Asked about whether it was a special occasion at arrival. Nothing special happened! We enjoyed ourselves though!
Hostess was amazing h she helped me get table I wanted. We were a group of 9 women celebrating my bday and we got a not so good waited I don’t even know his name. He was not friendly, approachable at all. Made us a little uncomfortable.
The food was good a little hip ups with the wings being cold and my friends burger too lemony and not good. Brussels sprouts good and peppers.
They were two guys Ryan and forgot the other one with glasses name? They were superb friendly and nice, approachable and very helpful we were so happy they were around they helped with umbrellas a and even taking photos.
Music was disappointing did not started like it was stated started very late playing almost when they came and kick it us out. Never seen that before made us not even have another drink. Two hrs only to be there unbelievable. Place half empty did not see the point they could told us move to another tables smaller in two or something.
Athena music was far they normally by fireplace.
But anyways I love the place sad we had a few things but I love the place and we were grated to be there.
Hope this feedback helps!
Tavia our server was great. Mussels were huge and excellent. Pasta was bland and tasteless. Tiramisu was very good.
We have been here many times, but the portion sizes of the salmon were minuscule compared to previous visits and the salmon was super dry. Potatoes were very blah. Poor quality and very pricey. Not impressed. Very busy night. Gorgeous weather. Nice ambience on patio. Best thing last night was the ambiance. Very disappointed
Ambiance, music and food is great. Always our go to place for dining.
It was very difficult to get my elderly father in law to the table , we had to stop multiple times , very difficult to maneuver a walker . Also noted another family with elderly family member having trouble accessing the rest rooms .
Table /wait staff very attentive but when we first arrived at the main entrance the two young ladies could only point in a direction and truly did not understand our disability needs despite my request .
Please enable access with a golf cart to the patio dining and please improve disabled access to the restrooms.
Loved the restaurant and the food. Definitely coming back!
This is our third and final attempt at dinner here. The service was terrible, we had to go find the waiter 3 times over 2 and a half hours to bring our drinks and food. We LOVE the atmosphere at the Inn but the service and management at the Veranda is awful.
Very nice outside casual dining experience! Only one negative - we were celebrating our son and daughter-in-law's birthdays which I mentioned prior to dining but there was no acknowledgement whatsoever.
Menu needs to be changed up every once in a while.
The people at the front desk were super nice and helpful. Our wait people were all very friendly and helpful. This is one of our favorite outdoor dining places and we come back and back.
Great happy hour with live music that started at 5pm. It was very relaxing!
Great view, wine, and food! We had a very nice server too!
A lovely location over looking golf course. Live guitar players/singers. Staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Their food is good. Will return again and again.
Sorry to say the food is not what it used be. Shrimp cocktail came with three previously frozen and chewy shrimp. Cobb salad was skimpy and not worth the price. We used to enjoy the meals along with the great outdoor dining. The last couple of visits the food has been subpar. Will not return.
I was asked when making the reservation if this lunch was for an occasion and I answered yes, and said it was for my daughter's birthday. I was asked again at the reservation desk at The Veranda, and again I said YES, it was my daughter's birthday.
I have no idea why they asked, because there was no little birthday desert cupcake or anything offered! When I told the server he said they don't do any special occasion dessert. Furthermore, he said he would bring something for her, and then disappeared. We finally left.
Don't expect any special occasion treat! But the food was very good.
Beautiful outdoor resort dining. The olive trees make it feel like you are someplace more exotic than Rancho Bernardo. Outdoor fireplaces and pit plus mellow music adds to the lovely ambiance.
My server and the manager were AMAZING. The hostess staff needs some customer service training, all in all an excellent dinner choice for my family and out of town guests
Great as usual!
The Veranda Fireside Grill has it all! Fabulous outdoor dining, hardworking awesome staff, and delicious food!
service was excellent. great atmosphere. The food was delicious.
Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Food just average.
It doesn't matter if you have a reservation. We were seated in a corner until I protested, Then we were exactly at the restaurant entrance with other empty tables.. Other patrons arrived after us and were given a choice of tables. Disappointing from a highly regarded top quality restaurant. Salmon and bread pudding were good. Everything else was average. Server was just o.k.
