Good food great setting. Had an awesome time.
Venice was amazing and even while many restaurants are short staffed and service has suffered this place still was spot on!
First time at this restaurant. Good food and service. Was loud in the bar area.
I had high hopes for Venice. The food was very good, I had even planned to have dessert and port, but after waiting so long for the rest of the meal I simply lost patience.
Although I arrived 20 minutes early for my reservation, I was seated quickly, so far so good. However, after that timing took a serious downturn. Once seated I waited 15 minutes for a glass of wine, 30 minutes for a salad and over an hour for the entree.
Given the shortage of service employees, I would normally have given the restaruant a pass on this, but both the kitchen and the server were cleary able to properly service the tables around me.
Overall an unfortunate experience, I may be able to see past it to try again in the future.
Our dining experience at Venice Ristorante was exceptional. We were traveling to Denver from Philadelpia which is a paradise of Italian cooking. This restaurant exceeded are expectations. The service was remarkable despite how busy it was. Luis our waiter assisted us in choosing a great Barola wine and our entrees. He recommended veal which was very well prepared and provided a small side of fettuccine Alfredo. The entire meal was delicious. The entire staff was efficient, polite and friendly
The food was amazing. Our first drink took about 20 min to come. My husband ordered a glass of wine to have with his app and that did not come till dinner which was 25 min late. Service was very slow and they did not seem to be understaffed. There were a lot of waiters and waitresses around. Ambiance was nice but it was very crowded and very noisy.
The pasta with raised wild boar is one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had.
The food was amazing! The staff was so helpful in helping us pick out wine for our meal. It was such a cool restaurant with great food!
The ambiance, service, and location are great, but we didn’t enjoy our food. Maybe some of the other dishes are good, but would recommend avoiding the tortellini and charcuterie board.
My date and I had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, one of the best filet mignon in Denver. The clams and linguine was spectacular. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Absolutely fantastic wine. Will definitely be returning.
This was our first time visiting Denver. Venice ristorante was one of the highlights from our trip. Everything from the service and food recommendations by Luis to the hospitality and wine recommendations by James the som.
Had reservation for my husbands birthday dinner. Drinks at bar prior where bartender was working alone, but still gave us good service. Did not live our tiny table in back of restaurant since larger tables were available with minimum customers. Our waiter was amazing -attentive & friendly. Surprised us with a complimentary dessert for birthday which was a special touch.
Food and cocktails were great. The wine selection is exceptional. The restaurant itself is very nice. Service wasn’t top notch but maybe we caught them on an off night. I will try them again for sure.
great service. great food.!
We enjoyed our evening, the food was just ok. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and they didn't have them, so our server helped us with the wine. The service was amazing, we'll go back because of that.
Great as usual. Service a bit slow but not bad. Jack
The Venice was an excellent restaurant across from Union Station in a great older building. Nice ambiance. great food, good service. Prices reasonable.
Awful experience! No staff was wearing masks and despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes to be seated! I think they changed owners because everything was terrible: waited for ever to be waited on, then the food came out an hour later. I ordered lamb ossobucco which was very hard because they didn’t cook it long enough, and the wine arrived 25 minutes after the food got cold!
The service was terrible because they hire anyone that looks like a prisoner , the music was loud and hard metal instead of ambiance Italian or something easy on the ears for an Italian restaurant! Our waiter looked like he just got paroled ! Left there very disappointed and never going back! To add insult to injury, I had the worse stomach aches all night from the food! I don’t mind paying expensive prices for food, but the price should be a reflection of the value, quality and taste of the food, not just for the name of the food or the restaurant! Waste of money but my dog loved the left overs ! In conclusion do not order the Ossobucco ! FYI , a glass of 6oz of wine cost more than a bottle and it was pretty bad as well, very vinegary !
Wonderful food and ambiance and a great location!
HIGHLY recommend this authentic, mouth-watering Italian restaurant with an unbeatable wine list!
Good and service were very good. We sat in bar and music was loud. May have preferred dining room.
The food is fantastic unlike its service. We have waited 20 minutes to get the server to show up, drinks another 15 minutes, half way through our dinner our second drink showed up.
It’s just that post pandamic bacame great excuse for lack of service!
family get together. the service was poor for the price of the cuisine. my ravioli came out cooled and the fritte special appetizer (shrimp calamari, scallops) was not as advertised…comparable to bar food. however, my table did enjoy the veal meatballs. the spimoni gelato was more like ice cream and the cannolis with a maraschino cherry were a let down.
We dine here each time we are in town and we always have a wonderful experience. This time around they were a little off. The server was not sincere and attentive in his approach as if he did not care. Also, I ordered the Branzino but was very disappointed in the dish. It was simply a Sea Bass smothered with heavy sauce and vegetables. I have to say though that the new Sommelier James is the real deal. I will come back for sure but I will stick with the basics and hopefully get a more attentive server.
Food was incredible and our service was even better! We had a group of 12 and they were more than accomodating. Would definitely return.
Food was great. Waiter Lewis was fantastic
The food is always great! The tables were a little close together so the noise level was very high which made is hard for casual conversation.
What a surprise to find this gem across the street from union station. I had a few hours before I had to leave for the airport on the train so I decided to go to Venice Ristorante for happy hour. What a delight! I love the smaller portion size so I can try many of their menu items. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. I honestly can’t wait to come back to Denver just eat here again. Lovely service An atmosphere as well.
Everything was delicious and our server was great! Will definitely be back
Food, service and atmosphere were excellent! We requested the patio and the tables were a bit small so I would eat inside next time. Highly recommend!!!!!
Love the menu, the food is authentic Italian. Not our first time enjoying Venice. Our friends from out of town thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. It was also quite nice to meet the Proprietor Alessandro.
The food was fantastic but the service lacked. It took a very long time and for expensive food it took very long.
Very rude people hosting. Took them 10 minutes to find our reservation and the outdoor patio was on the street and had graffiti. The manager was especially rude and told us if we wanted to sit outside we had to say wine patio or something. He was extremely rude and the other host was clearly not trained! Food was fine but getting the check took forever as well. Sucked to get this bad experience after my sisters wedding dress fitting…
Went before the game sat outside was really good
We had our anniversary dinner here on the night of 9/23/21 and had the best time from start to finish. Our server German, as well as the sommelier working that evening. Really took the time to go above and beyond and seemed to genuinely take an interest in us and our experience. Will 100% be back and highly recommend.
We came out to celebrate a birthday. The food, the atmosphere, the wine, absolutely everything was top notch. Our server, Lori, was amazing and mad outstanding wine recommendations. 11/10 would definitely come back again!
Staff was very accommodating and service was just right. All dishes served from apps to desert were spot on. Would definitely recommend.
One of the nicest eating experiences in America ever.
Food was excellent. Though they were short staffed and it was obvious our waiter was handling extra tables, he was excellent and didn’t miss a beat. Environment a little noisy and a little too closely seated for my taste.
Absolutely fantastic dining experience! Great wine list, food was absolutely perfect! Great service and ambiance. Would go back again next time I'm traveling through Denver.
