It was a club that was extremely loud and hard to get to your seat. Pretty much a dance club with food
Very nice for birthdays
Great dinning experience
I didn't know until I got to the restaurant that Open Table will allow a table of 6 to be divided into two tables for 2. We are seated at one end of the table and another couple was at the other end, one empty chair between us.
Did not realize this was the former Top Dog night club which now has a new name and a new older crowd. We arrived on Friday night during a time when a local popular band was in town. Most (if not all people other than us) were there see the band.
Menu was larger than I thought it would be. The "Wine and beer list" is whatever items the server can remember that that time, there is no printed list of either. The wines consisted of " a merlot, a pinot grigio, a rose..." so no chance to get a specific vintage.
Service was good. Portions were huge!
Noise level became an issue once the band started up around 6P. Being 3 tables away from the bandstand made conversing more like a shouting match.
Why did I go? It was the night before Valentines Day and I had not made any other reservations. It was either this or mexican food. Mexican food and Valentines Day are not really compatible if you know what I mean!
One of our favorite places to party and dance to the band All Souled Out. The crowd is always "all in", dance floor packed from the first song to the last farewell, food is good and a great value, and our regular waitress Paige checks in on us regularly throughout the evening to keep drinks fresh and make sure that we are well cared for. Arrive early (the kitchen gets busy), order a drink, meet some people and get ready for a great time!
Fun night out at Vera with family and friends to see the Don’t Call Me Francis Band! Entertainment, dancing, dinner (love their salmon, rice and grilled veggies entree), service— we had a great time all around.
Great place to be
They had a live band “All Souled out” that was fantastic! Food was good, large portions for decent price and waitress was very good. All around good experience.
Bathrooms were less than desirable. Need a major cleaning maybe even a renovation.
We love Vera's. Michael the manager is so welcoming to everyone. He is the best. The waitresses are so feiendy and fast service.
The set up is ok. Food and drinks like always were great. If you are wanting a quite evening, this is not the place. Definitely loud in every section.
This is a night spot . The waitress are always super professional and friendly. Try the steak fajitas are excellent.
Enjoyed small plates: banging shrimp, chicken tacos enjoyed nice weather that evening. Do your research on events to make sure it’s your type of crowd that night. This place drawn millennials to baby boomers.
Didn't receive the seating that I requested, disappointed about that but my wife and I had a fantastic time as usual when dancing to the music of the All Souls Out Band. I guess I'll remember to reserve a table near the dance floor earlier the next time. Still had a great time.
My first time being at Vera, we were there to watch the soul cruisers perform!we ordered appetizers and they took a ridiculously long time to get out to our table!
Went for a bachelorette party I was having for 11 girls. The food was great like always, the patio was open in the back with DJ, fireplaces and bar, the Don't Call Me Francis Band was playing inside, and the staff was very attentive!!! The girls had such an amazing time they can't wait to go back again!!! The evening was perfect!! Thank you to all the staff , band and DJ for making the bride to be feel super special.
I highly recommend Vera's for a family dinner and a special fun night out!! Can not go wrong!
Thought Don’t call Me Francis was ‘80’s Rock. I asked for no fries n mash potatoes instead. Said I’d pay extra for mash potatoes if needed. They gave me fries n charged me full amt for mash potatoes.
The food was very good. I had the ribeye and wife had the filet. We were both very happy. The appetizers were good as well. We had the loaded tator tots and old bay fries.
Nice atmosphere.. But the service was horrible!! The waitress had too many tables to be attentive to everyones needs!
Food and service was good. Was charged the cover fee for the band even though we were only there for dinner. Additional $20
I was just there Friday night! Great food and great entertainment! Super fun place to hangout with friends or celebrate an occasion. I highly recommend it! You have to try the Banging Shrimp!!..lol
Food was good. Server was attentive. Drinks (fish bowl) were strong and worth the $15. Be aware that they include the tip in the bill even for small parties of 2 .
Usually we have a great experience at Vera's, but on friday 2\8 it was horrible service. We placed our food order at 6:30 and didn't get our food until after 8pm. Our waitress was inattentive and rarely came over for additional drink orders. It was like they didn't want us to spend our money. Next time we'll go to King of Pizza before hand and sneak minis of alcohol in with us.
They overbook tables I was there for about 8:15 and by 9:15 they had ask me to seat at the bar because the had someone else that needed a table it’s bad enough that you have to pay a cover just to eat but if I reserve a table I expect to be there as long as I need to be . Not good management
Experience was great as always!
This is a bar with music. The long term
Waitresses are excellent and very friendly. Very attentive. This place has regular bar food—-pizza,cheese steaks ect. But their fajita is exceptional, probably the best in the region.
Great place, I am a regular customer. I wasn’t to happy with the food during this visit. Proteins were severely over cooked. I will return as most of my visits have been extraordinary!
Group of 6ladies went for a birthday celebration. Good food, great service and surprise for the birthday girl.
I love coming here to see live bands. The stage and dance floor set up is perfect and if you reserve a table you can get there early and eat. The drinks are priced a little higher than I'm used to. Plus with a band playing they charge a cover. But when we go we are now prepared for that.
Always a good time here.
Bartender Linda gave me and my friends a great experience in your restaurant
Great atmosphere friendly staff
We went for dinner b4 a concert. No hostess that greeted us, I found her about a half hour in after we decided to sit @ the bar. Bar staff was great, friendly and might have been their saving grace. Food was decent. Nothing over the top. We had Burgers & Salad. Would go back to have drinks but wouldn't recommend to have a sit down dinner with a date.
Our food was good Our waitress excellent with very good entertainment. Not sure as to the seating arrangement as we reserved a table not knowing where it would be.Will recommend to family and friends.
Great service, but really geared to the crowd that's going out to party. We went for an early dinner, and it was clear that things were going to be ramping up after we left...and it was going to get loud and energetic. Bring dancing shoes!
Friendly attentive service even though it was really crowded. Aps were really good! You have to have the Banging Shrimp!! The entertainment was awesome!! They had the Don't Call Me Francis Band. They were fabulous!!! Also the outdoor bar area is really nice even though it was closed for the season you could still go out there and enjoy the beautiful fireplace. Perfect place to hangout with friends!
Met friends here for dinner and as it turned out we all ordered the same menu item - a burger with cheese and mushrooms. It was very good. My hubby & I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were among the best we've ever had. We went to hear the band playing that evening. The entrees are pricey but the bar food is very reasonable. Just be aware that when the band plays it's VERY noisy. Also, a minor point but there's a person handing out paper towels in the ladies bathroom and a tip tray at a strategic place. I don't like that but it wouldn't stop me from going.
Also, when they're busy parking can be challenging.
The fried pickles and the mojito were excellent! The salmon entree was just OK, had a slight fishy taste to it. The asparagus was huge, which is uncommon for many restaurants. It would have been so much better and more appealing had it it been roasted. I love asparagus, but it probably would turn off someone new to it.
The TV’s were unbearably loud at some points. Had it been crowded, the noise level would have probably led me to leave.
My daughters birthday gathering was excellent VIP was great!
Average food, decent drinks, awful service. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because another waitress kept intervening and brought our food and drink orders that our waitress failed to bring. This was on a Saturday night and the place was nearly empty, so no reason other than just being terrible at serving.
The appetizers were good but meals were only so-so. They had frozen drink specials that my daughter said tasted watered down. Band was great and people watching is always fun. A lot of bouncers that stay primarily at the door which didn't help when my purse was almost stolen. If my husband didn't turn around, it would have been gone. I think security needs to be everywhere in the place. Not just at the door.
