This is a small, modern restaurant with very good Italian inspired food. There is something for everyone on the menu - yet it is not overwhelming. Everything we ordered was very good, and high quality. Portions are a good size in comparison to other similar places. I will go back.
I am a bit disappointed in my experience at Vendemmia. I’m a huge fan of the other restaurants in this group- Haymaker and Raccolto. They are both superb and accommodating. I was excited to try Vendemmia, but they fell short. The food was good for the most part. We had the tasting menu. All of the starters arrived at the same time, which was a nuisance and just too many flavors at once. I was a bit surprised at that. I am a gluten free diner, and always am accommodated at Haymaker and Raccolto, as they normally substitute SOMETHING while my dining companions enjoy their pasta course. I was given nothing. Not an option for anything, so I missed out on an entire course. That’s actually my biggest issue, and the reason I will not return. Just a very poor experience. Maybe I was expecting too much based on their other locations, I dont know. One other weird thing was that they sous vide a steak. A very fatty cut of beef at that. Unsure why they would use that method on a fatty piece of meat, but it didn’t matter much because the portion was tiny. I left hungry. That should never happen.
Great food as usual. Wait staff was short and not very friendly, otherwise very good
I love the food here. The flavors are so unique and wonderful, I have recommended Vendemmia to so many friends and family members - it truly is such a great experience. However, the management is a little interesting. Maybe it's just because of COVID-19, but there are so many rules at this restaurant given to you right away when you get there that have sort of turned me off on my last two visits. The customer service could use some work but our waitress was so lovely! I think it was the manager who greeted us (sort of) but one of us had forgotten a mask and we asked if they had any we could potentially borrow and the manager said no. So she seated us outside (it was fine, it was a beautiful night) but it was just sort of a clunky, awkward welcome. Again, our waitress was wonderful and had great recommendations. Will 100% be coming back to eat at Vendemmia but maybe will wait a few months until they chill out a little bit! Haha.
Absolutely delicious food! We really enjoyed everything.
Everything was delicious, fresh, forward and unique! Literally scraped the plates clean ... all four of us very impressed! Will definitely return.
Exceptional food and drink—unique and flavorful. Terrific service.
Overall great experience, from the service to food! Had the 4 course Chef Tasting. Overall, it was amazing! Thank you to my server who also helped me pair each course with a different glass of wine!
I had the 4-course tasting menu and everything single dish was incredible!
I am torn between a 3 and 4 here. I had to say the experience was just very weird. The pricing, menu, and portion sizes indicated a higher end restaurant, but it was definitely not a higher end restaurant. The wait staff didn't know the entire menu, and didn't know what was in the dishes. Some of our party were pescatarians, and the waitstaff couldn't answer if part of the dish had meat it in or not. The server who brought over the dish said there was "goose toungue" in the dish, which naturally confused us because of the name, but also because this wasn't listed on the menu. When the waitstaff came over, we asked what was in the dish, and as I mentioned, they had to go back and ask chef because they didn't know. It was quiet enough for us to hear chef speak, and we again heard "goose toungue". When the staff came over, goat's toungue was left out, and so we said oh the server and chef said goose toungue, and they immediately said oh that's a plant, and described the plant, which would indicate they knew what it was, which begs the question why they would leave it out. The portions were very small, all three of us left hungry, and they were out of bread as an appetizer. The staff seemed to be brash, awkward when setting the table, and tried to clear our unfinished dishes at least three times (happened with each plate and our drinks). We were the last people there, and the kitchen was cleaning up, but even if we wanted more food, we wouldn't have been able to order it because the kitchen was done. It was just overall, a very odd experience, I wouldn't say it was bad, and the food that we did get was very good, but just not what we were expecting and DEFINITELY NOT worth the price of the meal. Would recommend if you know this going in, but do not recommend based on the food/service to price ratio.
always an excellent dining experience.
Take out also great!
Everything was great. Seemed a little quiet - probably due to State mandates
Exquisite menu and charming service. A real treat and fantastic experience for our first time out since quarantine.
The tartare was spectacular as usual but hopefully they can go back to their previous supplier of buratta.
The tasting menu is really delicious. The appetizer course included three dishes (a salad, a vegetable, and a seafood dish) followed by pasta, a main, and dessert. Staff kind and helpful. Unequivocally recommend. :)
My first time dining in since the start of the pandemic, I was a regular before COVID-19. The portions seemed to have gotten smaller. They appear to be the former happy hour portions. A pasta dish and the halibut were over salted (I reported the pasta to our server). The seared tuna starter had little flavor. Severed chilled, we thought the tuna could have been anything. Like a cold potato. Sad to have to say, as they’ve survived a hard year.
