Los Fuegos – Faena Hotel Miami Beach
Major social event in Argentina, the asado (an open-fire barbecue) marks a time when friends and family gather around traditional dishes and spend an afternoon catching up. It is as much about tradition and being together as it is about food. Our Sunday family style menu features a variety of dishes typically served among families on weekends.
The food is good and the place is nice, the service is very slow.
Food ok, service mediocre.
The most professional and charming chefs!
A most enjoyable and great meal once again. What an incredible restaurant!
Always the best experience. Visually a feast. Delicious food. Amazing service. Can’t wait till my next reservation.
What an experience! From the host stand to the server assistants to the manager - everyone was kind and helpful. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic. He humbly explained everything and coordinated a beautiful night out for us. The food was delicious- definitely try the octopus.
We came here for dinner with the family. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. We ended up ordering two different steaks, branzino and some sides (truffle mash potatoes and mushrooms) and grapefruit salad. Everything was delicious. There was live music. We had such an awesome time. The kids loved it. Our waiter Chris was really friendly and also nice with the kids. He shared stories about the designers of the restaurant and made it a lot of fun. We also had dessert, it was some big chocolate mousse, so tasty! We will definitely come back! It felt like we were transported into the 1920’s. Very cool design.
Food was not great. Nothing exceptional. Hype mostly. Service good but absolutely no engagement with server.
Everything was fantastic, and the combination with THE LIVING ROOM with excellent live music was great! Keep it up,’for sure will return...
One of our favorite restaurants In Miami Beach. Food is so consistently delicious and the outdoor area, with the lush ambience, is very chilled out. Tip: try Asado on Sundays for the best "buffet" I know of... grilled proteins with healthy salads and a pretty happening dessert bar. Just sayin...
Everyone very welcoming
Need to explain dining areas
Would have waited in order to eat in the more formal room or chosen a different day
I had high expectations for this restaurant after reading good reviews. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. We were seated outside which clearly was as not as nice as within the actual restaurant itself. Sort of a half Bedouin tent - This was irritating as we had booked a week in advance for a birthday dinner so to have dressed up to be seated next to a woman in flip flops and a 7 year old child was unexpected. The service was good and our waitress was very helpful. The food was just ok. The empeñada was half cold. Obviously thrown on the griddle for 5 sec before serving. The meat was a bit better. Perhaps having a rib eye served medium rare was a mistake as it was a bit too fatty for my taste. The wine selection was good. I think the major problem was the hideous lounge music playing throughout the meal. Overall disappointing.
The cheese empanada is the best thing ever
I had an incredible experience at Los Fuegos that began with excellent food and ended with amazing customer service. This restaurant is absolutely first class. I highly recommend.
Awful experience at what was expected to be a top notch restaurant. The setting is very nice, and the menu and wine list looked quite good as well.
We never expected that one hour and twenty minutes after we had ordered, and 50 minutes after we had finished our appetizer, our main course was nowhere to be seen and the waiter kept blaming "backups in the kitchen", as if the kitchen was a different entity altogether.
The music in the adjacent room kept growing louder, and when we were about to leave, the maître finally came out to assure that our main courses would come out "in less than ten minutes, guaranteed".
This time he was true to his word and one hour and forty minutes after our arrival, we manage to eat an overcooked osobucco and a good duck. Needless to say, we rushed out of the door without coffee or dessert.
Elite service. Not sure if everyone else had the same level of attention, but ours was off the charts
Food overpriced and they charge $25.00 for valet parking and that's after having a meal. Lunch for 2 was twice as expensive as a dinner we had 2 days before. It's pretty but way overpriced
Everything perfect but the clinate inside cery cold!!!
Fantastic food and great service
Always an epic experience... Service is attentive and the food is stellar
The restaurant has very high ceilings and attractive decor. The service was excellent. The empanadas were light and delicious. We have a selection of meats cooked over wood, including prime rib, skirt steak, sweetbreads and chorizo. Everything was prepared very well and we enjoyed the dinner. The band in the adjoining bar was a bit loud within the dining room but we still enjoyed it.
Requested a table outside and they were not able to accommodate, although many tables sat vacant for our entire lunch period. We end up seating outside by the bar (separate area) and the service was that of any regular chili style restaurant. The ambiance and food was very good though..
The food was DELICIOUS and was very reasonably priced for the quality. Service was fantastic.
If you are not in main room, the ambiance is just dark and lonely, like being relegated to the back table at a wedding. The food was just average disappointingly. The host and server did their best to accommodate us on this busy weekend though and we appreciated it very much. Just not worth it if you can’t be seated in beautiful main room.
The restaurant is lovely and the food is good. The prices however are completely ridiculous. It seems as if the prices have doubled recently as we have dined there several other times and felt the value was there in the past but not so on this last visit.
Exceptional food and service. Great portions for fine dining in Miami.
Awesome experience. Glad we were there on a quiet night as we looked like we owned the place!
Planning to visit again next time we go to Miami! Wonderful
Perfect food, great service.
small minus is parking: expensive and long waiting
The food and service were great.
This is always a solid experience -- fresh food, good combination of interesting with standard fare. It was a little cool this trip on the patio even with the heaters but they were very accommodating.
Great service, epic food, one of my favorite places
Amazing as always!
Beautiful decor, server was very attentive & pleasant. Menu had a nice variety.
Impeccable service and high quality meal
I am a big fan of Chef Francis Mallmann and have dined at some of his South American properties with great pleasure. So I was excited to try Los Fuegos in the Faena Hotel in Miami. But my recent dinner there was pretty disappointing, starting with our table, which was in a corner and so close to a walkway that servers bumped my chair every time they passed to collect glassware from the cabinet there. It happened so many times that I eventually complained and was told there was nothing to be done. So, we shifted the table 8" to away from the passageway and the problem stopped. Similarly clueless service gaffes occurred throughout the evening. The chandelier was briefly dimmed, then brightened. I asked who designed the room, was told someone would find out and tell me in "one minute," and then I never saw that person again. I asked our sommelier to describe a particular sparkling wine from a favorite producer, and he pompously bloviated about where its grapes were grown but told me nothing about the wine itself. And so on. All of this would've been fine if the food had been ok, but it wasn't. My octopus starter, supposedly a house specialty, was hammered. My sea-bass special main course was a nice prepared piece of fish, but the rice that accompanied it could've been used for spackle. The crust on the bonus empanada we had ordered as an extra app was simultaneously burnt and underdone, depending on where you bit into it. For the desserts, our flan was closer to Jell-O than a creme caramel, and the famed profiteroles were tasty but the presentation looked like a cowpie. To be fair, I didn't try a friend's steak, which was supposedly good, and our server was good about scoring some off-the-menu sweetbreads for us. But in general, this was Sizzler-level fare and service at Ritz-level prices. The concept at Los Fuegos is that most dishes are cooked over flames, but a lot of people need to be fired before I'll return.
Always epic... My favorite place in Miami Beach
