We have a great time, food was excellent and our server was very attentive.
Very good all around!
This visit was a big disappointment. I had a great experience last time and I was very anxious to go again. This time was the opposite. The service was lacking; my salad and gnocchi were too oily. The waiter did nothing about it even though I mentioned it. I don’t expect to go back. However, to be fair, my guests both enjoyed their meal. Unfortunately my experience was a great disappointment. Unfortunate.
Among my regular culinary preferences in the awesome LoDo district.
A great place to people watch and socialize. The food is good too. Awesome happy hour!
Butternut squash ravioli dish was outstanding, lasagna was not good at all. Surprised that a classic Italian dish like lasagna tasted like it had off the shelf oven ready noodles, very flour and grainy tasting. I've always loved this restaurant in the past. I'll continue to go for special nights out, but hope they can improve the lasagna.
We decided to try Venice for the first time for date night. It was a memorable experience! Our waiter, Luis, was cordial and knowledgeable about the wine menu and tonight’s specials. The ambience was right out of a movie, the veal and chicken Marsala dishes superb! Overall a memorable night, we can’t wait to go back to Venice Ristorante!
One of our two dinner selections was really over cooked and tasted like sawdust. Our server offered us a free dessert but declined to remove or reduce the price of a truly terrible dinner
10/10 recommend the bolognese. The wine we ordered, unfortunately, they didn’t have but our server recommended something similar and we were very satisfied.
In a word, disappointed.
Seated promptly. Restaurant was loud. The kitchen was backed up so service was slow (nearly 3 hours for dinner at 7 pm).
The bruschetta was lacking something. The main course was fair on average. Ravioli Salsiccia e Porcini used regular white mushrooms. Not a porcini to be found. Fair at best.
Tortelloni alla Parmigiana was good not great. Tortellini tasted frozen not hand made.
Ordered Crema Bruciata for dessert. No vanilla beans were harmed (or used) in the making of the dessert. Coffee was served lukewarm. When 'new' coffee was brought to the table it had a foam indicative of being heated with steam from the espresso machine.
Not what we expected to celebrate a special evening (birthday).
Food was not great!
It was dreadfully hot in the restaurant as soon as you walked in. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone greeted the people waiting in front of us. We sat down at a tiny table for two that you had to squeeze (genitals to face) to sit at the booth. The menu was tiny and not much of anything worth the price they sold it for. We walked out after waiting 15 minutes after sitting to get water or someone to acknowledge us. We had a reservation.
I recently moved to Denver and have found many of the highly-rated restaurants to be lacking in flavor, quality, and service. Most of my experiences have been mediocre food at high prices. Such is not the case with this gem of a restaurant. They have an extremely diverse menu at reasonable prices in a more "upscale" ambiance. The servers are all helpful and attentive. The food is great as well. I have eaten here four times and every time has been wonderful. From pasta dishes to seafood, you can not go wrong here. I highly recommend the Cioppino! Cheers to you Venice for rising above 99% of the restaurants in Denver while keeping your prices reasonable.
We were there from 715pm until 930pm and when we got our food it was mediocre at best. Calamari and shrimp over cooked. Veal was tough. Service was terrible.
My friends and I went there for my birthday dinner. Always a great experience - great food, great vibe, great service!
The food was very good. For the cost, I would have expected better and more refined service. Our water glasses were refilled with water from our other table mates glasses (they arrived a little late). Wine recommendations weren’t clear or pairings with meal options.
The tables were too close together which took away the ambiance. We heard our neighbors conversation all night, which was not very romantic on our Anniversary. The food was average. The best part of experience was Daniel. He was awesome!
The restaurant was very busy as it was Saturday night. It was also very loud and we were seated next to a boisterous group. The salad order had a beautiful presentation and was very large. We ordered risotto and a zucca ravioli type thing and both portions were generous and were very, very good. The prices were not expensive but we did not have any wine.
Third time here and the food never disappoints!!! Wine list is amazing and varied. Servers are engaging and knowledgeable about the menu.
Had a great time with the bartender and the food was good as usual.
Went with my boyfriend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, food and drinks were amazing, convenient location, lively atmosphere, and our server was excellent and even brought us dessert on the house to celebrate! Highly recommend and will be back!
My drink order wasn't correct - but I didn't complain. My entree wasn't quite what I thought I ordered but I may have not explained my order correctly
Classy place with granite countertop tables, curtains, and a sizeable wine display. Skip drinks and order desert instead.
Service incredible!! Food fast and AMAZING for absolutely affordable prices in the center of downtown Denver! Would recommend to anyone!
The Venice staff took such good care of our team for our meeting. They were very attentive with the drink orders, appetizers and the many "to go" food orders. Our team had a great event!
Best place ever! Owie— is the best and you have to chat with him when you visit. Amazing drinks and amazing food. Would definitely recommend for a date night!
Fine Dining Denver style. Superb food (the Carpaccio starter was enough for a main course), beautiful ambiance,
yet unpretentious and inviting. The manager stopped by to ask after us. It was a birthday celebration and they brought us a Tiramisu that was light as a feather and not overly sweet as is too often the case. For one lovely evening we were back in Italy!
The atmosphere is beautiful and the presentation of the food was incredible. We enjoyed our experience here.
Great meals. Great service. Easy parking. Valet right across the street.
The food was delicious and our server was great but when I made the reservation I added that we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and they sat us all the way back in a corner facing a wall. The wine we got was $110 and upon looking it up after, we found it it was a $30 bottle of wine - like I said, delicious but the wine markup is a bit ridiculous. The food was more reasonably priced but for a birthday, I would expect to be sat somewhere with a bit more ambiance.
Loved the menu, the vibe, all of it! Everything was top notch.
Our experience was impeccable!! Our server OUTSTANDING! Food….. OUTSTANDING!!!! I’ve eaten out a lot and I’m in The industry and this had to have been the best overall experience I’ve ever had.
Always nice to dine at Venice when in town. Enjoyed talking with Owie the Assistant Sommelier this visit. Love the wine room view!
Food was amazing
Sitting was way to tight
Servers appeared overworked; frustrated
Goof pasta, nice wine selection
Our waiter was great and so was the food, especially the risotto. I’ll definitely be back in a few weeks I’m sure.
Way less expensive that I would have thought. Great visual presentation too. Incredible wine list
Love this place perfect for any celebration
Had a nice date night!
Food was terrific, Large group of ten and the food was perfect for everyone. Service was solid and server was doing his best in a busy environment where Covid had impacted the restaurant's facilities. We will return!
