The food was great! However, we went on a pretty slow night and the food still came out slow. The servers were quick to refill the waters though! Nice authentic puerto rican food with a cool ambiance.
Delicious great service and amazing servers definitely going to go back.
Restaurant was highly recommended, but I was disappointed, as was my Puerto Rican friend who dined with me.
Fabulous authentic Puerto Rican food. Good price great service
As usual food is delicious
The server was attentive
The music rocks
Viva Puerto Rico
Small with intimate feel like sharing part of a culture, not just coming to eat. Love their birthday celebration. Cumplianos Feliz
We love PR food, and were happy to discover this restaurant. Most of the food is genuine PR but there are a few Spanish and Mexican dishes thrown in. The arroz con gandules and maduros were outstanding, the pasteles had outstanding masa but could have used more filling. The cerdo were cooked way too long and were dry, hard and stringy instead of succulent. We will be back hoping for even better.
Everything was ok but the music. It’s good music but too loud, then you have to yell to the people at your table to have a conversation.
I always come here good food good service the food reminds me of the good food back home on the island Puerto Rico
The breaded fried chicken chunks is absolutely amazing. Everything I've tried here is delicious and flavorful but try the breaded fried chicken chunks. You'll thank me.
Amazingly genuine Puerto Rican food! Delicious and just how I remember it.
The popularity of the restaurant is growing too fast plus there is a bunch of Puerto Ricans moving to Massachusetts on which will definitely go to the restaurant. The restaurant needs to get more space cause it's popularity is getting bigger than what is producing. Overall, is a great Puerto Rican place.
Always enjoy our meal at this authentic jewel
Quick seating And good food
Me encanto lo
Único que es bastante oscuro para mi gusto , pero la
Comida súper buena y el trato tambn .
Service was HORRIBLE. The food was alright. We did not have one set server and they didn’t even check in if we even liked the food.
I just visited this restaurant and the food was excellent as well as the service, the only complaints i have is that when i got there i parked right in front of the restaurant and it looks like you are not supposed to park in the street other wise you will get a ticket like me. It looks loke there is valley parking but when I arrived nobody was attending the parking and nobody told me that I couldn’t park there so i got a $90 parking ticket for ( no stading zone) which i think is ridiculous and it made my experience a little frustrating but other than that the food is great.
Recommended by my sister. Brought my boyfriend there to celebrate my birthday. We are both from PR and were pleased with the taste from home. Food was good quality, tasted delicious, drinks were nice. Service was good and no issues with wait time: called at 8pm and made a reservation for 9:15, got there a few minutes early and were seated early.
Usually one of my favorite places to dine at with my girlfriends, but we were a bit disappointed with our food this time. All of our dishes came with meat and all of our meats were dry. Great guava and mango margaritas ! They have a great appetizer sampler that I recommend trying.
Is a nice place to small , the tables are close to each other if you trying to go out on a date is to close to the other couples . I didn't feel okay with that . Not enough space to move around , to give the waitress and people to pass by one of the tables where un levelled so it keeped moving side ways. Till our waitress put a paper under it. I like the low light atmosphere with candles but to over crouded after 7 or 8 . People standing around in a group i could hear there convo, and our next couple convo also they where a couple of inches away from us made us think we where right there with them so inconvenient. The parking is insane i had to get out my car walk towards the place and ask for the valet guy. You can't park car infront restaurant and wait for valet because is in front of a small busy street so you have to park you car in a side walk walk towards the restaurant and ask for valet guy. Food is good but my mofongo was to garlicky they put to much of it . My husband plate of rice was to small it waa annoying they could've had put it in a bigger plate .
Waited way too long for entrees that were poorly prepared (mofongo trio. Lobster old and fishy, beef old and tough). Chicken dish dry as a bone. Can't tell whether the poor food quality was the result of carelessness by the owner or a poorly skilled chef. Very disappointed.
This place was amazing! Great service, food was incredible...
Always go here to eat when in Boston and this time was no different great food.... delicious
for some reason food kept coming out cold and mufongo wasn't on the mark. But every experience isn't going to always be the same. This day they were a little off but I would still go back. I love this place.
While the food and drinks were delicious the service was lacking. It’s that type of place that if you have more than 6 in your party the type is included so the service suffers since the staff knows this. Our first server mid meal decided to switch with another one, even though the second was better than the first server I still found that rude. But again the food was delicious and it was priced as most restaurants in the South End so most likely will venture back.
Food was amazing. Overall it was good just wished that the dining room was bigger
We were a group of four. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees to taste, and the food was delicious. We plan on returning soon.
When we first walked in all the servers were just gathered like hanging out .. we were the only ones in there and they seemed annoyed almost at the fact a group had walked in...Our server paid no attention whatsoever when we were ordering our meals and ended up messing up 3 out of 5 orders.. the food it’s ok but a little overpriced for what it is.. it used to be much better in the beginning but now seems like there’s no concistency
Love this place, I have not seen any other places that have authentic Puertorican food in Boston area.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Food was delicious as always and service delightful
It was my first time at this restaurant and a last minute decision to eat here. The place was pretty empty when I arrived and was pretty packed by the time I left. They have outside seating which would be nice if the weather was not 90 degrees outside. The food was very good. I had the paella marinara. The rice was very fragrant which I have not experienced with paella from other restaurants. I had a couple of appetizers also but don't remember what they are called. One was like a pastry but the outside was not flaky. It was l pretty tasty but I think might be better if it was flakier. The drink coquitini was yummy and had a strong coconut taste. All in all, I liked this restaurant and would return to try other dishes. The servers was very nice but service was a little on the slow side.
Food was good only thing was I guess the AC wasn't working properly and was SO HOT inside. It felt cooler outside than in.
My wife and I were NOT impressed with this restaurant., we thought the restaurant was more formal, ... judging by advertising ... we both thought the restaurant is way over-rated., the Service was Awful, the food was exceptional, the atmosphere was was definitely undersirable. ... I am not cheap, but I definitely think you DO NOT get what you paid for, dinner was well over $110.00 and not worth over $50.00 .... we will definitely not be going back. ... had to park over three city blocks away, Usually when an establishments has “Open Table” ... its a half way decent restaurant .... this “by far” did not live up to that.
If you like loud music and donnt mind slow service you will enjoy the place. Food was ok. Service was very very slow. The music inside was loud, the music outside was loud and the doors were open. Tables were overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable. If you’re looking for authentic PR food this is your place.
Wonderful! Just wonderful. Took the wife out friday night. She heard of this restaurant a while ago and we were finally able to go. Love the overall feeling of this place. We Were both born on the island and this gives us a lil bit of home in boston. The staff was wonderful and food was amazing. Definitely will be back.
Food was amazing, just lacks on service but if you can tolerate that then it’s a must go.
We really enjoyed the Canasta de Pernil and the Tres Leches.
The food was absolutely delicious.
Excellent food, large menu .. left us curious about all the dishes we must come back and enjoy. Convivial atmosphere. One modest nit to pick (or maybe not so modest, depending upon whether you are a purist): I ordered paella, which was excellent and arrived nicely served in the traditional metal pan. But, it was obviously not cooked in the pan, as even though the paella was piping hot, the metal pan was not. Nor was there any of the telltale crust in the bottom of the paella.
Very poor service. Had a party of 10. Food came out for 4 of us then had to wait 15 minutes for the rest. Twice they came out with the wrong order. Food came out cold. Had to ask for napkins and utensils because non were provided.
Will never dine here again
