Overall great tasting menu. The main course could be a bit better, it was exceptional precovid
The pasta was by far our favorite part of the meal. So yummy, and perfectly cooked! The rest of the meal was less impressive, though the dessert was also good. Due to the pandemic, beverage options were pretty limited.
We had an 8:30 pm reservation. They were late seating us. By the time we got to our table, our server told us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes so we had to quickly get our dinner orders in. The whole dinner felt rushed. The food was good but I felt pressured to eat and drink quickly.
Food was really great. We went for Seattle Restaurant Week and were reminded why we attend this event. We'd never been to this restaurant previously and were treated to some great new flavors that did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised that all five appetizer options were included. We did not expect this, as it was not spelled out on the menu. The beef tartare and the sunchoke/potatoes confit were highlights in our estimation.
The restaurant was cold. I wore a sweater, but my wife did not. To be honest, though, life is pretty good when the biggest drawback is the ambient temperature.
Good service, with attention to keeping servers and customers safe.
The restaurant was dark, and very difficult to see our food. When we asked for a candle or more lighting we were told no. We purchased a bottle of wine with dinner, and were on our last glass just after dessert arrived. Halfway through dessert, one of the staff came to our table and told us we needed to leave in 5 minutes so he could clear the table for the next reservation. I understand that times are very tough with COVID, and restaurants especially are suffering. However, I would have appreciated knowing when we sat down to dinner that there would be a time limit. At the very least, a 15-minute head’s up to give us time to finish dessert and a glass of wine would have been preferred to the “guzzle” that actually occurred. The food and service up to that point were excellent.
I've dined at Vendemmia many times. The food is always excellent and the pasta is some of the best in Seattle. Cocktails are creative and service outstanding.
I've been a regular visitor to Vendemmia the past few years and typically love their food + service. I've usually thought they are expensive, but fine in terms of value for money because their dishes and drinks are unique. Not so this last occasion I'm afraid - didn't do restaurant week but the main menu lacked inspiration and variety. The oysters were average, the snap pea and crab salad was very mediocre, the spaghetti I had felt super generic and the prime rib was good but portioned poorly for the price. Drinks were super quick and I have to give a star for the Union cocktail. But again really not enough selection or really anything to get one excited compared to every other restaurant in this price range. Maybe come for restaurant week but skip unless they improve their current menu.
We went during Seattle Restaurant Week. Creative dishes, accommodating service, and generous portion we enjoyed. Hamachi with avocado was tasty although I personally would like wasabi taste added, and Albacore with quinoa was one health yummy meal. Looking forward dining Vendemia for creative yummy food.
Great COVID distancing and precautions. Food was AWESOME. Had their restaurant week menu and enjoyed FIVE different appetizers so that we could try different things. The short rib entree was so tender and rich in flavor. We had just tried another restaurant's version and theirs was good but this was great. Same for their version of panne cotta vs the other version. Can't wait to come back and enjoy their regular menu in the future.
The staff has done a great job navigating COVID-related restrictions. Food as always was fantastic.
Really enjoyed the Seattle Restaurant Week menu. Got to try several dishes I’d had on my list besides revisiting favorites. Already have my reservation to try more next week. The usual excellent food and service
Great service, wonderful food.... just as good as I expected it would be - but even better, I felt way more comfortable there than I thought I would be with the pandemic going on. This restaurant observes all the distancing, masks etc, unlike other places I have observed. And our waitress was so nice - really you won’t find better food, or place to support than Vendemmia. Be sure and thank the hardworking kitchen!,
We went to the 5:00 seating and felt very safe. The food was terrific and service safe and attentive. The appetizers were superb and generous. Keep this place in business, we highly recommend them.
Stunningly good food, everything exquisitely prepared. Unpretentious and pleasant modern space, very quiet, especially good for couples. Ambiance a bit library-like at the moment, but that's because of the plague. Very mindful and cheery staff.
The rest are just totally geared now to take out for the time being. That’s why I only give it a four-star at this time.
Always a great dinner at Vendammia. The service is excellent and the food delicious.
Service was particularly rude and food was bizarre
As always, Amazing food and great service! They were very respectful of the Covid environment. Highly recommend!
Oysters, Beef Tartare, Beets and Spaghetti. So delish which is the norm.
Enjoyed a tasty and elegant dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday! Vendemmia does a good job with following COVID safety practices.
It was a little chilly inside because the window was open, I think to keep fresh air coming in so it’s understandable, but it does make the ambience less romantic and cozy. Just bring a cardigan!
Per usual Vendemmia exceeded our high expectations. They knocked it out of the park tonight. Hamachi, Burrata with stone fruit, green beans, ridiculously good pasta as always, and flank steak. No room for dessert but our best experience there yet!
Cute and contemporary. Everyone was very courteous and very COVID19 conscious and prepared. Menu is small but the food was fantastic and reasonable given the caliber of food. Highly recommended
We eat periodically at Vendemmia and it's always a great and interesting meal. We haven't been since COVID. Food was good as always. Snap peas with crab and a great pasta dish made for an enjoyable evening.
They take Covid measures seriously!!
I felt very safe eating here during Covid and really enjoyed every dish we got!
We ate outside and had great service. The kale salad was solid. We finished with the pasta and flank steak which were perfect. I recommend this place for a date or a nice after work meal.
In the midst of COVID- 19, the staff and team does an incredible job not only following precautions as well as serving a sumptuous meal. Thank you.
Appreciate all they are doing in response to Covid. Just hard to have a great ambience and service during this time. The server seemed super skittish (understandable!) but kind of defeats the enjoyment of eating in a restaurant, might as well get takeout.
Outstanding food! It is our favorite restaurant. Always a great experience. The menu is interesting, and not too expensive.
Great food, as always. Had a well-mixed summer cocktail that hit the spot, and the wines were very nice. Service was friendly and prompt.
Spacing is appropriate for the times, but it certainly is more fun with a packed house. Keep supporting so we don't lose this place; they are offering food to go for those who don't feel safe eating out.
Mike.
The food at Vendemmia is outstanding that said as we know these are crazy times we felt unwelcome. My husband and I had date night and we were out in less than an hour.
Honestly, restaurants need to decide if they really want to be open. We followed all the rules and yet it was uncomfortable.
We had an outstanding experience at Vendemmia. The food and service was excellent. The restaurant is strictly following safety protocols so we had no concerns about dining there.
Always good, and menu is updated quite frequently to take advantage of seasonal items. This is a "go to" spot for me, and I have had only one meal here (in dozens of visits) that has not been terrific. Menu is not extensive but offers some really good stuff! Remains a local favorite.
Small restaurant with big open windows. Following COVID guidelines and felt safe eating there. Usual excellent service and food.
The food and service were excellent as was the COVID19 care. It was especially nice to be back and not just take out. I’ll be back next week!
The food here is exquisite! I love the seasonality of the menu.
Ate outside on the first night of reopening for dining after COVID shutdown - it was great! Service was fab and food delicious as always!
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The tasting menu at $50 a person is an amazing deal.
Wanted to try the place and it exceeded expectations. Will definitely be a regular.
Love this place. Everything was fantastic.
