Seated efficiently, thanks to OT. Very polite server, great view, one of the chairs at my table was quite stained. Great selection: biscuits n gravy, peppered bacon, omelets 2 order, grits 2 order-purple no less. Nice prime rib, mild horseradish, sweets for the heavy eaters. Priced 2 sell.
More things available than I mentioned, will return as I am local and appreciated the FREE PARKING.
Had a wonderful meal with wonderful service. Recommend for date night, foodies, etc.
Food was great. We had the brunch. Great variety.
The food was amazing as always. You can tell the culinary staff really enjoy what they do.
Can't wait to try the other brunch themes!
Average restaurant, good but not great. Service was below average, although not terrible.
We love coming here and I Highly recommend it. Great value for the price and live music.
The food was great BUT our Father’s Day reservation was at 2pm and at 235, a staff member came around to tell us that they close at 2 and if you want more food, you better go get it because they are putting it away. We were a party of 6 and would have preferred a more relaxed brunch instead of feeling rushed.
There was a band there and they were great but our table was right by the speaker making it quite difficult to have a conversation.
Probably not going back for a special occasion.
Food and server were good but we were practically the only ones in the restaurant and it still took over 2 hours!
Good as always. Missed Kelly since he was out of the "office". Lou did a great job. They were busy and he was running his tail off. Chef Roy came to our table to visit. Lily was busy and smiling as usual.
If you go here there is no parking. None. You have to pay $15 in the convention center parking lot. Also, they don’t say on the open table that this is in the Marriott lobby. Won’t be going back. Food was ok. Service was ok. But not worth the parking.
We had dinner reservations at a close Italian restaurant. My wife suggested we just stay at the hotel and eat at Vernon's. Best decision ever, great food, service and the young man playing music was unbelievable! Great night and memories!
The restaurant is lovely with great views of the grounds. The server, Barbara, was EXCELLENT! We were a party of five, two made vegan request and were very pleased with their meals. Two ordered from the menu and one had the special, we were all extremely pleased with our meals.
It was a wonderful dinner and experience and we all loved every second.
Not very good
My husband and I go to Vernon's all the time. We love it there. The staff are great. The food is great. It's normally fairly quiet and we are able to talk without having to yell across the table to the others, which makes it easy to visit with our friends and family when we take them there. Kelly, Lou, Alban and Mabrook (spelling?) are excellent waiters. Lily is one of the ladies that works at the front desk and fills in with clearing dishes, bringing water and bringing bread. She is friendly and helpful to the waiters and customers. Juliana is always smiling and is happy to see us when we arrive. The food is always great and we even get to see Chef Roy when he is there working. He is always friendly and visits our table if he's not too busy with running the kitchen or an event at Sawgrass Marriott.
Went to Vernon’s for brunch - the hostess was kind of rude and uninviting but I gave it a shot anyway, and am so glad I did! The brunch buffet was absolutely amazing; literally everything I tried was the best ever. My waitress was awesome and very attentive, totally making up for the hostess. Could not speak more highly of Vernon’s!
The staff were great and the food was perfect. The live musical duo was a nice touch as well.
Great atmosphere, excellent food and customer service, will definitely be back and recommend to others!
Mother’s Day brunch buffet cost was $50, almost double what a normal Sunday brunch would be. Unfortunately it wasn’t worth it. The chef tried to make everything too fancy (lemon ricotta pancakes, purple rice grits) but this “gourmet” buffet missed the mark. The plain pancakes on the hotel guest buffet were great, but they were taken away. There was an omelette station but no eggs benedict. There were peel & eat shrimp but no crab legs. The one free mimosa (moms only) was 90% orange juice. Come on, for $50 at least pour unlimited bubbly. Alban was an attentive and prompt server, and another pro was the crepe bar and the delicious tomahawk ribeye at the carving station. The electric keyboard soloist was just okay and took long breaks. A string quartet would have been nicer. Basically an expensive so-so experience. Will not return.
