Our table very comfortably sat the 5 of us with a wonderful view of the water. The service was friendly and professional. The food was tasty and filling.
I was surprised by the upscale feel to a water view restaurant in a quiet, secluded neighborhood with outside dining to boot.
Definitely will return. My zucchini flowers and bronzini were wonderful - my husband loved his soup and veal.
As always- great food, service, and views!! We love it here and will keep coming back!
My wife and I had a good time. The seafood chowder wasn't that great, it had the consistency of a soup . Our meals were good, my wife had the scallops and I had the Venezia Lobster ( not worth the market price of $50) - the dessert was the winner here - a bread pudding number. Our waitress Taryn was great as was the lady pouring our water. The water view are always good.
It was a very pleasant experience, however, my and my boyfriends food came out warm instead of hot (the way it should have been) other than that we had a wonderful time.
We often gather at Venezia because we can always be certain of excellent food and service at reasonable prices. The magnificent views of Boston and the waterfront make it an exceptional experience.
I ordered swordfish on a salad. the piece of swordfish was great however the amount of salad was minimal. My friend ordered scallops on a salad there were 6 small scallops on minimal salad greens. for the price not good value. The drinks were so so. we asked for extra dry martini and they put way to much vermouth. the waiter was rushing us. we found out why he was leaving at 10 and made us pay before we were even finished( yes we could order more liquor at bar) but no coffee or dessert. too bad the water view and skyline of boston was very nice
Haven't been here in years and it was just as good as I remembered. Went to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious and service was great. Nice table by the windows - too bad it was cloudy rainy day. Really nice place to go for celebration or a great meal!
Excellent service & food! Highly suggest Hugo in restaurant & Gerry at bar!!
We felt rushed by the wait staff. The view was pretty but we couldn't enjoy it because we felt so rushed. The food was adequate, not great and not worth the price. I had to send back angel hair pasta because it was undercooked and hard. I ordered chicken picatta that was bland.
Would never recommend it to anyone and would never go there again.
Love this place for special occasions. Tables are not on top of each other. Phenominal Food. Very nice view. Have dined here about a dozen times and have never been disappointed.
Venezia was awesome. Took our aunt for her 90th birthday and we all(6) loved it.
Got a sitter & went on a date with my spouse. Host put us at a table covered with salt or sugar with a wet chair. It took the waitress a long time to take our order. Ordered Caesar salad and iceberg wedge salad. Portions are really small, but salad was ok. I ordered the short ribs & polenta. The short ribs were too salty to eat. They were also tough. It seemed as though they were previously frozen & cooked in a pressure cooker. They didn't have that fall off the bone texture you'd expect. The polenta was flavorless. I only ate a few bites & still felt hungry when we left. My husband ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon. It tasted like a big piece of bacon masking the taste of the filet. The waitress would drop food off and leave right away. It had a banquet type of feeling. The noise level, families video taping each other and taking pictures made it feel like we were at a wedding. We felt rushed to finish up and pay because there were other families waiting to be seated. If you enjoy a high end restaurant with great service, I wouldn't recommend. We've been to the Mother's Day brunch which is great, but really dissatisfied with our restaurant experience.
Had the Venezia rizzotto and it was just delicious! Its right on the water so the view is amazing. Can't go wrong here with exception of price but then you get what you pay for!
Delicious food, great service, upscale ambience, beautiful view!
Went for lunch for Boston Restaurant Week. Value for food served was very good. Excellent Seafood Chowder. Could've been a little thicker, but overall very good. Boneless short ribs were excellent. Very good sized portion. Molten Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was excellent.
However, ordered iced tea. Was served in a flute glass, rather small portion. Asked for " a little more tea" and was served another glass of the same and was charged for the second glass. This has to be the only restaurant that doesn't refill iced tea but instead elects to charge for the refill.
Not a good way to bring back customers.
DINE BOSTON - Excellent value, delicious food ,service could have been more attentive It was a birthday celebration.
I was very disappointed with the food. The bread was hard and our meals were not good either. We sat outside on the water which was nice but that was the only thing that was good about the experience. The waiter was nice as well. I would not recommend it.
The food is always excellent. All six members of our party enjoyed their selection. A great night out. The only drawback is that it can be very noisy. I would still recommend it.
Everything was great. Service was excellent. The dish that we ordered was very good, although a little peppery which we did not expect.
Noise level was very high. It was difficult to talk to my wife even though we were sitting next to one another. I am assuming that this was a lively Saturday night crown. You obviously cannot force them to keep the noise level down if there is a celebration occurring.
If we do go back, I think we might do it on a weekday.
the service was slow we had a 6 o'clock and we just had dinner and we didn't leave till 8:30
We enjoyed our dining experience and the food was very good. Service was excellent. It was very noisy, but there were lots of groups that seemed to be having a great time. Very happy atmosphere. Would go there again, but try for during the week, not on weekend.
Fantastic view of Boston and the waterfront. Great atmosphere and service. Our water was filled constantly and the food was excellent.
Great views while dining. The sea bass was great and service was fast.
Venezia never disappoints. We intended to go for restaurant but ordered off of the lunch menu. I ordered the chicken piccata which was great and my friend ordered seafood risotto which she raved about.
You cannot beat the view. Waiter was very attentive. Decaf coffee was out of this world!
Great food, excellent service. The only criticism I have is that the Brussels sprouts that decorated the plate were so hard that I almost broke a tooth.
Venezia has long been a special occasion spot for us. The waiter's service was excellent. However the hostess seated us beside a large, very loud family party when there were other tables available--not smart.
The food was not up to typical Venezia standards. Maybe because it was restaurant week, the kitchen was cutting corners. We ordered from their regular menu--- not the special menu for restaurant week. My rissotto Venezia, a signature dish for them, was sloppily presented. It usually contains whole shrimp and scallops , this time the sea food was chopped up and had a vague chemical almost chlorine taste--a real disappointment.
With the noise and the mediocre food we decided to skip coffee , sambuca, and dessert which is our custom. I'm hoping this was just a off night.
Very disappointing. Would think they would have better menu for restaurant week to attract new customers. Seafood chowder not good, beef short ribs chewy- have had better pot roast.
Would not recommend to anyone.
Went for our anniversary. Great value, good portion size. Staff is friendly. Wine list looked pretty good but I didn't partake. Also didn't have desert.
Food didn't taste fresh. Service was poor. Ok view. People were playing own music at tables from cell phones. Very annoying.
