   I am not sure Trip advisor's recommendation that this was one of the top restaurants in Watford as its only been open a few months. Great value and the staff were lovely but I think I was expecting something a bit different to what was described as it was a special birthday and I thought it was family run Italian. We did have a nice evening however although the menu was more for families/ outings when you are looking for a good variety menu and good value for money. I hope its a success for them as its a new venture.

   This amazing restaurant really was a pleasant surprise, i travelled to Watford with a friend and my daughter for my daughters 10th birthday so we could visit Harry Potter World. I found Vanchinos online and read some good reviews so decided to make a reservation for the day of my daughters birthday. The food was excellent and very quick service. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and even sang happy birthday to my daughter. Will definitely be back next time im in watford.

   Friendly welcoming Staff and good service. Tasty food and drink. Reasonable prices. Spacious pleasant restaurant very clean.

   We visited last weekend for my sister's 16th birthday. The waiting staff, in particular the waitress, were lovely. The restaurant, on the other hand, looks tired. There is a great selection on the menu but the food was not good (apart from the cheesy garlic bread). We had mainly pastas and I wonder whether the pizzas might have been better.

   This is the first time we have eaten in this restaurant. Parking is particularly bad, but this is the same throughout the St Albans Road. I can live with that. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese, and my wife chose the superfood vegetarian salad option. make no mistake, the food was absolutely superb. However, there was a LARGE party of young children celebrating a birthday. When we first sat down, the children were relatively quiet. After a time, however, more children joined, and by the end of the meal, the noise was intolerable. No attempt was made by the parents or staff to quieten them down, and no consideration was made towards the other diners, who like us had to 'sit, grin and bear it'. Since posting this review I have contacted the restaurant directly, and they have assured me that no further childrens parties will be held in the evenings. I hope that this is the case, as I am sure many mature diners will get to know of the restaurant and come on a regular basis to enjoy the excellent cooking. We need independents such as Vanchinos as we have far too many mediocre chains.

   This is a great addition to the selection of restaurants in Watford. We love Italian food and the menu here covers all tastes. We particularly noted that there is a large selection of breakfast items on the menu so we'll have to go back there again soon.

   Read great reviews and visited as a bit of a sceptic. The food and service were faultless, great value too. I would not consider the venue to be romantic or intimate or particularly to my taste but the other aspects were faultless.
