The service, the validated free parking under the hotel, and the bottomless yummy coffee were the best parts of my Sunday breakfast at 10am. The food was good and plated in small portions, but they need to add more vegetarian options. Very nice ambiance with live music and yes, its a hotel, so yes, it was a little more expensive than a typical local breakfast. This is my new go to place for a relaxing splurge on drinks or a meal.

Despite a very small crowd in the restaurant, our service was somewhat slow on this visit and we had to wave the waiter over a few times to place orders. Otherwise, another good visit at the Verge.

Our go to place now for special occasions with my mom who is 91. Easy access for her and great, great service every time we go. Food is very good, too, with a nice variety of choices.

All of our entrees were delicious! Dinner was fabulous. Sea bass, scallops and beef short ribs were a big hit with everyone. Brussels sprouts were my favorite appetizer and banana flambé was a crowd pleaser. All other deserts were too sweet for my palate (pound cafe and cheesecake were too sweet). I would definitely come back again - very hip restaurant with great food!

Went to Verge Restaurant for Saturday brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. Ordered the sausage ravioli and deep fried egg - it was delicious! On Sunday, I told my husband I wanted the same thing for breakfast! Our server Michael was outstanding - he was attentive but not intrusive and provided great recommendations for brunch. Will definitely be going back again.

I normally wouldn't choose a hotel restaurant since they can be hit or miss. But this modern style restaurant tucked in the Toll House Hotel is a nice find. My friend and I opted for a soup or salad (beet salad and butternut squash soup - both delicious, though the watercress was a little too peppery) to start and shared two other appetizers. The ribs (4 to a plate) were nicely dressed in a sauce, not too heavy and they were cooked well. The mushroom cobbler was delicious but very rich so it was a good one to share. We also enjoyed the cream cheese pound cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The place got busy but not packed on a Friday night and there was live music which added to the ambiance of the evening.

the food was cold. Eggs benedict do not taste f=]very good at room temperature. same for basic items like the potatoes , sausage and bacan. Omelette station was good since fresh.

prime rib was very well done. The 1:30 sitting seemed to have food left over form an 11am seating.

new eggs benedict were brought out with hard boiled egg yolks. it was asked when new prime rib would be brought out. they brought a slice out to the table . it was very tough - rushed cooking maybe microwaved ? for $100 per person with the tax and service tip it was a disappointment.

music was loud in the upper bar area. Wished i had driven the extra 25 minutes over to Chaminade.

The food here is very good. The service here is very poor. We booked a reservation for a Sunday brunch. There was a private party in a closed off room adjacent to the dining room. Our waitress was tasked with what appeared to be our table of four AND the entire private party of what looked to be 15-20 people. We were largely ignored. I had to get up at least three times to ask the bartender directly for drinks we ordered at least 15 minutes prior while we sat there. Our waitress was absent most of the time. We had to ask other servers to locate her two different times to order our food then to ask for a drinks. She never checked in with us or asked if she could get us anything. She was running around carrying trays of sliced cake for the party, pouring wine for the party. She also did that thing servers do when they do not want to be interrupted - no eye contact - she would not look our direction when she passed near our table on her way to and from serving the private party. We were there for about 1.5 hours due to the poor service and the huge wait time to order our food. Our waitress appeared to be trying but she never explained or apologized for the clear lack of attention or service. I suppose she thought she was doing a good job? It was disappointing to go to what at first appeared to be a nice place for brunch and then to be largely ignored/disregarded. The service was so poor I will really have to think hard about going back. I would guess that from our servers point of view someone (manager?) assigned her to our table but she never should have been given a table in the main dining room for brunch while she had a private party to serve. There appeared to be about three other servers in the main dining room - but they ignored us too - it was not "their table" I suppose? Very disappointing because the food itself was very good.

Very nice brunch though quite expensive. Traffic on a Sunday is very heavy near the home and I faced two detours before arriving.

