Chef Jenny believes strongly in the importance of fresh, healthy food while supporting the local community and strives to create flavourful inspired cuisine using quality ingredients sourced from a variety of trusted local producers. Featured small plates include house made veal meatballs, Baby Calamari Frito with kaffir lime aioli and the Signature Sweet Potato Gnocchi with wild boar bacon and gorgonzola, as well as more substantial offerings, such as Steak & Frites-New York steak with chimichurri butter, truffle parmesan frites, and the signature 'Seafood Platter.' Breakfast items such as wild boar bacon & prawn benny served on top of a fresh baked croissant with hand whipped hollandaise and the French Toast Brulee with hazelnut praline, passionfruit.

Went for dinner with some girlfriends and had a pleasant evening. We shared the charcuterie board which was very nice. I few of us had the steak frites and were not impressed. The steak itself had almost no flavour. The sauce was ok and it was seared nicely but a good quality beef will have more flavour. If I didn’t know I was eating steak, I wouldn’t be able to tell by the taste. And I can’t understand why a chef would serve a steak on top of the fries. Needless to say half the fries ended up soggy. Please serve the fries BESIDE the steak! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The hostess is unfriendly and barely gives you a glance or hello before seating.
Outstanding dinner from Chef Jenny. Last recent memorable meals were Paris and New York, and this is a gem. Source of quality products, attention to detail absolutely impeccable. Service was wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Absolutely loved it, Stephen.
I don't even want to tell you how good Vero Bistro is! It was hard enough to get a reservation, but if I really tell you how great our evening was, it will be even harder to get in. We went on a Tuesday and had the 3 course prix fixe menu. The price was reasonable, the food was out of this world and the "extras" that they brought us were so unexpected and appreciated. From the Amuse Bouche at the beginning to the macaroons at the end, this was a meal to remember.
The food was amazing and the service was excellent, the wine recommendation was excellent. my only complaint is the service was very fast, our amazing empty appetizers dishes had hardly left the table when i said to my girlfriend “ i hope they give us some time to digest” bang main course was served.. But will go back for sure.
Glad we made a reservation, as it was quite busy with people waiting in line. The food was exceptional - tasty, local ingredients, good portion sizes. I ordered a side of bacon, and it was the best bacon I've ever had. Would highly recommend.
The service was very good. The only reason I didn't provide 5* was due to them being short-staffed.
All the food of the "la panarda" event on Christmas Eve was amazing, lots of flavor and plentiful, to my regret we couldn't finish it all but we took home the left overs, Jodie was excellent as a waitress and her recommendation of red wine was on point, i would definitely go back
We went for a Saturday brunch. Montreal Benny and Vero traditional were very good. Especially the sause to the salad. Gnochi were OK (a bit too salty to my taste). Tiramisu was home-made and fresh. Overall, I like this place and will definitely be back.
P.S. It's a tough area to find a parking, so plan accordingly.
It was a wonderful time we spent. Every visit to this resturant has been consistent with its quality of food and presentation topped with very receptive welcoming service . I would choose to come to this place over and over and every time there is a new sparkle .
My favorite restaurant in Calgary. Excellent food. Our server is very professional with excellent customer service. 3 course lunch menu for $25 is unbeatable price with the quality of food and choice that they provide. Chef Jenny ROCK!
Loved the menu. They had a special truffle menu when we were there and we loved the items. The sweet potato gnocchi was also wonderful as always. We find the food unique and interesting. Service is excellent and even called me when I left my hat there.