We went to Mother’s Day breakfast. Food was great but waiter never took our order assuming we all wanted the buffet. My wife didn’t want the buffet but the waiter never came back. Reluctantly my wife went up the buffet as her order was never taken. Thankfully they didn’t charge her for her meal and made it right. Just wish this didn’t happen on Mother’s Day. Service needs to be better, otherwise it’s a nice restaurant.
When I made the reservation I thought it was for brunch. Reservation was for 945 am and we were told as we were sitting down that Brunch was at 11 and we had the breakfast menu or buffet. The food was empty the whole time we were there! The little bit of eggs were cold, nothing was stocked and kept being told that more was coming out. We constantly had to ask Our service was terrible and our waitress was very verbal about how busy she was( and she was sweating profusely ) I had 3 kids with us, youngest being 10 and was charged as all adults. My bill was $173, of course 18% gratuity was added. So disappointed and it was my Mother’s Day treat to go out for brunch.
It was very peaceful and the food was fantastic. Staff was polite and knowledgeable.
This is the best brunch I've ever had, we were able to sit in a private room which was so peaceful. Our party still enjoyed all the activities available, great kids craft table & music. The food is always stellar so many choices and bottomless mimosas were an awesome deal! Highly recommend.
The waiter was AWFUL! I have never complained in this but he was terrible. Probably don’t go back. We didn’t even stay to eat.
Service was absolutely wonderful. Food was very good.
The distance of the Restrooms from the Restaurant was very discouraging & disappointing, as it was quite a long walk for someone that was not able to walk very well. The food @ the Buffet was very good & there appeared to be a good selection of food choices also. The music was a bit loud & the TV in the room that we were in was not able to show the Masters Golf Tournament, which really disappointed the golfers in our party - they ended up having to watch the tournament on their phones @ the table. I would probably not return to this Restaurant due to the distance & location of the Restrooms from the Restaurant area.
It is a very nice restaurant all around! We had great service and great food.
The only thing that bugged me was the limited nice seating. Although it is a beautiful restaurant it shows that the designers forgot the diners experience. There are many tables that are in the way.
Excellent food and outstanding service!
Had a work group dinner here recently, party of 8. Excellent fresh food, great wine selection, and good variety of seafood and steaks. Highly recommend the grouper. It was delicious. This would be a great location for a date night as well. Great views and superb atmosphere.
Food is awesome! Service is great. Variety of menu is good but could use a few more entree items.
Would highly recommend!
We come every year for the players and luckily the last two years have had Lou as the server. They condensed their menu since last year but our steaks were fantastic! Thank you Lou and see you next year!
Excellent food & service
Super kid-friendly, delicious food, hot coffee and always full mimosa glasses. Server Albana was fabulous!
Beautiful dining room with views of the lagoon. Parking at the Marriott was valet and complimentary. Service was excellent as was the dinner. I enjoyed the large sea scallops prepared with a sweet potato hash. Very different presentation.
We enjoy eating at Vernon’s The food and service is always tops! The staff and the Chefs are super to make us feel welcome and encouraged to come back. Great for families. Kids area during brunch looks so fun ! We plan to do brunch on a Sunday in the near future and bring the grands. Chef Momma “T” is so nice !
We had a great belated Valentine's Day meal at Vernon's. It was a quiet night and we had great service and our meal was delicious. Would recommend!
So surprised that this busy property was better than expected. Valentine weekend but noise level was nearly non-existence. High ceilings, tables far apart and very good service. 4 guests all with different selection and all very happy. We’ll definitely be back. We live in the area and weren’t hotel guests, we just wanted to try something different. So glad we did.
Valentines Day dinner was excellent
Service was really slow. We waited 22 minutes before anyone ever came by to get our drink order. I had to go up and tell the lady at the front to get any service. The food was good though and I got a rose for valentines day. And they had little Roses in a glass on the table.
Had a wonderful Valentines dinner there. The piano player was fabulous and the service was very good. We especially enjoyed the dessert and truffles.
Great menu and service for Valentines Day
