in that price and we are accustomed to them providing food that is very good and presented well. What a disappointment! We will not return.
We had a very enjoyable dinner, having the Wood-Fired grilled ribeye steak with cheddar macaroni and cheese mashed potatoes. The second entree was the fillet medallions with mushroom risotto in a wonderful beef reduction sauce.
The macaroni and cheese portion was small but adequate and the mashed potatoes were not made with butter or cream. The filet was not grilled and this was a disappointment because it would have accented the flavors of the mushroom risotto.
We also ordered dessert. The bread pudding was a total disappointment and the most expensive item on the dessert menu. It seemed that the chef had simply used honey buns and crumb cakes from the local gas station was awful as a Yankee I appreciate my bread puddings. II desert a little tart of key lime pie was very delicious however the sugar was still crystallized.
Overall we did enjoy our meal and the atmosphere the bar is separate from the dining room and it seemed that those in the bar were having a grand time. One enters the bar through the entrance on the east side of the building.
So we give this place a try again I'm knowing that the medallions were not grilled over the wood fire we would request that they do so.
We would also skip the dessert unless they find a new pastry chef.
Don't go here. Poor quality steaks. Poor non attentive service. Expensive but poor value.
The service and food were excellent. The early seating at 5 p.m. is an exceptional value. The service is welcoming, enthusiastic, cheerful, and best of all competent. Meal was very tasty, well presented, and portions were generous.
We will be back.
I am never one to leave reviews, as I am a restaurant manager myself. I know more than anyone that sometimes restaurants have days worse than others, and I happened to go on a day they weren't at their best. I was highly recommended by a friend to go for a date just the other day, I knew it was expensive but I figured it would be worth it. We arrived at 7:20 for a 7:30 reservation and were seated immediately, a friendly server came over shortly after and took our drink order. By 7:50 we had recieced our appetizers and placed our order for our meal. Ribeye rare with a lobster tail and a Fillet Minon medium with truffle fries and other sides for us to share. By 8:20, we were still waiting for our food. The waitress, whom had been very attentive from the beginning, finally came and apologized for the wait saying there were a few parties (which we saw arrive after we had placed our entree order) and the kitchen was a bit backed up. I was surprised that a manager had not come over to let us know our food would be out soon. Our food was out by 8:45, and everything was perfect except the Fillet was cooked rare, rather than medium. I was not asked to cut into the steak to check the temp, which surprised me, so I waiting until around 8:55 when I was able to get the waitresses attention (as she had a full section) to have it up cooked. By 9:05 my steak came back and it was medium well if not well, but I did not want to complian anymore. We paid our bill, which was $150 or so dollars, I left a $32 dollar tip. We lingered for a few moments, hoping a manager would just touch the table and give an apology or ask how things had been (if he had not been informed). I guess I'm just disappointed, and I wish a manager had just stopped by. I don't say this because I wanted anything off the bill, if I had I would have asked to speak to one, it would have been nice to have someone apologize for our meal taking over an hour to come out.
I may try them again, but we shall see.
Always nice food and choices of vegetables and salads. Love that they are serving grass fed beef.
Always love to go to Prime! NEVER disappointed. They are on the spot food wise.
Glad to have a top place to go in little Vero Beach.
One of Vero's crowded seasonal restaurants...I enjoy their summer reduced menu....and the fact that locals can reclaim one of Vero's better restaurants.
Great steakhouse!!! The food was exactly what we were looking for. We had a filet and lobster tail that was cooked perfectly!! We'd definitely recommend it and will be coming back again.
Lady in Front was a doll. So was our waitress, The rolls were good and hot. My Mini Lobster Roll Appetizer was delicious, but did not love crabcakes. It was a steak house, but they were out of the 4 steaks my husband wanted. It is a Steak House? It was only 8:30pm on a Friday. The place was dead. The prime rib came out very very fatty. They were nice enough to give my husband a thicker cut and have the fat trimmed. We have been to other Steak Houses in New York, Orlando etc. This was not a Steak House. More a local restaurant. Again the Lady is front was a sweetheart. She Came by several times to make sure we were okay. The waitress was great too. Maybe it was just a bad night. Maybe we misjudged by thinking it was a steakhouse. Not very happy when we left.
Not very impressed! Got the aged Rib-eye and thought very tasteless. I have had better steak at a local seafood restaurant. (Steak is not even their specialty!)
We have visited this restaurant many times and have always had a great experience. On our last visit the food and service were truly outstanding.
Very good steaks and salads and excellent service. The only suggestion is to improve the quality and choice of desserts
Food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The waitress was exceptional and very knowledgeable. It was a little hot where we were seated but that could be because we were by the glass doors to the outside. Certainly wouldn't prevent a return trip. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food and great service! We will be returning to Vero Prime.
Dinner started out good with a delicious salad then came the dinner. My steak was decent but the twice baked potato reminded me of being frozen and nuked very dry. My friend could not eat her steak as it was grissley a complete waste of $22.00.
Always really delicious food and excellent, attentive service. All of us ordered the Filet, so good, worth every penny and perfectly prepared!
Highly recommend this restaurant. Roger, the owner, has done a great job.
