It uses an abundance of fresh herbs and vegetables for texture and color, marinated meats in spices rather than relying on excess oil for cooking or for enhancement of flavor. We feature authentic dishes from the North, South and Central Viet Nam. The foods of Viet Nam are prepared with both French and Chinese influences that date back some 2,000 years and one can see this reflected in the dishes served at V Cafe (VietCafe).
To start, try our Pho Ga Herbed Chicken Soup, Pho Bo Herbed Beef Soup or Ginger-Lime Lemonade and vegetarian entrees.
Always great food. Love this place and love the atmosphere.
I love VCafe for its great Vietnamese food and the physical space. Just wish it didn't become so noisy when customers are there. All those beautiful hard surfaces do nothing to muffle sound.
We went over the weekend and had no trouble getting a reservation. The food was great. They also have a heavy had for the glasses of wine. Will come back soon.
Lychee martini and lettuce wraps to die for. Salmon glazed is great.
Popular spot for business meals. Great variety of food, albeit expensive given location in the Tribeca area. Portions are very good and staff are attentive.
We were just talking about how much we enjoyed our meal. I loved the ginger glazed chicken and my friend enjoyed the noodles. We will definitely be back!
Whenever we are in NYC we make it a point to eat at VCafe. The food is always good .
À "Vietnamese restaurant" ruled by Mexican. Don't go there if you're looking for Vietnamese specialities... their food is boring, often frozen as the spring rolls...
service is great, the server was very nice.
Consistently flavorful, authentic and healthy food - Went for my daughter's 21st birthday and staff went out of their way to make it a memorable occasion for her.
We love eating here. Food is always fresh and dishes are great for all types of eaters. In love with their coconut noodle soup & husband had stew, which was very good!
We love it and our friends said they'd be happy to come down to our nabe once a week for VCafe. Love the food, love the servers, just grateful to have it in the neighborhood.
Service was a little slow considering how empty the restaurant was, but the food was great.
An attractive, comfortable place with nice service. But... it would be hard to find blander, more boring Vietnamese food. The Applebee's of Vietnamese food. There were certainly no Vietnamese eating there when we went. Avoid.
Fun food, authentic and somewhat novel. Good value food, but wine was overpriced.
A great fan of pho noodles. Also love the fried tofu with fish sauce. Very casual place to hop in for a quick lunch with friends or co-workers.
The staff are friendly, and food is good but nothing unusual
A nice surprise; very quiet on a Monday evening but the ambiance is nice, and the food was excellent. Service was good. Nice flavors in all the dishes, served promptly and hot. We will come back.
VCafe is an excellent choice for Vietnamese food. The flavors were wonderful, very large portions, very shareable - took mine home for lunch the next day and it was equally as good if not better, having aged a bit! We ate quite early so it was not crowded. The service was good and the waitstaff very pleasant. It is not in my neighborhood, but would go back there any time.
Awesome fresh food!
Amazing shrimp rolls and the Viet summer salad is a must!
Vietnamese food is a pleasant change from other cuisines, light, flavorful and refreshing. The restaurant is quiet, unpretencious and functional. Our waiting staff were pleasant too.
Some of the best pho I've had in the city!
The food was tasty. However we ended with '2' different wait staff attending to us Also the menu items were on the pricey side.
each & every plate was delicious
The food is always very good and the staff super friendly, however they are not too attentive after the food is served. You will have to chase someone down for anything from extra napkins to the check. If that changes, it would make the dining experience so much better.
we had to be in the area for an event and thought we'd get a bite of Vietnamese. We often eat Vietnamese food at a local place near our home. VCafe was no where near as good - the food was boring, bland and expensive. The place is lovely and people were nice, but we won't be going back.
no matter what you eat it is always fresh, tasty and always makes you want to return.
Good food, ambiance, and service. Reasonably priced. Good for groups. Relaxing vibe.
The decor is nothing special, but it is located in the heart of TriBeCa and there is always a table available. I love the Ha Noi Noodles. Service is very nice.
Large, boisterous groups plus loud music make for unbearable noise. Add to that lemongrass curry that was over salted, and ugly, unappealing looking dishes (chili calamari and chili tofu: what are those wilted green clumps that overtake the plates?) and you get the idea. The only thing worth eating were the vegetable rolls. We won't return.
This is my favorite Vietnamese place in the city. The Ha Noi Pho is great. While the atmosphere isn't very special, it is a large space in the heart of TriBeCa. Decent service and reasonable prices.
used open table for reservation, and it was easy...when we got there our table was ready, despite a reasonably crowded restaurant...we were pleased since Tribeca can be very busy, on any given night. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious, and we had a great table for 5 near the front of the restaurant; overall highly recommended
Fabulous flavored food and a cozy, homey setting. For full write-up go to www.celluloidclub.blogspot.com.
The restaurant was closed for the weekend and we had to scramble on a Saturday night to find something else in the area. We had an out of town guest and the experience was embarrassing, to say the least and very disappointing. I would like my points credited for this most unpleasant event.
The food was excellent at this restaurant. I had duck for my main dish and it was very tasty. We were a group of 7 and we all sampled each others main courses and everything was fantastic. The restaurant probably does more business with their takeout/delivery, than with actual diners in the restaurant - we couldn't believe how much food was being prepared for takeout! The service was a little slow but we were not in a hurry, so it was okay. I would highly recommend this restaurant :-)
Even if you're new to Vietnamese food, the staff will help you navigate the menu for mild to spicy. Excellent apps and entrees. Very attentive service too
You can order delivery directly from VCafe using the Order Online button. VCafe also offers takeout which you can order by calling the restaurant at (212) 431-5888.
