Excellent food. Extremely efficient & friendly waitress. She had quite a group to contend with that were asking for things that were not on the menu. She handled the situation very well.

The Vault was terrific. Our server's were wonderful. Not too chatty and very attentive. Place was jammed at 6pm on a Sunday night?? Food was good to very good, except CRAB CAKES WERE HORRIBLE?????

All in all we had a very good time, even with sooooo many other diners.

The Decor is Cowboy Fun, which is perfect for Cloverdale :)

We will go back to try some other appies and some additional main courses

PS: All the other diners seemed happy and appeared to be enjoying themselves. Which made for a great atmosphere.

Service was very good, gentleman was very sincere. Appetizers were tasty, tho portion of carpaccio was tinsey, not for sharing. My giant baseball lump of seared ahi tuna was sent back, it was almost obscene how it was served, zero finesse, no presentation. I was certainly expecting a more delicate and precise serving. When it came back it was cooked to a pasty grey NOT helping! Kitchen clueless (try Cactus Club for how to). Wish I’d photographed so readers don’t think I’m just being snobbish. It was gross.

Settled on lettuce wraps appetizer (as everyone else was now eating their entree) which are served with romaine so you have to balance the filling and eat sort of like toast. Would say it’s less messy than most where iceberg is used. Men enjoyed their short ribs and my friend had a salad, hard to mess up.

No GF options, and table attendants mindlessly apply pepper like robots and assume debit machine is always handed to the men at the table. #petpeeve

Really good! Service was good. Entertainment was a bonus. We were running late to our 8:30 reservation. Arrived closer to 9pm and it was not an issue. We were still seated right away even tho it seemed like a packed house! Awesome. Food was delicious!

Bosses wife martini was superb. Tables are too close for privacy. Chicken and artichoke fettuccine was excellent. Good Draft IPA choices for hubby.

Met good friends to start the New Year at The Vault. The seating was good, and the noise level was not high so we could carry on a good conversation. Servers suggestions were excellent, we all chose the Ahi Tuna, which we all loved. Good wine and Scotch selection. Our friends would definately go here again.

The waitress helped us decide what to order, the short ribs were tasty and the steak special was cooked to perfection. The sides were tasty! I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

This was our second visit and, like the first, it was excellent. The service, food quality and taste, the drink options and the pricing were outstanding. Everything we had was delicious (appies: beef lettuce wraps, tuna poke cups; mains: curried prawns, perfect med-rare steaks; desserts: luscious creme brûlée). Both times there has been live background music starting around 8:45.

Got together with friends for an evening out and chose the Vault as the food on previous visits have been great! The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals - the night's special surf and turf dish and the seafood hotpot. Our waiter was excellent and deserves high points for service! Recommend this great restaurant - they're doing everything right!

Great service, great food, cosy environment, but a little too noisy with everyone being so cramped together in the restaurant. Live music was also entertaining but couldn’t hear it that well due to the acoustics around the restaurant and the volume of the diners. Will definitely keep this place in mind for date night or group gatherings in the future.

We always enjoy going to the Vault for dinner . The food is always very good. The only thing I found was the time we went they had a man singing and playing, the restaurant was full and he seemed to be a distraction and everyone seemed to talk louder.

We really enjoyed our meal. The only downfall was they didn't have our reservation. They said their computer was down and I showed them my confirmation email. Luckily they had 1 table open that we were seated at. They need to find a way to be up to date with their online reservations.

The Vault was packed. Quite busy when we arrived for our 7pm reservation. Because it was so busy, three items on their menu was sold out which was disappointing, but understandable since it's Christmas time. With that said, it was quite noisy as well. Food was delicious. Will go there again.

If restaurant fare is prepared by professional chefs and/or cooks, then I kind of expect it should be better than what I cook at home. There were four of us for dinner. My short ribs were tender but chewy -. Another friend had pork tenderloin which he thought was good but a very small portion. The other two were great apparently - one had salmon and the other had curried prawns. We all agreed the brussel sprouts were pretty bad and probably grilled or microwaved. Hard and flavourless. Roasted would be the yummy way to do them. It's a lively funky place tho and we had fun.

Food was outstanding! The greeter at the door was less than happy to see us. The waitress, while attentive when she was with us, was maybe too overburdened with all the full tables to check on us when we needed further assistance with food, water etc. Still one of our favourite restaurants for the amazing food. Worth the drive.

Great first visit and happy to say it will not be our last. From the very professional and knowledgeable front of house staff to the high standard of food, our visit was very enjoyable. We attended Nov 11/17 ...was extremely happy to see they brought back the seared scallops...this time the dish came with prawns..was absolutely delish!!
My only complaint would be that my short ribs were a bit dry but great flavor. The Vault is my favorite restaurant in the lower mainland.

We have eaten at The Vault for many years - the food has always been great.
However, the last few times we have been there the noise level has been too much -
at times it is impossible to even have a conversation across the table.
Also, we feel that since this restaurant has become busier, the service is lacking a little.
Too bad, but I think we are done with The Vault.

We had previously been to The Vault for lunch and thought we would give it a try fir dinner. We made reservations for 5:30 p.m. and we glad we did when we arrived. This place was hopping with people and energy, A bit surprising compared to venues. Obviously this is 'usual' for the Vault as the service was excellent, food (appy, meal & desert) was presented at a comfortable pace, and the quality of food was fantastic. Will definitely return.

Great restaurant, always my go to for a special occasion or get together with a Girlfriend. It's like a downtown restaurant without leaving town. Parking is limited. Noise level is high, and seating is crowded, but it's still a wonderful place to eat and drink.
