Varasano' Never Fails!
The time and thought that goes into everything they serve is apparent. Hands down best pizza in the Atlanta area.
Jeff Varasano threatened to PUNCH MY PARTNER and RIP HIS THROAT OUT
Yeah, so we can’t leave a favorable review here.
Varasano quickly escalated a service compliant to threats of physical violence.
With an attempt to be succinct and omit emotion, here’s what you need to know:
Our party of 7 ordered a variety of drinks, salads, calzones, and pizzas.
Food was delivered sporadically over the next 45 minutes with one pizza never arriving.
Our server apologized that the kitchen got overwhelmed, but with one person’s food never arriving, we asked to speak to the Manager.
We noticed a man continue to clean tables after our server advised him of our issue.
When he made his way to our table, we mentioned the missing order, but took a greater offense that he prioritized cleaning tables over taking care of customers.
He quickly proclaimed he was Jeff Verasano, the Owner, he didn’t need to be told how to run his business, and we were welcome to PAY AND LEAVE.
Separate from the group, my generally soft spoken partner later asked Varasano if he treated all of his customers this way, who responded by threatening to punch him in the face and shouting, “I should just rip your throat out”.
So, it’s clear that Jeff has issues bigger than us.
I mean, running a restaurant is hard, so let’s help take that burden off his plate.
I’ll certainly be sure to tell everyone I know, any of his potential franchisees, and even perfect strangers that Varasano needs a break.
What a giant disappointment. We have been going to Varasano's for Friday night dates since we began dating several years ago. It's been about a year since our last visit, and it has changed so much we won't go back. The caprese salad was 1/2 the size it use to be, our pizza crust was so charred, we were only able to eat the toppings.
Sad to see that the new ownership has made it a place we will not return to.
Niko, our waiter was excellent! Our birthday girl loves the pizza there and it was a perfect place to celebrate her birthday!
My brother, Mother and myself went for Easter brunch/lunch weather was nice so we were able to sit outside.
We all really enjoyed our meal and the surroundings.
My husband and I regularly take out from Varasano's but this was the first time I had eaten there.
First time there, you need to update your menu on the web site, but other than that we will come back, I'd come for the house salad alone GREAT FOOD!
We had an incredible time. They treated me kids like royalty. They even let them kneed the dough an have them aprons.
Family birthday celebration for our 29 year old son and daughter-in-law. Great service and terrific food. We had apps, pizza and
Gluten free pasta...all delish. For us, it was a 35 minute drive and worth it!
Server was excellent...a Philly guy. Food was outstanding.
Service was terrible. All of the servers seemed to be annoyed with their jobs. Overheard them complaining about customers. Meatballs we got were cold they forgot our salad we ordered... pizza was OK. Also SO many kids running around which is fine but I guess I didn't realize that was the crowd on a Friday night. Sorry but there are so many other pizza places I will now be going to...
Best pizza in Atlanta!
Each pie has s a work of art.
Freshest ingredients period!
We heard about the great pizza and cannoli online and satisfied my curiosity 100%
We both ordered pasta this time at our favorite pizza place (although the pizza does vary from the best to a bit soggy) and both posts tasted good, problem was one of us got our pasta during the apps and the other pasta dish didn't arrive until 15 minutes later.
Just ok, ordered 2 pizzas and a salad. Pizzas were both “wet” underneath 2 meat toppings and not very good.
Caesar salad was terrible and WAY over priced at $9+ bucks.
Poor value and mediocre quality overall
Was awesome, we took 5 eight year olds for a birthday party. Staff was amazing and very attentive. They let the girls sit up at the bar and gave them each dough to work with. Food was amazing including pizza and pasta. Great Experience!
It was Dope!
I know Verasano's from the airport, and thought we'd check out the real restaurant. The pizza was good, although a little soggy. The service was rushed. They really made us feel like they wanted us out of there, taking plates away before I had even finished my slice. I'm not sure I would go back.
5/5 would eat again
Varasano's has distinctive and delicious pizzas. Best crust in town.
Our server was attentive and friendly. The breakfast pizza was phenomal.
The pizza is still great. The service, however went downhill. It feels like they are doing you a favor when they take your order. No wonder why the place which used to be packed is now completely empty. It’s a shame because the pizza is one of the best in town.
Great atmosphere and good service. The cappuccino froth was out of order but the outing was nice.
Great waitress great pizza
Some of the better pizza in Atlanta, but they are very proud of it...
Can't beat Jeff's pizza!
The "BBC" ....Bubbles, Blisters & Char makes the perfect crust!!!
bottomless wine and pizza is no mas :( now the bottomless wine pricing is no different than grabbing a bottle yourself, otherwise when you add a pizza and you're in $30.00 range. 3 people: three basic pizzas, 3 'bottomless' wines, two desserts $162.37 OUCH !!!!
I travel in Italy and Varasano's actually does real Napoli pizza. Always a hit!
Awesome! Will be back! Owner fixed us several pizzas to try lots of different things. All were fantastic! The doughnuts and pizzette were delicious!
We love eating here but tonight I literally refilled our own drinks after being ignored....
Coke, Diet Coke, etc at the station near the restrooms - just got up, refilled and walked back to the table...
Never saw our waiter again - little skinny-jeans white guy....(dont know his name) but Jeff needs some serious help with his help!!!
The pizza was soggy and exceedingly oily, with almost no cheese throughout. Much better Napoletana-style pizza can be found at Antico or Ammazza - not worth the hassle or the trip. The waitress also was nowhere to be found when it came time to collect our form of payment - we had to wait almost 10 minutes, then walk around the restaurant, find a different waitress, and get her to ring us up instead.
This restaurant should be an icon in the world of pizza.
Best pizzas and salads in town, but plan to share salads. They are huge!
The food was great, but the servers were not as friendly. When we walked in, the staff looked at us like we had a duck on our heads. If it were not for the fact that a friend recommended the place, I may have walked out. Food good, but service could have been better.
The pizza was the best I have ever had. I do not know why it took me so long to check this place out. I will not be able to eat pizza anywhere else now.
We really enjoyed this spot for brunch. For $15 you can have all the bottomless mimosas, blood mary's or bellini's you want. The brunch food and the pizza were soo good! Our only complaint was that the food came out one at a time, some times 5-10 minutes in between.
One of my top three pizza places in Atlanta (Shorty's is the other contender). Would always recommend this place. Fresh products, quality preparation and worthy the effort for anyone to go (more adult than a kids-eat-free place) - updated review : they've changed their wine special on Tuesdays, not as good a value as it had been
We love this place! Jeff Varasano makes an awesome thin crust, gotta eat fresh pizza.
This restaurant has gone downhill. The service was terrible . We had to wait a long time to get service, and got it only after I flagged down a server. Slow service throughout the meal.
