The food was delicious , but the service was very slow. The waitress at dinner and the next day at breakfast was not friendly. They both were forgetful. I had to keep asking for drinks, coffee, etc....

Usually much better, but on this Tuesday evening they were very under-staffed. Service was excruciatingly slow, taking nearly an hour for food to arrive.

Beef Nachos were disgusting, the hamburg was stuck together like glue and tasteless, bucket of shrimp were about the size of a thumb nail, sliced opened but not deveined, black and dirty! Glad I didn't order an entree, everyone else in the party did. The baked fish came without the vegetable, we had to ask for it, got that after he was done eating, the pot roast dinner was pieces of meat not slices and the turkey club came with wilted wet lettuce. $90.00+ later it was terrible...Told the waiter and he didn't care! Could just about get napkins and never got a refill of water, and the place was 80% empty. Never ever again! Foxwood's should have discounted that meal!

We were here for Mother’s Day brunch. I made sure to call for a reservation Thursday on open table. We walked right up to the hostess station at 10:45, and were able to be seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. There was a VERY long wait for anyone who didn’t have a reservation. Service and food was fantastic :)

We go to Veranda from Grand Pequot for breakfast/ They have a full menu but have a buffet. The buffet is nothing like the main buffet at Foxwoods but is very Good, The service is always good and the items on the buffet are warm and fresh. On this occasion I had a cane and 2 plates. The cook at the omelet station gave me my Eggs and asked if I needed help/

We always eat at the Veranda café wen we stay at the Grand Pequot There s no wait time as we use open table for reservations. The service is very good I especially like the home fried chicken It is outstanding . The menu has something for everyone.

My family and I went here for breakfast. The buffet was recommended so that's what I ordered. It was OK. There was nothing special about it. They had an omelet station which is another reason why I ordered the buffet versus off the menu. It was dry which is not uncommon when someone is making multiple omelets. The sausage was delicious. They had their usual fruit, bacon, pancakes, etc. If I were to dine here again, I would order off the menu. Two other family members did and their dishes were very good.

Didn’t really need a reservation when we got there. It was pretty open. Didn’t get to see the view of the Connecticut woods. Breakfast bar wasn’t what I expected.

You need to have more options for gluten-free celiac people especially at the buffet have a special area that's designated for gluten-free people thank you besides that all my friends liked it there I have no allergies have a great day

Arrived for Sunday morning buffet about 5 min before reservation. Long line, looked into dining room and at least half the tables were empty. Found out they were short staffed. We were seated about 5-10 min after 12 (only 1 other group was seated before us in that time)

Despite being short staffed & long line of people, most of the staff causally walked around serving and cleaning tables like it was a dead weekday afternoon. The only people showing any hustle were the managers who were seating guests. However they didnt seem to have any control over the situation, nor their servers nonchalant attitude.

We, like many of the guests waiting, were there for a buffet- something that required little table interaction. After sitting down a busboy came over with water and to take our drink order. We waited a few more minutes with no sign of a waitress. We went up to get food and it wasn’t till we got back that she came over. We only saw her once more when she dropped off the check. No drink refills till then.

Overall the food was ok, kitchen was doing a good job keeping up. I would go back but had i not made a reservation and had i not been seated right away i would have walked away. It was not worth and id have no intention of standing around for 30+ min waiting for a table for a buffet.

We went here for breakfast while at Foxwoods. We had the breakfast buffet. Great price, excellent service, and lots of food choices at a reasonable price! Will definitely be back on our next trip!

Veranda Cafe is always a great go to place when we arrive at Foxwoods close to dinner. Has never disappointed us. So we booked breakfast last night (which we also enjoyed in the past) but when we arrived this morning we were informed the regular menu would not be available as the overnight snow storm had made travel dangerous and they were working with a limited staff so they were doing buffet. Since hubby has Celiac we thought that may not be a good idea. Haven’t done a buffet since his diagnosis. Long story short, they prepared eggs for him in a separate pan and brought him a toasted GF roll. From the kitchen. The bacon was fine for a side and the potatoes were also gluten free(roasted). He had a dish of fruit as well and was more than satisfied. What we want to emphasize is the service of the limited staff. They worked together helping at all tables so diners had their coffee, tea, juice and water cups/glasses filled and dirty dishes removed from the table efficiently. Kudos to restaurant manager on duty this morning, Dane V, for leading his team by example. He also was working floor - busing tables, filling water glasses, pouring coffee: in general the same tasks his staff were doing. All the time having eyes on the tables and checking with guests if they needed anything. Bringing extra creamers, sugar/Splenda, butter to tables to help the servers. So thank you to entire staff working this morning and to Dane. (Just realized the time-it’s now the day after the storm.☺️)

They seemed to be understaffed. Lots of confusion seating guests with reservations, VIP cards and those who were simply waiting in line...which was long. The food was good, lots of choices. The staff was friendly. The room is nice, especially if you sit by a window to enjoy the view during the day. We'll go back, when it's not so crowded.

Bottom line - don't bother. The food was not very tasty, and the first "attempt" at the roasted chicken salad was completely disastrous. The waitress told us "that's the way it comes out". So we pressed the issue, and a revised salad that actually had more ingredients than just lettuce and some overcooked dry chicken returned. Her comment to us? "Now that looks much better". Duh. We should have figure out how bad it was going to be when we got there and saw virtually every table empty.

Usually good for breakfast. But the pancakes are bad at the buffet, although overall a good deal. Ordered the steak and cheese tonight, the worst I ever had.

Breakfast buffet is terrible. Made to order omlettes and fruit are the only good things to eat. Premade Eggs Benedict was salty. French toast and pancakes were cold and inedible. Pastry was out of a box.

Had the buffett one morning and it was terrible. Ordered pancakes and Belgium waffle off the menu the next morning and they were great.

Don't get the buffett.

Service was great , meal was as expected good food , they seem to be understaffed long line at door with empty tables in the restaurant glad we had a reservation and skipped the line .