Birthday dinner for our daughter at Verge Restaurant turned into a success! First time to the Verge and we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, selection and service. We had a few appetizers recommended by our server and they were unique and delicious. The main courses: Rack of Lamb, Short Ribs, Chicken and Ahi-tuna were outstanding. Dessert menu was appealing, but only the kids had some room left They chose the S'mores: Great presentation (cast iron 'fire pit') and choice of Marsh mellows!
Thank you very much for making her Birthday dinner an enjoyable and memorable event.

Been to the Verge many times. Often with friends. This was a group of six and we shared appetizers and desserts and had wonderful entrees as well. The service with Sergio was amazing.

We enjoyed our meal but from a very limited brunch menu only served on Sat/Sun.
The server was very attentive and not obtrusive (NOTHING worse than a waitstaff person barging in on your conversation blurting out the specials!). The Manager came by a few times and was very personable and engaging, and just enough! The meals were plentiful and of ok value but nothing spectacular or memorable so far as presentation. The corned beef I had was excellent but only cam with a few potatoes so again, the presentation looked akin to what I would/could get in a buffet line. The other issue we all had is lack of signage anywhere when you arrive. Other than having Waze or Google Maps for the physical address, you blow right by the place. Parking is tough but the manager did say she would validate us if needed. We were lucky to find a couple of "George Costanza" parking spots right out front.

Amazing food, but the restaurant could easily improve the interior design using little effort. The vibe is modern, the bar area and surrounding bar seats are contemporary, but the actual dining tables and chairs resemble a cafe.

My husband and I were meeting friends who recently moved to California for Lunch/Brunch and had the most wonderful time. Everyone working at Verge was so pleasant and VERY accommodating and sat us outside on the patio. To food was amazing, service was amazing and can’t wait to go back.

We eat in the Verge often. We have come to feel very much at home in this place. The food is always excellent , service is outstanding and the prices are fine. And the most important consideration is to us

Our party of six became four because of the rainy weather. We were celebrating our good friends' 84th and 87th birthdays. We had brunch and all of us had something different. Everything was delicious. We will be back!

Given the special occasion it was very disappointing. The idea of having a musician in a bar so close to a restaurant was very annoying couldn’t have a conversation. My friends really talked up the place but I’m not sure I would return. Octopus was a little tough. Ribs not the best. Staff was watching the basketball game and had to wait for them to look my way because they couldn’t hear me over the one man band!! I really wanted it to work out.. I work so close.

I really enjoyed the cocktails. Wide selection and something for everybody's taste. The bread they served was my favorite item. It's served in a bag and is really hot. It just melts in the mouth. I enjoyed the Hanger Steak. Cooked perfectly and was tender. The Short Rib was good too. I had the Crab Toast. Not my normal choice for an appetizer, but it was really good especially if you like crab and pork belly. The Butternut Soup was my least favorite thing. The service is outstanding. Everyone was so friendly.

This was our second visit to Verge. The service was excellent, really! The food was decent... we had the Seabass, great flavor, but luke- warm at best, the pan seared rib eye- ordered medium rare, came well done and not hot. Believe it or not, the service more than made up for it. Great waiter and bus staff... we will go again, too nice of an environment to skip

One of the best meals I have had in a long time! I was pleased that there were vegetarian items on the menu. All the dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients and the presentation is beautiful. Make sure you order the S'mores for dessert, which is enough for 2 to share. It comes with your own table top "firepit" to toast your marshmallows!

Great brunch and wonderful atmosphere at Verge. The menu choices are innovative, interesting and delicious. We could have gotten the basic breakfast fare, but all the choices made by our party were outstanding and delicious. Loved the Virgin Mary - it was practically a meal itself. Prompt service, coffee, tea and water kept flowing. Highly recommend Verge for an excellent brunch experience.

What a wonderful find! Loved our Sunday Brunch here and will definitely return! They have live music (applause, applause) from 10-2 on Sundays and we were told it's also from 6-9 on Th & Fri nights. That's always a plus in my book, but their food was a plus, too! We had the corned beef and poached eggs, ham and bacon quiche and the pancake soufflé along with a bloody mary and french pressed coffee. Our server was attentive and informative. Everything was GREAT!