Food is wonderful and the staff is the best
My wife and I went celebrate our 11th anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was not. We went early at 5:15 and the restaurant was not very busy. Our waitress was un-engaging and seemed shakey and overwhelmed. We had to wait too long in between ordering drinks and dessert. My wife ordered a bottle of prosecco and ending up asking to keep it at the table because the waitress would walk by and not fill her glass. This was frustrating but overall we enjoyed our experience.
Good was cold and average. Service was slow. Wouldn't recommend.
This place is quite unassuming from the outside but it had great reviews on Open Table so we decided to try it when vacationing in Vero Beach. While the wine list wasn't extensive, it had plenty of nice choices and best of all only a modest mark up on the price of bottles. Our steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. Seriously, order the onion rings!!
My wife had asked about this resturant a few times and we decided to try it. Well worth it, the meal and service was great. We will make sure we go again.
Best steak ever. A little expensive but worth the money. Great for special occasions. Would recommend to anyone.
Pros: Four of us went for dinner; two ordered the lamb--fabulous--perfectly cooked--served as 3 huge chops; one ordered the signature steak--she said it was very good, perfetly cooked and tender; and the other ordered a ribeye--said it was a little overdone around the edges but the center was perfect; indicated steak was a bit chewy. Accompaniments were deconstructed baked potato (baked potato taken apart, meat mixed with chives, sour cream, and skin was flash fried, then re-assembled--very tasty; brussel sprouts with bacon; sauteed spinach with garlic and lemon (different and very good); fire-grilled romaine; and onion rings--no complaints!!! One of the diners had the house salad (greens, walnuts, goat cheese, tomatoes with a vinaigrette), which was very good and the other had a special appetizer, grouper bites (bites of lighty battered fresh grouper) served with a remoulade. All in all a very good meal. Our server, Dave, was outstanding! Location, just west of Miracle Mile on US 1, is very convenient, as is parking, but it isn't a huge lot. The restaurant is attractive, white tablecloths, brick walls, nice banquettes--upscale ambiance.
Cons: They are reluctant to give you much sauce, even when you pay extra for it; several side dishes were wrong, but they quickly brought out the right ones. Lighting is not great--restaurant is dim and then around 8pm they dim the lights even more--great for romance but not so much for a group of friends out for a farewell dinner; a bit hard to see your plate too! The prices are expensive for a "steakhouse"- I paid for a (medium-priced) bottle of wine, 1 appetizer, 1 side salad, and 2 lamb meals, plus tax & tip--it cost me $186.
Suggest folks peruse the menu online, look at the prices, and then decide whether to go or not.
Dinner for 7 on college grad night. Everything was done superbly. Food right, service right, wine right, just an overall great meal and time.
Service was fine but the Ribeye at $34 was rubber and about 1/4 inch thick - looked like something from Dennys - I ate it and didn't complain but food wasn't in line for a white table cloth -
Having driven by this restaurant numberous times - we decided to use open table make week night a reservation.
We opted for the early bird menu. I chose the strip steak with a first course of the grilled cesaer salad. And yes, they do offer anchovies, if you ask. My husband ordered the salmon and as the first course ordered the soup. Each of our first course items did not disappoint.
We received attentive service.
I did notice that towards the end of our meal, I think it may have been a dining room manager, circulating about the restaurant, stopping by the tables of other diners, She acknowledged their presence and also mentioned that she recognized several couples as having previously dined at Vero Prime. She walked right past our table and without introducing herself to us. Although I didn't think of this as a snub, as a courtesy I feel it is important to acknowledge each table.
We will consider dining here again and encourage friends to join us.
This was our third visit to Vero Prime. The food was delicious and prepared to our specifications. The quality of the steaks rivals Morton's, Ruth Chris, etc. Our waitress was polite but not engaging.
This place was awesome! Very unique flavor to the steaks.
Went to celebrate special occasion ordered the filet mignon it was cooked to perfection and was delicious. Service was great. Very attentive and friendly staff.
Sorry to say but we won't be going here again. The last several times the food was disappointing and this time it was awful. Nothing prime about their food. Steaks were burnt on the outside and tough. The hash brown potatoes were just warm and a little burnt on the top. The ambiance is great but don't think we'll be going back.
Food at Vero Prime was very good. Our waitress was very accommodating. However I ordered Calves Liver and it was 10-15 minutes after we ordered that our waitress came back and said they are out of Liver. You would think they would have known that much earlier.
Our waitress as I said was very accomodating and gave us a round of drinks as an apology. Also, my wife ordered a Pinot Noir and we are sure she got a Cabernet savignion
My rating was based on the poor communication between the wait staff and the kitchen.
I will definitely try again as the food was very good and the waitress very nice.
What a disappointment!!!!! Took our mother for her 79th b-day. We asked for a great table for the b-day and they said best they had. Well they stuck us in the back of the restaurant in a corner were we stared at the wall. Our steaks were ordered as medium and can out blood dripping raw. Sent them back come out 2 minutes later charred and still raw inside. Decided to eat them anyway--so much fat it was gross. And we paid for PRIME. Baked potatoes were only cooked half way and very crunchy. Not what we expected for $50 steaks. I would never go there again or recommend it to my friends.
Food was excellent. Had filet and it was very tender and flavorful. Grilled Caesar salad was excellent. Waitress was on top of things.
Steak House that had no short ribs or dry aged beef as advertised on menu. Order came with wrong two sides although steak was cooked to proper temperature. Have eaten there several times but last couple have not been as good as previously.
