Varasano’s website has attracted international attention as the most accurate and extensive online resource about gourmet pizza. There are currently over 20,000 links to his recipe making it Google’s #1 place for how to make pizza.
Awesome food. High temp Margherita made by owner is amazing. Super staff and an owner, Jeffery, who cares deeply about customer satisfaction.
Terrific. Fun. Great food. Terrific service with Mary Kent. Perfect choice for after the show dinner and drinks.
The wine was great, caprese salad delicious, portions huge and satisfying. We split a pizza (I can’t remember the name but it was listed as Jeff’s favorite) and the Penne Vodka pasta with chicken. It was all great!
Really great place for our party of 15. Our server was wonderful, and the food was delicious.
Great local Italian/pizza. A favorite for brunches.
This was my first visit to Varasano's in quite some time. I used to eat there often with 3 of my best friends but one moved away and another, my BFF, passed away from cancer. This place holds great, yet bittersweet memories as Varasano's was my BFF's favorite pizza place. That all being said, it was great to return and find the food, especially the pizza, both unchanged and excellent. We settled on 2 of my all-time favorites, the house salad and the Salumi pizza. Both were as good as they ever were and I'd definitely recommend this combo to new patrons as a good introduction to the restaurant. As we were visiting on a Friday evening at 7:30, I was surprised to find the restaurant almost empty. In the past, Friday night always guaranteed either required reservations or a wait. Our server, who was mostly competent, neglected to pour the wine or even offer a taste for approval. She just open the bottle and placed it on the table after removing the cork. I know this is a casual pizza place but a $36 bottle of wine should come with proper wine service. She did state it was an unusual Friday night as they are usually busier. I certainly hope that is the case as Varasano's has always been, and remains, an excellent pizza spot with good value.
Great Food, excellent service, wonderful quiet atmosphere that enabled everyone at my table to enjoy conversation. Thank you for not playing loud music! My family had a delightful evening together there.
Brunch is not very good. Love the bottomless mimosa only.
The absolute best brunch! The unlimited drinks can be switched between mimosas, Bellinis and bloody marys. They are very quick to keep your glass full. Also, the food is amazing. I LOVE their pizzas. I recommend adding their capicola onto your pizza if you are a meat eater. I also love the Chica Bella which comes with super fresh arugula with a splash of lemon on top that really pairs well with the rich pizza. The only thing I would recommend is the parking is a little strange you park in a deck behind the restaurant. Once you figure it out it is easy and super close but the first time can be confusing.
The highest quality food with excellent service. Some of the best pizza is Atlanta!
Outstanding service only exceeded by best in town pizza. Had a few pies with the guys and they were all excellent.
While we're all here for the legendary pizza, don't leave without having dessert.
Amazing pizza! Such a quaint little neighborhood bar pizza joint! Service is always great!
Place was kind of run down
Varasano's Pizza is a gem to be found! If I could Rate Jeff Varasano 10 stars, I would! His pizza is way above the rest and I highly recommend to everyone! All fresh herbs, quality meats and cheeses, on top of his Gold Star Crust make for a great meal.
Our absolute favorite pizza in Atlanta. Love the wait staff and cooks, too. They are always really friendly and make my daughter feel like the center of attention.
Perfection. Every. Time.
Great experience... The staff was wonderful
Best pizza in Atlanta! Crust is thin & crisp, never burnt. Topping is melt-in-the-mouth. Taste is truly fine! The service is always friendly and items one needs (pepper, for example) are quickly obtainable.
Noise level from children is sometimes too much, but Sunday evening it was quiet as children were kept busy playing with dough. Keep it up, Jeff!
The pizza was amazing and the spinach salad was excellent. This is now our favorite pizza in Atlanta by far.
It was a perfect date night! The food was great and so was our server. Since I'm a server, I'm more aware of the kind of service I get and what the server is doing. So it's hard for me to enjoy myself when I go out. I have to say that our server Madeline was amazing! She really made our experience perfect! She was really attentive, she was knowledgeable of the menu and had a great attitude. We didn't have to ask for anything because she was already on top of it. I love when a server just knows what the table needs without us asking for it. We're definitely going to come back with some friends and have Madeline as our server. Great time, great food, fabulous service.
Food and service were great
Jeff came to our table and offered to make special pizzas for us. We told him to surprise us and surprised we were! Just as good as any pizza I’ve had in Tuscany. Thanks Jeff and look forward to visiting again.
Pizza was excellent and the service was very good. Our waitress was very pleasant with a nice touch of southern charm. I would go back for the pizza and the company.
We really enjoyed Varasano's for Father's Day lunch. It had been a couple of year since my last visit but the food is still terrific. Highly recommend.
Service as iffy
Great pizza and the waiter was awesome!
There is NO BETTER pizza in Atlanta than Jeff's!
It's all about the crust.....I call it the BBC = bubbles, blister & char
Although service does vary it's far and away a better crust than any other.
We love the caramelized onion pizza on the menu and customize it by adding hot peppers and sausage.

This was not our normal visit to one of our favorite pizzerias. Ordered 5 pies , nana's, and received them one at a time for our party of 8. The kitchen is usually very consistent, but today each pie tasted different. Varying amounts of mozzarella, basil and char. Don't worry we will be back, but with less anticipation.
We always enjoy it!
Enjoyed our meal on the patio with our dog. and our waiter was great, too!
My favorite pizza in ATL! We go at least once a month, since we live on the south side of town...
We ordered two different pizzas and they were both disgusting. I ordered Bella Chica and the cheese was gooey and clumpy, the bread was literally heated dough and it had a soft consistency. It wasn’t baked at all!! You couldn’t hold the pizza for a second because it’d just fell apart. Overall wasn’t satisfied with the food and would not recommend it.
The pizza was just so-so. I enjoy s brick oven or quick cooking temperature pizza. While it was indeed baked quickly the very small amount of cheese and sauce were lame. Our server was delightful it was a very quiet Sunday afternoon on the day of our visit
Awesome service, awesome pizza, awesome mimosas - bottomless cocktails was great!
Meeting in Atlanta. Dinner for group. The service was very fast. Food was tasty and hot. This location could use a facelift, the furnishings were older.
The pizza has a lot of potential but the ambience was not quite what I expected, was younger and noisier than expected, service was ok.
Out standing service food was great price was not bad !!!!
Best pizza in Atlanta.
We hold it as the standard as best anywhere.
Adam and Andrew at the Bar rule. Always great food and service.
No pizza compares in Atlanta for the Neapolitan pizza experience!!
Had been looking forward to trying this neighborhood restaurant as I am new to the area but where to start. Menu thrown on table without a word. As I sat for 5 minutes without water, silverware or anything else, I saw a staff member - turned out to be my waiter - vaping at the station. Total turnoff. Then my waiter forgot my salad, forgot my wine, and when I told him he had overcharged me for wine, he said I was wrong. I wasn’t - made him check the menu. Oh and I still didn’t have silverware or a napkin when my salad and dinner arrived (together because he forgot my salad) and both before my wine. Absolutely not the experience I needed after a stressful day and when dining alone. Won’t be back and will discourage others from trying. FYI - I virtually never post negative reviews.
Great Neapolitan pizza. Crust was outstanding.
