Food was very good, steak was burned😢. The waitress was very nice but the people in front were not, they were little rude. The place was mega crowded. Not sure if they are following Covid protocol. There’s a plastic between tables but they are very close.
It is entirely acceptable and indeed common, for a restaurant to add an additional 20% gratuity charge on a bill with 6 or more guests but we were charged 20% automatic gratuity for a party of 3.
Due to pandemic could not enjoy as we wanted to celebrate for my husbands birthday. 90 min table Limit and the hostess let us know that we have exceeded our time a while ago? I was craving Arroz con gandules and it seemed very over cooked. Though, The ambience was great
So delicious and really friendly staff. Will definitely be back soon!
Absolutely Amazing!!!! Love the food , music , staff and the drinks are absolutely spectacular.
I’m very happy with the service and the food on a scale from 1 to 10 I gave it 100. They made my fiancé‘s first time great. Thank you vejigante restaurant
It was a surprise but they sang happy birthday to me! Much needed during these times and the food and drinks were all wonderful. Social distancing and cleanliness was ever present.
But the food is Delicious.
I absolutely love this place! I love the drinks and appetizers and how delicious the food is
The Creole Sauce... very disappointing on something that is not hard to make. A month ago I had it on my mofongo and it was salty. This weekend ot tasted like someone added bottled taco salsa to the sauce...not pleasing to the palate.
One of my favorite spots for dinner in all of Boston! Fun atmosphere too.
La comida especificamente la paella marisco Patricia arroz guusado, los marisco no fresco, el ceviche de mero mas bien parecida ensalada con dos o tres pedacito de mero.
Food and Mojito’s are amazing!!! Highly recommended
The carrucho was really hard to chew. many items at the menu weren't available.
Great food and service. Prices for the food are worth it
Always a great place
The Mofongo is SO good!!
Good traditional food. Will go back!
Creative cuisine, great drinks, busy, buzzy place on Saturday night.
:) Great time.
I absolutely love this restaurant! I've lived in Boston for the past few years and struggled to find a great Puerto Rican spot. I've now been to this Vejigante Restaurant multiple times and even ordered through Uber Eats when I need my Puerto Rican fix. I have yet to have something that I didn't like, but my favorites are definitely the Churrascon con Salsa Chimichurri and Trifongo.
Please has great food and an awesome ambience. Came from Worcester to eat there.
Excellent food. Love the Mojitos de parcha!
My friends and I had a good time! Food was great! However we felt rushed by the staff. It was a Wednesday night, we wanted to relax and have good time, but we hardly could because we were pretty much being signaled to pack up when we weren’t even done with our meals. We looked around and there was no other party waiting, and there were plenty of other tables. So it was awkward.
I loved it! The food was delicious and the service was great. I asked our server, Gabriella, for recommendations and she was a huge help! I will definitely be coming back!
The service was not that good. We had to wait about 25 min to get seated and they messed up our food order. The food also came out at different times so some people were done eating by the time their meal came out. The food tasted good it was just the service.
Food was amazing. Although we did feel a bit rushed.
The place is beautiful and we were seated pretty promptly. Our waitress got our drink order (mango mojito, passion fruit margarita and margarita brava) and they came out fast and were delicious. We ordered relleno de papas, platanutres with guacamole and yuca frita con mojo as appetizers. The rellenos were wonderful, the rest were good. For our meal we split the 3 mofongo sampler and the bistec encebollado with arroz con gandules. The mofongos were all good. The bistec was just ok, nicely seasoned but too tough. I am used to bistec encebollado that is so tender that you don't need a knife. This one wasn't. I found the arroz con gandules dry and a bit flavorless. The one I cook is much better. :)
My biggest issue is that we fell rushed the entire meal. The waitress kept coming back asking if we wanted a doggy bag even though we had told her that we were still working on it. Our (2nd) drinks were almost full when they started to clear our table. Puerto Ricans dinners are all about chatting and having a relaxed time, not being rushed. Despite the food being good, I don't know if I will return.
Loved the food and drinks
While everything was great, but the appetizers were outstanding! I highly recommend getting a bunch of apps to share with friends or just for yourself! The tostones with crab stew was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The portions are plentiful and easily shareable!
Good food is on point every time
Love the food; however, they need to improve with the service. It takes too long to serve the drinks, and overall.
Love this place
Loved the tamarind margaritas!! The plantain chips served with guacamole and pico were an interesting variation to Nachos. I loved the chicken and chorizo paella! And the tres leches was yum!!
As always great food. It is refreshing to have a tamarind martini.
Horrible food that seemed to have been cooked long before it was served. Won’t be back.
We didn’t really like that we had to ask for extra napkins or to have a water glass filled up but other than that everything was outstanding.
I was celebrating my birthday with my family. The service and food was upstanding. There has not been a time when I have been disappointed at Vejigantes.
