We think that Vendemmia and Roccolto are both over-rated. The food was OK--slightly inventive, but bland. The noise level was deafening, with loud voices and hard surfaces.
Amazing food! Best restaurant in the area for sure: the food is sophisticated and delicious. It goes so far above and beyond your average neighborhood joint.
Vendemmia is a gem in the Madrona neighborhood. The food flavors and combinations of texture make for a great experience.
We loved our early evening dinner at Vendemmia. We were two couples and quickly ordered drinks and appetizers. They were slow in coming out but delicious. The snap peas with crab was fabulous, very fresh crab and the snap peas were bursting with sweetness and crunch. Everything else was equally delicious and well seasoned except the simple spaghetti in marinara, a tad too salty for my taste.
I rated atmosphere three stars only because it was a sunny day and gloomy inside. An hour later and it wouldn't have mattered.
Overall a great experience, I will definitely return again.
AMAZING!!!! Best pasta in Seattle. Really impressed and cute date night spot.
Delish! We have eaten at Vendemmia several times & always loved it. This time we had the tasting meal and it was even better. We will definitely be back to do the tasting meal!
all good, love the restaurant, high quality ingredients and tasty concoctions ...
service was pleasant but staff overwhelmed so the pacing was off.
we will be back often.
Restaurant week - just wanted to try something new to me
Vendemmia is one of our favorite restaurants. The pastas are always delicious. Our favorite starter is crab with snap peas. The food preparations and service are top rate. Where it falls down is in terms of ambience and especially noise level. Since all surfaces are hard, the noise level can be uncomfortable.
Our meals were delicious and the plate presentation was beautiful!
Restaurant Week helped keep the price in check. Food was terrific. Portions right sized.
Third time there, love it every time. It was a little busy, lots of hard surfaces so a little loud. But it’s delicious every time, and the staff are kind and hustling. Looking forward to going back again....
The food was really flavorful and fine but the portion size was SO tiny I left hungry, so that was pretty unfortunate. Is this because it was a Restaurant Week menu? I generally don't return to restaurants that have such meager portions -- just doesn't make for a great experience. Sorry!
We did the tasting menu. Everything was prepared perfectly. The snap peas with crab were beautiful. And the Pasta was yummy. Always a good choice coming here.
We went during Seattle Restaurant Week. Great value and amazing food. The environment is cozy and the cocktails are delicious!
No disappointments. Extremely fresh fish and cutting edge preparations. Don't miss it. get reservations.
Vendemmia is a fantastic local restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is lovely and attentive. The atmosphere is great especially when you can sit outside. It's a great value and a wonderful restaurant!
Loved the appetizers! My husband's steak was divine, but my halibut was just good--not wonderful. Dessert was good but awfully small portions. My drink was mostly ice.
The appetizers & main dishes offered during Seattle Restaurant Week were very good. The dessert offerings were less so with the sorbet being our favorite.
Great food at a faster pace than desirable. Plates whisked off the table seconds after dishing out and everyone pitching in to help. They’re efficient as all get out but the aesthetics of the dining experience would be helped if the pace was slowed. But great meal— go and enjoy.
I normally shy away from Seattle Restaurant week menus. They always feel a little like the B team. However, Vendemmia's menu was absolutely delicious. The shared starters were fresh and unique. They offered a variety and the staggered delivery allowed for a relaxed enjoyment. The entree options were all amazing and beautifully presented. We enjoy and appreciate the quality that Vendemmia always offers and they did not disappoint.
Service was excellent. Brussel Sprout, Burrata, and fingerling potato appetizers were excellent!
I have been mulitiple times and Vendemmia never dissapoints. Lovely cocktails, nice wines by the glass, amazing pastas and great salads/starters. I will keep going back.
Try the tasting menu for a special event. It’s inventive, interesting and a great value. Went with 4 girlfriends and we loved all the flavors.
Pasta dishes were excellent and just the right size. The pasta would have been very good even without anything else, but the dishes are clean enough that the pasta foundation still gets the highlights. Affogato desert was superior. Service was very friendly without being too much, and almost too fast. On the not-so-great side, the stupid pop music was far too loud and interfered with the conversation. A tune appetizer had excellent tuna and a celery root dish featured smart treatment of the main ingredient, but both of these plates suffered from too many add-ons (citrus, pistacchio, some other nut, etc.) that distracted from the flavor and texture, and made them hard to digest.
Overpriced. Mediocre. Disappointing.
With so many good eateries in Seattle, this is not the spot to spend your hard earned money. The food was not bad but it wasn't great either. At $15+ for a pasta dish, I expect more.
The chairs are super uncomfortable because they make you slide forward. When we were dining they were playing Dire Straits Genesis, etc. loudly. Not sure why since this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant.
The tasting menu was amazing, the noise level made it hard to hear the description of the food and for s conversation.
The food and service were superb.
Excellent. Best Italian food I have had on 40 years in Seattle. Highly recommended. Great prices.
Excellent flavor combinations, superb service by staff, great all around.
The restaurant was very cold for our entire party. Would love to be able to dine as comfortably as in our own home without having to layer up in sweaters and fleece.
We love bringing people to Vendemmia who have never been before. It’s a great neighborhood restaurant with a higher-end vibe. It is the best tasting menu value in the greater Seattle area, especially for a table of three or four people.
Fantastic food, great service, well curated menu. Best Italian food I've eaten in Seattle.
Consistently really good food in a nice atmosphere. Can be a bit loud and they do seem to want to take your order quickly so if you want to enjoy a leisurely meal, be sure to tell them or you’ll be done with dinner pretty fast!
Service was way slower than normal, things took a very long time.
We hadn’t been in a couple of years and found everything to be delightful. Split an appetizer, a salad and two pastas - tried a few different wines by the glass. Service was knowledgeable and gracious. Noise level - not as bad as most - didn’t play really loud music, though I think it can almost always be lower (and please keep belting pop Vocalists out of the dining room and the grocery store, airplane, etc). ;)
Delicious fresh straight forward good food
