Veritas Steak & Seafood Ratings and Reviews
I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit!! The ambiance was excellent and food was as well.
I though the butternut stuffed ravioli was quite delicious. So was the blackened redfish stuffed with crab. In fact, I enjoyed my dinner there so much on Tuesday, that I made reservations again for this Friday.
Meeting a lady for the first time, the hostess on short notice made a good presentation of the flowers brought. After letting the waiter know we would like some time to talk he left us alone. The food was prepared extremely well. The surf and turf option was excellent. The only issue was the noise level did pick up a bit by the end of the meal making conversation a little more difficult.
The appetizer was the only good thing we had. The Ahi Tuna was overcooked and the rice was under cooked. My date had chicken alex and the chicken was stringy and gross. the price of our meal was way too much for the poor quality of food.
We also felt very rushed. we literally were in and out in an hour. not much of a date night
Service was awful. Waited 30+’minutes to have esiter . Had to ask for drink service. Had to ask for dinner specials.. even the table next to us complained about the service. $10.95 for a @wedge salad” was way out of line for cut up lettuce, with a few sparse pieces of tiny bits of bacon and very small tiny pieces of tomato. My husband asked for horse radish, which he never received. Haven’t been to this place in a year or so and it will be a long time until we return. Way over pr
It was a special night for my wife and my self. We are from out of town so we check the internet. We based our special night on what others had noted. They were right on spot. We had a Great Evening, staff was excellent, food delicious, wine at a good price. View and ambiance very nice. When we are in Houston again, we will be back.
We were there for our anniversary and were put in the room right next to the front , right inside that door so not too romantic.
Service- they seemed confused as to which table to deliver the food to and there were only 3 couples in the small room.
The drinks were good and the crab cake was the best we have ever had.
Staff was very friendly.
We will go again.
I love the atmosphere. Great salads, loved my Cesear salad.
I ordered the lunch Salmon well done, with potatoes and asparagus , but receive the dinner Salmon medium cooked, with steamed Spanish, which was disappointing. Glad my husband, who I took out for his birthday enjoyed the blackened red snapper. Took my Salmon home and finished cooking it myself. So it wasn't all a. Ad
I decided to plan a last minute birthday dinner and I was impressed at how accommodating the staff was. I made a last minute change to sit outside and it was set up and ready to go. Even though my guests did not arrive on time, I was seated quickly. The outdoor seating area was gorgeous and not crowded. The area over looked a near by lake and trail. Once my party arrived we ordered several items off the bar menu. The food was hot, fresh and came out in a timely manner. The ambiance and service was amazing. It made for a great birthday!
This has been one of our favorite dining spots where the food is usually well prepared and presented. Last night the Bacon wrapped Scallops were over cooked and dry, and the Grilled Snapper was also dry. There was a large group in the party room, so maybe the kitchen staff were a little overwhelmed.
The wait service was great as usual, just the food wasn't up to their usual standard. We'll go back again but may wait a while.
My wife and I went to Veritas on Mother's Day and asked for an outside table. The view is great but there was a heater right above us that kept blowing hot air and they could not turn it off. Also, the service was very slow. In fact the guest at the next table actually went to the bar and brought his own drinks. The waitress was very friendly and kept apologizing but even the salad took 25 minutes to be brought to the table. When we were done I had to go look for the waitress for the check.
Can't believe I've never been here. Went with the intention of ordering a steak, but ended up having the special instead, which was a bacon-wrapped, grilled seabass. I have never had such a delectable piece of fish! Service was EXCELLENT; attentive, but not rushed. Can't wait to return!
I may have expected too much, thinking it would be comparable to local favorites such as Churrasco's and Perry's. Steak was okay, not great. Spent a C note for the meal, with desert and cappuccino. Think most people would find this pricey overall. Will go back, and try other menu items, just not the steak.