Great atmosphere, excellent food. A bit pricey but overall excellent.
Beautiful location, excellent service, food was delicious. Highlight was the brussel sprouts dish (starter). The Margarita not the greatest, the Sangria was much better 😋
Friendly staff, but most likely due to nationwide staffing shortage issues, was a very long wait to get service.
Beautiful patio, highly recommend if you are looking for a lunch spot in the area, just not if you're in a hurry. Food was pretty decent, not extraordinary, but better then most restaurants in the area.
Wedding luncheon for family. I had requested indoor seating due to the heat and some elderly folks. When we arrived the matriarch decided she preferred outside… The staff did a great job of putting together some tables for us on the veranda and everything went smoothly.
The Veranda is a beautiful venue. The musician playing her acoustic guitar created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The food was enjoyed by all. The service was warm and friendly but very disorganized, We were given lunch menus for our 4:45 and 5:00 dinner reservations.. We were not given happy hour menus or kids menus and had to ask for them. We made reservations more than a week in advanced. I tried to make a reservation for a large group but they consider any group over 12 to be an event and so our only option was to make four separate reservations for four separate tables of eight. It seemed like an unnecessary additional hassle, When we arrived, we realized we only had ONE server for all four tables (32 people in total). This was not effective and somewhat frustrating becasue we were not allowed to move tables together. We did not understand the purpose of being separated if we were all going to have the same server anyway. Food runners were quick to bring to the food out but the drinks, ordering and getting the bill (one per table) was very, very slow. I spoke with the manager three times requesting more help and though he was polite and warm, only provided an 'assistant' who did not take orders and only seemed to follow our one server around. Over all, the restaurant food and atmosphere is lovely. The service, for us, and the rigidity of not allowing us to move tables together and the slow service made for a challenging dining experience considering the prices.
Live musician, Michael was fantastic. Would return just to hear him again.
Beautiful setting and wonderful staff serving delicious food. The only thing keeping it from being perfect is their website states the all day menus is served until 8:30. Not true. It is not available at dinner. Time to update that website.
I had a lovely meal at Veranda, celebrating a friend's birthday. The meal was excellent as was the service. The Brussels sprout is a must have.
Good food, good service, good setting! ...........
Sub par food for the price. Bread pudding was best part of the meal.
We took our dad here for his 87th birthday and it was the perfect. Their menu was very nice. Highlights were the roasted brussel sprouts, Marlborough Sav Blanc and tomato basil soup. You can sit close to the live music or across the patio for quiet background. The late afternoon light is magical.
Overall, it was a very nice experience. The lunch menu was somewhat limited. The entrees were a bit pricey. We got the hamburger, kale salad and cobb salad. All of the items were very tasty.
The setting is magnificent and the food and service were terrific as always. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch overlooking the golf course and look forward to coming back for more excellent cuisine and good service. It is always a pleasure to dine here.
Our neighborhood favorite! Thanks for seating us at our favorite table. We will be back again very soon!
We drove from Temecula to have lunch (about 30 min) we sat down and got greeted by our waitress but after that we never saw her, another waitress had to take our order because we were told that our waitress had a large party to take care of I had to stop another waitress to get a drink.. Food was not good nothing like the pictures on here or Yelp super small menu not many choices
I'm glad the weather and view were good, as everything else was very disappointing.
Starting with the hostess, who walked ten feet ahead of us, dropped the menus and napkins/silverware in a pile on the table, and said "here you are." It then took about 5 minutes before anyone else came to the table. Order taking went fine. Omelets arrived timely, but were mediocre at best - cheese just barely melted, one without tomatoes. And once we noticed the missing tomatoes, it took a few minutes again before anyone came by or could be flagged down. Then, the tomatoes she brought were beefsteak size, sliced 1/4" thick, compared to the nicely cut, omelet sized ones which came in the other omelet. The reservation asked if there was an event being celebrated, and we noted our wedding anniversary. We didn't expect much, but if you're going to ask you should acknowledge the event.
