Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
We waited 15 minutes past the time we made a reservation for. We ended up sitting in the bar. Which was hard for one of our friends that's 7 months pregnant to sit on the chairs in that area just not comfortable. Our service was terrible. Everything we ordered cake out wrong. My Entree was not what I ordered s different server came back and took my plate after he insisted that's what I ordered. It wasn't. The bathrooms were disgusting there wasn't any soap they had a bottle of Dawn dishwashing liquid sitting on the sink. I have never been there and probably will not ever go back. The food is good, but everything else was a total mess.
Reservation for 6 made a week in advance and they sat us at a high-top in the bar. Entrees came out before the salads. Drink and Red Wine spilled down the back of my coat hanging on my chair (glad I didn't check my coat, only thing that saved me), and manager never came over to our table....not once during our entire time there.
Now, the waitress apologized profusely and took care of our wine and desserts, but still can not believe a manager never stopped by...completely unacceptable, because I now the entire side of the restaurant knew what happened, so I am confident he was aware too. Definitely not even close to our experiences at the Greenwood Village location, but I guess that is what happens when you expand.... they have lost quality control and attention to detail.
Many other options to consider before this place.
This was our second visit to Venice and we had family in town for Thanksgiving weekend. We had made reservations but they sat us in an undesirable, high traffic table at first where my husband got bumped into twice in the first five minutes. The table we were moved to by the windows had a light out above us so we all got out our phone flash lights to read the menu.
My first Grey Goose martini was awesome with 3 blue cheese stuffed olives. The second was awful with nasty tasting shriveled olives and the vodka was not the same. Gave it back. The entrees were good although more salty than we all preferred. Our waiter was friendly but he forgot all of our side dishes. He comp’d us with after dinner drinks.
So not the best experience overall.
Good Italian food and prompt, courteous service. Portions were quite large, especially the Italian cioppino and the lasagna. Desserts were also quite good. Only disappointing appetizer was the carpaccio, which had almost no seasoning - although the beef was quite good.
We dined at Venice Ristorante on a Sunday evening for my birthday. We had a big party, most with separate checks and the wait staff was more than accommodating. Friendly service, impeccable menu, and extensive wine list. Couldn't have been any better. I highly recommend the calamari to start, and the cannolies for dessert!
Food was superb, waiter most helpful and gracious., the atmosphere is attractive and chic, my friends said their cocktail was ‘best ever”.
The food expediter who brought our plates was mixed up about which plates went to which diner, and looked irritated at us when we politely clarified (as if we’d inconvenienced him). This was the only ‘off’ note.
Will continue to come to Venice for enjoyable get-together with friends.
Out of town friends celebrating a birthday. Great time great food fantastic service. Went the extra mile! They raved about the food as they feel there are no good Italian restaurants in Austin Texas. Girls insisted on going back Sunday night for happy hour and were thrilled again with service and food. Boys were at the game. Thank you!!!!
Pacing was off tonight; service usually excellent. Water server had to ask if we’d been greeted after seating. Entree orders taken after appetizer arrived, leaving large menus taking up precious table space. Took awhile to get credit card back at end of meal.
What a lovely experience! I was looking to celebrate my graduation as if I was in my hometown of NY, NY eating at one of my favorite Italian restaurants.... After eating at Venice I can say this is my favorite Italian restaurant in Denver since I've come from NY a year ago. Waiters were friendly, knowledgeable about the food/wines, and sweet. Great service! Amazing fresh and flavorful food. Thanks for completing my special day with such a special dinner.
Beautiful place but tight and crowded. Had 8pm Réservation but weren’t seated until almost 8:25. Service was extremely, extremely slow. Very slow. Food came out but was one dish short. Side dishes did not come out until almost the end of the meal. Waiter was very apologetic and offered free dessert which was very nice but that too took forever.
Would be willing to give it a second chance but cautiously.
One of the few places where food has been the closest to authentic. The seating is a bit tight but the atmosphere and the service is at the top of the charts. I took my granddaughter there for her birthday day. The staff was on top of things and bought out the most gorgeous and delicious desert. Absolutely fabulous!!!! Thanks to the staff who made our dinner that more special.
This was one of the worst experiences we have had at a restaurant and we eat out very often. The service was deplorable. The waiter dropped water on me, the chair when we got seated was full of crumbs, then the waiter dropped a knife and later he spilled wine. The food was really greasy and we kept getting bumped by staff and customers at our table. They never asked us if our meal was good . All in all of we did not have a sense of humor and some optimism we would have left after the Ppitizers. It did not get better. Too bad because I used to enjoy this restaurant in the past.
Hostess seemed unable to find our reservation, which had requested a table in a quiet location for an anniversary celebration. Although we were quickly seated, we had to request to be reseated to a quitter, but still noisy, location. We were there quite early, and few other diners were present, but we were still seated in a location with little ambiance. Food was excellent, service very good, but we will not plan to return.
Venice made it special, on so many levels.
The occasion was dinner with a dear friend and everyone at Venice made it special for her. I let them know ahead of time it was a special occasion and they reserved the perfect table.
Even though they were busy Angelica, Tawny, and Alexis all took a moment to greet her and say hello. Dennis, the bartender, selected a wonderful wine. Cassandra, our waitress, was the perfect hostess. Always available without hovering. The lamb was perfect. The fish fantastic. A big thank you to everyone at Venice