Had a lovely dinner at Vendemmia. Food was delicious. Server was delightful and well informed. Felt like old times.
Everything was pitch perfect and the servers were all vaccinated which was reassuring.
Absolutely wonderful food and staff excited to be providing a great experience for their customers. Perfect night.
Everything was good. Limited Restaurant Week menu.
Delicious menu. The starters were amazing. I love having variety - smaller portions, but highest quality food and beautifully seasoned, paired, coordinated. A very nice dinner with great service.
This gem of a restaurant was perfect as we celebrated a friend's 70th birthday.
It turned out to be Restaurant Week and the selections (always limited during this time - COVID or not), were great. One of us ordered the one pasta dish with nettles, one the sole, and I had the steak. None of the mains were very large. I received 3 small slices of beautifully prepared steak that added $15 to the $35 per plate. That seemed rather pricey for that small of a dish. However, we were offered two wedge salad starters, tuna, a plate of 3 baratta on toasted bread, and a large bowl of delicious mushrooms with peas.
The pace of the meal was great. Cocktails were wonderful too.
The only negative (and that is an overstatement) was that we felt the waitstaff was rather "distant". For me, the waitstaff make or break your experience. Maybe it is the stress of the role or the masks, but my friends and I thought the waitstaff were less than warm and welcoming.
Otherwise, this was a great experience and I will definitely return!
Sat nite date night - first time at V, won’t be the last!
The food is creative and the service excellent. Everything was great but I was disappointed that my fish was obviously undercooked and had to be sent back. Once I pointed this out, they were apologetic and took care of the problem. Unfortunately it still ruins the dinner experience.
Not up to pre-covid standards. Menu was limited. Nevertheless a strong recommendation given the difficulties restaurants are having. Would do back.
Food out of this world! Love it there. We plan to go back next week!!!
The mushrooms were fabulous as was the burrata. The sole was the winner of the main courses.
Went for SRW and the set menu. Despite only two other tables occupied the room was very loud and very cold. The service was good and the starters, a selection of things for the table, were all delicious. The entrees is where things didn't impress. There was a pasta, pork collar or petrale sole option for the set $35 price. You could "upgrade" for $15 for hanger steak or halibut. I chose the halibut. The fish was cooked perfectly but was completely plain, which would have been fine if the tomato broth it was served in was good. It was mediocre and lacking in flavor. Husband ordered the pork collar (feeling like he should stick with the intended $35 "deal") and it was really tough, fatty, gristly and rare which was additionally off putting. He basically couldn't eat it. The desserts, chocolate ganache and triple cream cheese/honey were good. A couple sat outside so there was just the window separating us. He got the hanger steak which looked amazing and she got the nettle pasta which looked awful - barely anything and she was finished eating way before he was and it was clear she did not care for it. All in all I think the menu was a bit of a fail for showcasing your restaurant during SRW for what is supposed to be a good value.
The creative energy displayed in each course is just plain fun — and appreciated!
This is hands-down the best Seattle Restaurant Week value in the area. You rock!
I am a regular at Vendemmia. Since they have regulars, like spaghetti pomodoro. And I love oysters. Service is great. They change the menu seasonally. One of Seattle’s best
We had a great SRW experience. Sat outside as we requested, food was delicious. I missed that the steak was an additional charge, but that was my fault. I would definitely eat here again.
I told friends that I would just come here when I'm lazy to cook Italian for dinner (I have culinary skills). The level of care & sophistication in the cuisine is just as good as at some of the better trattorias & osterias I've visited elsewhere (including Italy!). I appreciate the neighborhood "feel" that this place exudes.
Enjoyed a wonderful Restaurant Week meal here recently. Everything we tasted was delicious and the servings were sufficient for a fine dining establishment. The first course is served family style which is nice because it allows for everyone to sample the various offerings. Our only advice would be to make sure that you bring a coat or sweater as they keep their windows open(assuming due to Covid) so the experience can feel like unheated outdoor dining.
We have missed their excellence while we were "on lockdown" but they have not forgotten every special touch. Superb job on health protections too.
Tasting menu was divine.
The Steak Tartare was phenomenal and the pannacotta to die for.
Took my 96 year old mom out for first dinning experience since COVID and we all have been fully vaccinated. Glad to see waitstaff fully protecting themselves and everything was delicious and our server excellent.
Wonderful experience at Vendemmia. Thank you to the chefs and staff for making it a memorable experience.
Great food quality. Good service except for enforced timed constrictions as we could not finish our meal unfortunatly.
Really enjoyed the tasting menu! Wonderful amount of food and all delicious.
