Authentic food from Borinquen! Delicious! Service personnel was very nice but did not know much about their menu, service was slow, but it's probably becuase they do not have enough staff in the kitchen. Definitlely worth the wait for the great food.
We love the food and our waitress Jessica is always awesome.
AUTHENTIC PR FOOD - If you like PR food this is the place in Boston. We have been several times and will be returning again.
waited an hour & 15 min for my entrees:)
Such a treat. The food was delicious. The service was great. It was such a nice break from this crazy world. We'll definitely be back.
Food was delicious and cocktails were strong and everything very reasonably priced. Also, they have a well-covered patio so you can sit outside even if it's raining!
Absolutely delicious, authentic food. Every bite was amazing and the drinks were creative, attractive, and yummy. Highly recommend the coquitini.
Love This Place. we will be back. The only thing that was tuff is the Parking.
My favorite authentic Puerto Rican rest every time I visit Boston . Absolutely amazing !
Great place to grab some food and drinks with nice music.
We ordered multiple items and couldn’t get them cause they ran out.
Really good vibe
The service was a little slow although it was early for dinner and there seemed to be plenty of staff. The servers though were helpful and there were no other service issues. The food was delicious. The menu is only available by scanning a QR code or on the website and the QR code didn't work for anyone at our table and there were no prices online so our bill was a total surprise though the prices did seem reasonable. Parking was a little odd, we tried one spot but the restaurant staff told us where we could park...around the back of another building and there were no signs but it ended up working ok. Despite some of the negatives, we did enjoy our meal and would likely go again especially now prepared for some of the oddities. Save room for the dessert. Our party of 3 each got a different one and they were all delicious!
Fantastic food. Great service. My favorite Latin restaurant in Boston.
love the menu selection. i’m a vegetarian and struggle to find options at puerto rican places. i’m so happy with everything about my experience at this restaurant.
Service was excellent. Enjoyed mufongo and paella and prices were reasonable. Food takes a while to arrive. Parking is limited.
I’ve never left a negative review on a restaurant in my life but this will be a first. I made a reservation and they didn’t even ask for my friends’ name when she arrived and had her sit anywhere. Then they told Open Table we never went. I was very disappointed in the mofonguitos. Way too much garlic and the sauce was watery. I was so hungry and unsatisfied that I had to order the appetizer AFTER my meal. The chicken empanada appetizers were better than my actual meal. The service was mediocre at best and I really hope they improve.
I think they change the chef because this time food was awful then the price uff I not going again
So good I would definitely recommend! Parking is strange but worth it
Me and my wife favorite restaurant in Boston food and drink is A+
Lovely staff. Very attentive. Plantains were in general a bit on the mushy side - the tostones with salmorejo were a bit thick and mushy, loosing the crispy edges... BUT flavorful with LOTS of cangrejo that was perfectly delicious. As was the fried calamari. I found the mofongos a bit pasty (maybe made in food processor or the plantains were ripening?) but texture aside, DELICIOUS flavor. My churrasco was perfectly medium rare, more on the rare side as I like it, but my husbands was a bit more medium, which he didn't care for as much BUT drenched in garlic mojo made it perfect! LOVE their flancocho - perfection. When you have antojo - their food is delicious. Some hits and misses on this trip, but overall, worth treck from 40 miles away!
Great authentic puerto rican food with outdoor seating available
The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and hot! The service was polite, but a bit slow and it took a while to get our food. Otherwise, it was a great experience - we’ll be back!
Honestly I don’t think I’ll ever eat there again. Had a reservation for 6:15 we sat there for about 40 to 45 minutes before they even came to ask us for drinks. We were dead smack in the middle so it was pretty hard to avoid us… Sat us right by the door it was cold, when the food got there the meat was cold as well. You could tell the food was sitting for a while before we got it. Ordered some stuff to go & didn’t get the 3 leche cake we asked for.. They over booked the place it was crammed to the point where we’d get bumped into while we at.. very disappointed ..
The food was amazing, the drinks were really really good the only thing that was bad was parking I wish they had reserved parking for there guests.
Food is UNREAL!!! Go there !
Air conditioning not working that day. Service kind of slow and there were not that many people when we got there.
Definitely recommend getting a few small plates to share. Excellent flavors and variety. Some dishes better than others, but overall a really enjoyable dinner experience!
Our experience at Vejigante Restaurant was horrible. I’ve been to Vejigante Restaurant several times, but the last 2 times I’ve visited the service has been horrible. The host seemed annoyed when we asked if we could sit outside, she was visibly upset because she had to add a couple of chairs to the table outside. Every single person we interacted with that worked at the restaurant either seemed miserable, or were rude. The waitress that brought us the waters pretty much threw the bottle of water and glasses on the table, didn’t say hello, didn’t even smile. We asked for a couple of more minutes to take a look at the menu and the waitress almost didn’t return. We had to call her after about 20 minutes of waiting to place our order. The place was dirty, our table was sticky, the booth that I sat at was so sticky that my dress got stuck to it when I got up to leave and left a sticky residue on my dress. The staff started sweeping and putting chairs aside at 9:30, making us feel uncomfortable and rushed. Our waitress made us feel like we were bothering her at every interaction we had with her, which was only to place our order and get our check (we didn’t have any additional requests). The staff didn’t deserve the 18% tip that is included on the check. They didn’t even deserve the minimum 15%, but I was forced to do 18% because it’s automatically added in the bill. I’m not usually the type of person to write bad reviews, but last nights experience was so bad that I had to. I will never return to this place, and I will not recommend it to anyone.
The waitress did not give us a good service, we always had to called others to asked for our food.
Amazing as always ! Food always so flavorful ! The staff are great
Love this place! Food was great as usual, the outdoor patio seating was really nice and comfortable, and the staff was very nice.
Delicious food! I worry about cleanliness I’ve never seen so many flies in the outdoor patio of a restaurant before. Great neighborhood gem tho
Food was very delicious, the only complaint I have is the conch, it was tough, it could have been pressure cooked or cooked a bit longer to make it softer.
Food was great but it was hot in the restaurant with no ac.
Exceptional and friendly service. The food was to die for!!! Made me wish I was in San Juan.
I appreciated that they took my party in before our schedule reservation time. But they were short staff and the waitresses were running all over the place which made them forget about something we kept requesting. Overall it was a okay place.
The food was over priced and not even good tasting at all. Never will come back here again. Multiple servers there but took them way too long to come get our order. Also asked for a cheesecake or a piece of cake to sing happy birthday and no one ever came with that.
Vejigantes is a great place to have a special occasion meal at with friends.
This is a great place to go with friends. I went with a small group for a birthday celebration and service was great. The waitstaff was super kind and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!
