Venezia Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I came here for my birthday. We had an early reservation and got right in. Our server was prompt, polite, and took care of us. The food was delicious! We started with the calamari, I had the special burboun glaze short rib which melted in your mouth. My husband had the veal parm and said it’s the best he’s ever had. We got the French kiss martinis which we yummy! And the tiramisu was to die for. This was the perfect date night. Well worth the prices.
Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere.
Our conversation during the appetizers and main entree suffered somewhat due to the fact we were too busy devouring the delicious appetizers and main course. Conversation resumed during the after dinner coffee.
We had a great time. Waiter was excellent.
I had forgotten we were so close to the holidays so of course the restaurant was at capacity with folks dining before their theater matinee. All good - made for a lively atmosphere. Despite the large crowd we did not feel rushed and the food and service were as usual above expectations.
There was no box for me to check above in the recommendation area which would have been - just fantastically prepared food with an extensive menu. Thanks for giving my staff a great holiday lunch!
Met some friends for dinner......this location seemed to be our midpoint and has plenty of parking. We had a late arrival and the hostess was very accommodating about pushing back our reservation. Food was wonderful, service was excellent......really nice staff. Highly recommend!
Overall, the food was good and you get an excellent view of the Boston skyline. Despite the restaurant not being very busy (it was a Monday night), it was loud due to a large table of older women who were wearing too much perfume. The perfume unfortunately masked the taste of the food. The food was well prepared and presented. Service was good but a little fast for what was supposed to be a romantic dinner, and also too fast for a restaurant that wasn't busy. I'd definitely go again despite some minor shortcomings.
We really enjoyed Venezia restaurant. Our server did a great job, helping us choose specials that fit what we were looking for and recommending a great wine from the winery that is connected to the restaurant and paired well with our meal. The food was excellent and came in generous portions. There was a beautiful view of the city across the harbor. We came on a chilly autumn night, but we plan to return when the weather is warm again and enjoy the waterfront area near the restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful dining place. Staff is extremely friendly, informative and all seem to enjoy attending customer needs. Food is always exceptional, plated nicely, fresh and always enjoyed!
Sat at front window by bar area and enjoyed the live music and entertainment...still able to carry on dinner conversation with no problem at all.
Kudos to all, keep up the good work!
36th wedding anniversary. Hadn't been there in about 20 years. Hostess and waiter were prompt and courteous. We ordered a chianti and pinot grigio. Chianti was stale and pinot was tepid. Ordered calamari for an appetizer. Food appeared to have been sitting under a warmer lamp. Mainly small pieces. Entrée was lobster ravioli with clams and zucchini. Clams were the size of my baby fingernail. Ravioli was slightly under cooked. Not much lobster and not very tasty.
Raoul our waiter was great at recommending food for wife since she had food allergies and he knew the menu and ingredients. But took him 3 times to bring extra cheese for Caesar salad but worse to come, wife's meal was fine . I ordered steak special $36.00 was rare and wanted medium but was pure grizzle, couldn't eat and when Raoul came back asked to wrap up un eaten steak except for chewed grizzles on the side, I said " one of the worst steaks ever never had". He took it away and came back with our bill $107.00
Being a Saturday night; the restaurant was quite crowded and the noise level very high. For a restaurant in Dorchester, with many main courses priced at more than $30; the quality and presentation is no longer there. Honestly; I have become very wary of the many restaurants in the area that are apparently charging high prices for supposed "ambiance" while providing mediocre food for their dining customers.... I will not be back.
