Verde - Perez Art Museum Miami Ratings and Reviews
we had a great lunch. salad and a Margherita pizza. portions were good. I added grilled chicken to my salad and it was delicious.
one of my favorite things about going to either of the museums is lunch. do book ahead because sometimes there are no empty tables.
I've been at Verde several times, with good overall impression except for the last time I went. This last time OpenTable allowed us to make a reservation for 4.45PM, and we did it. At 4.42PM, the Manager was calling us to say that we should be exactly at 4.45PM because the restaurant closes at 5PM. I don't think they should accept reservations at 4.45PM if they are going to put pressure on the clients like that... We ordered mussels, a chicken sandwich and fries with caramelized onions. Both the sandwich and the fries were stale, onions were inexistent. The mussels were very good.
We made reservations for my husbands birthday, we arrived on time and still had to wait 45 min for our table. The hostess stated she would text when the table was ready and she never did. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly, she seemed to be managing too many tables. The food was good but not out of this world. I got the margarita pizza, it had three leaves of basil. My dad got the steak and eggs which was also underwhelming. My mom got the shrimp and grits which she loved. My brother had the brunch burger which was great. My husband had the mushroom pizza, that was pretty good too. The cocktails are on the stronger side and they have a nice beer and wine selection. The prices are reasonable and the view is completely worth it! The museum and grounds are very beautiful.
We loved our lunch at Verde. There were no outside tables available but the inside was still very nice. Service was excellent. The rainbow carrots were a show stopper. People stopped and took pictures because it was such a beautiful presentation. It tasted as good as it looked. Our daughter is vegan and she had so many choices. Only negative was the parking lot was fun and we had to park so far away. Worth the walk!!
We had not been to Verde for several months and were pleased to find that the service and food quality remain very high. We enjoyed all of our meals. The appetizer shrimp tacos are a very generous portion size. The tuna tartare is excellent. Pizza was very good as was the chicken club. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was served in an attractive manner. We were on the early side for lunch, and decided to eat inside given the humidity out. As we left we noticed the noise level had increased a fair amount as the room filled up. Just something to keep in mind. Overall, highly recommend.
Me and my mom visited on my lunch break. The view is okay not amazing. Our food was okay. I got the soup of the day, which was mushroom and brie. The taste was okay, but it was lukewarm. I didn't have time to send it back. My mom got the shrimp tacos. She said they were tasteless. I got the rainbow salad was not what I expected. It was only 3 carrots and a bunch of wilted arugula. Our waiter was attentive, but when I asked the bus boy for pepper, he never brought it. The place was not bad, just not amazing.
Service was horrible!!!!!!! Usually love this place but it was like they tried to make it the worst experience ever. Was hosting my team to a thank you holiday lunch. They served appetizers only about 5 minutes before 4 our of 5 meals came out. With 1 person meal arrive 20 minutes later after the other 4 of us finished. Food: 1 person couldn’t eat their meal it was over seasoned, 2 people food ice cold and water never refilled. Server took our order and we never saw her again until I got up and went inside to talk to hostess who dismissed me then I spoke to Mgr. They were hosting a rehearsal dinner so they were setting up and testing sound system. They should’ve closed the restaurant.
wasnt very good, faro "salad" had 2 cherry tomatoes. they were out of things at lunch time. friend got sick from her lunch, I got indigestion. used to be great, quality has gone way down. plus we had a hell of a time parking (they wouldnt let us in and wanted us to drive around and get in line again when we were at the front of the line and people were leaving so there had to be spaces. I refused, they called security, who finally let us in bc we needed handicapped parking, all of which made us late for rez). Not happy.
Verde is the restaurant at the Perez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM). It has a pretty varied menu with appetizers, salads, pizzas, and sandwiches. It also has a nice wine list. We had pizzas - the Margherita, and the Butter Nut and Fig. Both were excellent - lots of cheese and tomatoes on the Margherita and lots of squash, dried figs, gorgonzola and hazelnuts on the other. We sat outside and, while it was pretty empty, the views and comfortable temperatures made for a nice couple of hours. This was my 4th or 5th time there and I will definitely go back. The restaurant is also convenient to the new Frost Science Museum and Museum Park.
The good thing about Verde is that the service, cuisine and prices all join up to play the part well.
The noise level is also appreciated as you can actually have a real conversation about the art you just saw in the expositions.
Whether you sit inside or outside you can have a good time.
Convenient choice for lunch if you're visiting the Perez Art Museum or the Frost Science Museum.
The arugula salad with carrot hummus was excellent. We also tried the chicken club sandwich and the vegetable frittata and were happy with both choices.
This is a very kid friendly restaurant so you should expect a noisy lunch.
This restaurant is beautifully located, however the food is subpar and not worth the cost. The food was good, but something I could have bought at a street store and paid less for.
The service was great. The hostess (a very beautiful African American woman with a beautifully extrinsic style) was a doll. She was very welcoming. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendation, however I wish the food lived up to kind employment, location, and price.
The restaurant is under construction, which is unappealing to start , but having eaten well there before, we gave it a chance. The food was uninspiring, and overall not very good. The fried tomatoes were swimmming in cheese and tomato sauce and the fish tacos were as dry as a bone! The serevice was subpar and the entire experience a great disappointment.
At the museum, but magnitudes above museum dining. A worthy destination in and of itself. Quality of food and level of service always consistent but never boring. Just enough seasonal variance of menu to keep it fresh and pique interest in stretching ones culinary horizon.
We visited the PAMM museum and decided to have brunch. What a treat! We sat outside and ordered coffee - which was nice and strong! Then, Fritata and the Pancakes to share. The portions are big! We were not able to finish either meal. Super friendly Hostess (that is rare!) and the wait staff too.
Would highly recommend - take some time, enjoy the covered area.
We were the only ones in the restaurant, table of 4, it took more than 20 minutes to have a server come to the table, food delivery the same. Food tasty, pizzas cold. We've been to Verde many times and keep hoping that the service will be as beautiful as the ambience. Not yet
