Los Fuegos – Faena Hotel Miami Beach
Major social event in Argentina, the asado (an open-fire barbecue) marks a time when friends and family gather around traditional dishes and spend an afternoon catching up. It is as much about tradition and being together as it is about food. Our Sunday family style menu features a variety of dishes typically served among families on weekends.
The restaurant is lovely and the food is good. The prices however are completely ridiculous. It seems as if the prices have doubled recently as we have dined there several other times and felt the value was there in the past but not so on this last visit.
Exceptional food and service. Great portions for fine dining in Miami.
Awesome experience. Glad we were there on a quiet night as we looked like we owned the place!
Planning to visit again next time we go to Miami! Wonderful
Perfect food, great service.
small minus is parking: expensive and long waiting
The food and service were great.
This is always a solid experience -- fresh food, good combination of interesting with standard fare. It was a little cool this trip on the patio even with the heaters but they were very accommodating.
Great service, epic food, one of my favorite places
Amazing as always!
Beautiful decor, server was very attentive & pleasant. Menu had a nice variety.
Impeccable service and high quality meal
I am a big fan of Chef Francis Mallmann and have dined at some of his South American properties with great pleasure. So I was excited to try Los Fuegos in the Faena Hotel in Miami. But my recent dinner there was pretty disappointing, starting with our table, which was in a corner and so close to a walkway that servers bumped my chair every time they passed to collect glassware from the cabinet there. It happened so many times that I eventually complained and was told there was nothing to be done. So, we shifted the table 8" to away from the passageway and the problem stopped. Similarly clueless service gaffes occurred throughout the evening. The chandelier was briefly dimmed, then brightened. I asked who designed the room, was told someone would find out and tell me in "one minute," and then I never saw that person again. I asked our sommelier to describe a particular sparkling wine from a favorite producer, and he pompously bloviated about where its grapes were grown but told me nothing about the wine itself. And so on. All of this would've been fine if the food had been ok, but it wasn't. My octopus starter, supposedly a house specialty, was hammered. My sea-bass special main course was a nice prepared piece of fish, but the rice that accompanied it could've been used for spackle. The crust on the bonus empanada we had ordered as an extra app was simultaneously burnt and underdone, depending on where you bit into it. For the desserts, our flan was closer to Jell-O than a creme caramel, and the famed profiteroles were tasty but the presentation looked like a cowpie. To be fair, I didn't try a friend's steak, which was supposedly good, and our server was good about scoring some off-the-menu sweetbreads for us. But in general, this was Sizzler-level fare and service at Ritz-level prices. The concept at Los Fuegos is that most dishes are cooked over flames, but a lot of people need to be fired before I'll return.
Always epic... My favorite place in Miami Beach
Amazing. I will be back
Excellent in every respect. Absolutely outstanding, food for sure but service, ambiance and overall experience hard to match in Miami
Deceiving experience... the bar, nothing special! Even simple cocktails prepared with no added value. The meal at Los fuegos, in a table on the terrace, with poor lighting, eating in the dark at this level of restaurant is not acceptable! The food, correct, nothing extraordinary. The service OK, but not very knowledgeable and rather robotic. I’ve been several times to the Faena Buenos Aires and to every Francis Mallmann’s restaurant and I can say is that this is the worst experience I’ve ever had... definitely I would not recommend!
To die for. From the service to the ambiance to the food quality, it doesn't get much better. Bravo!
We have always enjoyed our meals and experiences at Los Fuegos. This was our fourth time coming, and we were celebrating two milestone birthdays in our family. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their time.
They have a so called dress policy which I asked about when I confirmed our reservation the day before. Upon getting there it was clear they were not enforcing it. Also we had to wait over 30 minutes for our table even when we confirmed the day before. Service was "okay". Food was "okay". A bucket list goal but the outcome is one and done.
Restaurant was empty, yet they gave us a table by the entrance. We asked to be seated at another table for 4, and were told they had someone who reserved the table in the back. Additionally, there was a leak from the ceiling, and they refused to move us to another table.
Had the restaurant been full, I could understand, but there were a number of open tables. Food is good, but not worth returning.
restaurant is very pretty, food and service excellent.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. Creative presentations appealed to our large party of discriminating diners.
The manager was too rude in handling a situation at the reception and embarrassed the client
Service was absolut super. Very accommodating.
Wonderful attention to detail. Amazing food and ambiance
Food below average and the service was very rude.
Party of 18 for a birthday dinner. Perfect ambiance, very good service. Food, while high quality produce and all, could have been more imaginative. Certainly be back.
We booked for the Christmas Eve Prix Fixe at $125. We have eaten here at least 15 times but this time did not live up to past experience. The service was not attentive. Utensils were forgotten and finished plates lingered for at least 15 mins after each course. The four course meal was average. First pumpkin course did not work in harmony. Second course was ok (lobster or empanada) and the third course of ribeye was not cooked properly. Desert was a Yule log that we could not finish. The bill arrived with an automatic 18% gratuity that seems unfair for the rote service received. All of this was brought to the manager Massimo’s attention but he did not care nor fix service. I had to call after we closed the tab to get the 18% back.
Too bad this place has slipped. The meal was not worth $400.
Christmas Eve with family. Everything was perfect!
Steak was cold so they removed the dessert charge to make up for it. Service was slow and lacked thoroughness. And table was in a private corner but lighting was intense and harsh color so the ambience wasn’t enjoyable despite the rest of the restaurant being beautiful.
Amazing Sunday lunch experience. Skirt steak was to die for. Would definitely do it again.
Was good but expected better
Overpriced never going back
Fantastisk interior in restaurant and adjoining bar. Attentive and professional service. The salads were not anything special, the meat was good but not something to remember. Extremely generous portions. The desserts were wonderful , both the profiterole and the apple pancake. Extensive wine list, but high prices.
La comida riquísima!!! Y aprovechamos el espectáculo que estaba en el bar que está junto al resto y la música era genial
We are chef Francis mallmann admirers and we enjoy his featured food around the world
The hotel and restaurant are very attractive. Our server was great. Our expectations were very high because of Francis Mallman's reputation and the restaurant did not live up to that expectation. The steaks , salads and empanadas were delicious but shrimp, cauliflower and side dishes were mediocre and the 3,desserts we tried were tasteless.
